Generally speaking, those who join this grand battle eventually have to join either the Red Army or the Blue Army. Only then can they distinguish friend from foe on this battlefield filled with warriors of various races and types. However, Elsa didn’t join either side.
She simply stood directly in the center of the battlefield.
Her attitude was clear—she didn’t fight for anyone but herself; she fought only for herself!
Little Ai stood by Elsa’s side, shivering all over. He had survived for a long ti on this eternal battlefield partly because of his decent strength. On the other hand, his sharp instinct for danger always allowed him to avoid fatal peril. But now, Little Ai was regretting his initial choice. Clinging to powerful coattails wasn’t wrong, but were these coattails perhaps too terrifying? Standing so upright here, was she planning to make enemies of everyone on the battlefield?
Typically, the location in the center of the battlefield is where the Heavenly Kingdom’s appearance was most frequent. This spot was also the most fiercely contested and the most dangerous. Therefore, initially, both sides would commit a considerable force there, and before deploying their troops, the commanders of both the Red and Blue armies would carefully choose their mont.
Now, the commanders from both sides were dumbfounded.
There stood Elsa, the Celestial Clan’s little princess, who alone had conquered the Ghost Spirits—a person whom even the Emperor of the Celestial Clan found troubleso—right in the center of the battlefield.
How were they to conduct the battle now?
At this mont, the Darkness Saintess was watching Elsa intently. Disguised as the core of the Steel Roses rcenary Group, they had always been very active in combat. Trusted by their commanders for their strong abilities, more and more important tasks were entrusted to them. Although she had long heard that Elsa, the Celestial Clan’s little princess, had suddenly appeared in the city across from them, due to issues of identity, the Darkness Saintess had never had the chance to see her. Now, having seen her, she confird it was indeed Elsa. Could it be that she was also interested in the descending Heavenly Kingdom?
Both commanders were extrely troubled. The battle was about to begin, and the Teleportation Gate to the Heavenly Kingdom, calculated in their strategy, was about to materialize. Would Elsa remain motionless like this?
"Everyone, steer clear of Elsa if you don’t want to die! And even if you wish to seek trouble with her and die, hide our Red Army insignia first. I don’t care if you want to die, but don’t cause trouble for !" the Red Army commander ordered.
At the sa ti, the Blue Army commander issued a similar order. Both sides’ commanders, as if by an unspoken agreent, told their soldiers to avoid Elsa. After all, no one knew Elsa’s true strength, and if not treated with caution, it could potentially bring about major trouble for themselves.
Then, the battle began amidst an odd atmosphere. Despite being right in the center of the battlefield, there was never anyone within a ten-ter radius of Elsa. Even if soone charged too far, they would imdiately take a detour and keep their distance from her. Initially, Little Ai was fraught with worry, but as he saw the trendous deterrent power that Elsa possessed, all his anxiety vanished. He felt he had probably never made a more correct decision in his life and secretly vowed to himself to serve Elsa well, ensuring her utmost satisfaction. If he could manage to leave this place with her, that would be even better!
As the battle intensified, the initially restrained warriors of both the Red and Blue armies were now seeing red, releasing increasingly powerful skills. Spells and Fighting Aura techniques that went astray flew towards Elsa, and as her follower, Little Ai knew that he couldn’t trouble Elsa with such matters. Therefore, Little Ai busily shielded Elsa from various skills.
Indeed, within both the Red and Blue armies, not everyone was pleased with Elsa. So veterans who had been there longer didn’t quite understand Elsa’s actual strength and thought people exaggerated it—often it was a case of deception breeding more deception. Of course, since the commanders had given their orders, no one foolishly went to trouble Elsa.
It was the appearance of the Teleportation Gate that changed everything.
The Teleportation Gate referred to the portal leading into the descending Heavenly Kingdom.
The exact location where each Teleportation Gate appeared was never fixed; it was always approximate. Therefore, from the beginning, both sides fought fiercely in an attempt to occupy a larger area, allowing more of their own to have the chance to enter.
This ti, the signs that the Teleportation Gate was about to appear were on the side closer to the Blue Army. Seeing this, the Blue Army commander was naturally elated and imdiately sent more troops towards the Gate. A squad prepared with Fine Gold was also secretly getting ready, constantly prepared to exchange for the Golem’s artillery fire. On the other hand, seeing that the Teleportation Gate was about to erge on the Blue Army’s side, the Red Army imdiately deployed the Steel Roses rcenary Group as the vanguard to breach a gap for the following troops to rush towards the Teleportation Gate. At the sa ti, another squad tasked with escorting Fine Gold was also secretly prepared—exchanging for artillery fire had to be used at the most crucial mont.
Just as both sides were nearly ready for everything, Elsa suddenly moved.
Elsa, who had only been standing and observing the battlefield’s changes, lifted her feet walking toward the Teleportation Gate. As her follower, Little Ai was shocked on the spot. How could he know that Elsa was planning to change position? He originally thought Elsa would calmly watch the two sides fight to the death and that would be the end of it! But with Elsa moving, how could he not follow?
Little Ai carefully followed behind Elsa, watchful of the surroundings. As soon as Elsa moved, he imdiately felt countless eyes filled with aggressive intent around them—so from the Red Army and so from the Blue Army—yet so far, no one dared make any rash movents. The battling factions even cleared the way for Elsa to advance.
But as Elsa ventured deeper, the battle ahead grew more intense, and it was impossible for the opposing forces to forcibly separate at this ti. Finally, a soldier from the Blue army could not contain himself any longer, he bellowed, "So Celestial Clan princess! Today, I really want to see if this princess can withstand my blade!"
An individual from the Exoskeleton Clan, with an exoskeleton, suddenly charged towards the sky, a long, narrow single-edged blade in his hand. In the air, he transford into a streak of light, accelerating towards Elsa.
"It’s an Exoskeleton Clan swordsman!" Little Ai exclaid nervously. This race was like a hybrid of insects and humans, extrely swift in their movents, with their swordsn especially known for their speed, accuracy, and ruthlessness. Facing such an enemy, Little Ai didn’t dare to confront them head-on!
But in the next mont, a Light Wing swept across from mid-air, and the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman, now a streak of light, was directly cleaved into two halves, falling on either side of Elsa. His long blade was also split, with half the blade piercing straight into the chest of an unfortunate soldier, who exploded into pieces instantly!
Even though he was chopped in half, the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman was still not dead. His upper half suddenly lunged at Elsa, with the half-broken blade in his hand emanating a startling light!
Clang!
The blade struck a Light Wing and the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman could not advance any further. At the sa ti, the lower half of the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman also leapt up, with blades erging from behind its heels, stabbing directly towards Elsa.
"Hum!"
Dozens of Light Wings suddenly burst open behind Elsa, sweeping sideways, and both the upper and lower halves of the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman were cut into countless pieces.
These Light Wings also swept over Little Ai, who thought he was dood, but to his surprise, he discovered he was completely unhard! The Light Wings’ attack could actually distinguish friend from foe! It was like a miracle! Little Ai didn’t know much about this princess from the Celestial Clan, but in fact, he didn’t need to know too much. All he needed to know was that Elsa was very strong; that was enough for him.
Seeing the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman chopped into pieces, his severed parts still did not die! Not only were they still alive, each part began flying towards the head, rging at the wounds, and rapidly regenerating! This ti, the Exoskeleton Clan swordsman did not attack anymore. Its eyes were fixedly staring at Elsa when suddenly, a person with a fierce Fighting Aura rushed up. The Exoskeleton Clan swordsman swung his half-blade, and despite it being only half its length, the remaining edge parried the sudden assault from the other and, with a fierce turn, cleaved the assailant in two.
Little Ai watched with frightened astonishnt. Although he had confidence in his own strength, facing an Exoskeleton Clan swordsman, he was not sure he could penetrate the opponent’s exoskeleton. Especially since these mbers of the Exoskeleton Clan were known for their stubborn nature; once they set their mind on sothing, no one could change it. If they deed you an enemy, you would remain their enemy for life!
However, this was not the problem—the issue was that those from the Exoskeleton Clan always moved in groups!
In the blink of an eye, a dozen Exoskeleton Clan swordsn had surrounded Elsa.
"Are you serious?" Elsa finally spoke.
"This is the Eternal Battlefield. Here, knowledge is gained through strength, not through so worthless Celestial Clan princess title. If you want us to recognize you, you’d better speak with your own strength," said an older-looking Exoskeleton Clan swordsman.
"Firstly, I agree with your point; strength is crucial here. Secondly, I am not ’so worthless Celestial Clan princess.’ I am the Celestial Clan princess! Whether you recognize it or not! I don’t care if you do or don’t! So, if you want to test my strength, you can make a move now, but out of humanitarian concern, let remind you—if you get sliced up by this ti, don’t ever dream of regenerating again," Elsa said, her expression barely changing as if she were rely making casual conversation. But no one dared to doubt the truth of her words.
"Sword formation!" the leading elder Exoskeleton Clan swordsman growled.
At this mont, the battle around them started to withdraw from the area. On one hand, this was a spontaneous action by the soldiers; on the other hand, commanders from both sides also wanted to know just how powerful this Celestial Clan princess really was, whether she truly had the ability to overturn the entire battlefield!
"Your Highness, what should I do..." Little Ai, watching as the Exoskeleton Clan swordsn protected both him and Elsa, felt so nervous he was almost in tears. What in the world was this?
"Put your hands over your head and squat down," Elsa instructed. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please co to Qidian (qidian) to cast your recomndation votes and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian to continue reading.)
