Lyd Jon’s laughter was not because Elma’s words were particularly funny, but because he discovered that Elma, who used to be on the brink of death, now behaved exactly like a sixteen-year-old child. Could the age of a person’s body really have such an imnse impact on their personality? Obviously, Lyd Jon was unaware of the efforts Long Yi had made to subtly change Elma, all to lower his guard and ultimately coax him into revealing the location of his mories.

Ever since that battle, Lyd Jon had started to actively make contact with the Ascender. Although Long Yi had never openly acknowledged his identity, Lyd Jon was sure from his eyes and behavior that he knew the Ascender was none other than Long Yi.

"Then, Ascender, do you think there’s still room for improvent for these Crazy Demons, Semi-Crazy Demons, and Black Crystal Mages?" Lyd Jon asked Long Yi. At that mont, Elma was also by his side. He had wanted to ask this question for a long ti but sohow never dared, fearing that asking such a question may provoke the Ascender’s anger.

"If I insisted there was no room for improvent, it would seem like I am incompetent, but in truth, there are not many thods available. There is one simple thod to enhance the strength of Crazy Demons that could be tried," Long Yi said.

"Oh? What thod?" Elma’s eyes lit up.

"Let the Crazy Demons absorb more Crystal Poison. More Crystal Poison will bring even greater power; this is the most straightforward and simple approach," Long Yi explained.

"Then, apart from this thod?" Elma hurriedly asked, sensing from Long Yi’s tone that there might be another way.

"There is another thod I can tell you about, but don’t expect to help you with it," Long Yi replied.

"Please tell , Master, I definitely won’t ask you to help ," Elma said eagerly.

"It is to modify the Crystal Core of Crazy Demons to fundantally enhance the power of the core itself," Long Yi divulged.

Elma knew such a task would undoubtedly be very troubleso, and he certainly didn’t have the nerve to ask the Ascender to do it.

"Then, how can we make Crazy Demons absorb more Crystal Poison?" Elma directly asked the first question.

"It’s quite simple, just set up an Array, then let the Crazy Demons absorb the Crystal Poison crystals around them," Long Yi said with a smile.

Since Elma’s rebirth, the Ancient Mage Tower had not gone mining in the rift again, as Elma saw no need any longer. His eager research into Crystal Poison had only been aid at enhancing his own power while simultaneously strengthening the Crazy Demons. But now that he had been reborn, his motivation for researching Crystal Poison had waned, and the entire project had been shelved for quite so ti.

Now, hearing Long Yi’s suggestion, Elma imdiately rembered that he had such a project!

The imnse Ancient Mage Tower was instantaneously transported near the space rift, as usual.

But when this colossal ship appeared, it encountered four transport vessels already stationed there. Two of the ships bore the marks of The Divine Auffa Empire and two of the Sanctuary Empire. Although it was unclear what they were doing, the sudden appearance of the Ancient Mage Tower was bound to be treated as an unwelco intruder.

The previously quiet vessels orbiting nearby suddenly opened their hatches, and Mages in Divine Armor flew out, heading straight for the Ancient Mage Tower!

"It will take at least ten minutes for the next transmission. Can you hold out for ten minutes?" Elma asked Lyd Jon.

Lyd Jon laughed, "We might have so difficulties dealing with an Ascender, but against these enemies, this is the routine we are most familiar with!"

The massive teams of Semi-Crazy Demons and Black Crystal Mages left the Ancient Mage Tower. Thanks to the mana amplification effect of the Ancient Mage Tower, these Commanders could direct the Crazy Demons in battle from afar, without having to personally appear on the vacuum battlefield.

Long Yi had not expected the presence of armies from two empires here; this was indeed an unexpected encounter. Clearly, the Commanders from both empires reacted more swiftly to the unheralded battle. In a short ti, these Divine Armor Mages had completed their formation assembly and were charging towards the Ancient Mage Tower. Their speed and responsiveness were so quick, it was as if they had long been waiting for this mont.

Though the response from the side of the Ancient Mage Tower was a tad slower, they had the advantage in numbers. The four ships’ worth of Divine Armor Mages combined amounted to just over two thousand individuals, while more than thirty thousand flew out directly from the Ancient Mage Tower!

"et the enemy!"

They were clear enemies, requiring no superfluous words. The barrage of magic from the Divine Armor Mage troops was already upon them.

"Mana resonance! Defensive formation!"

A few Commanders facing the enemy head-on imdiately shouted within the Ancient Mage Tower.

With a staggering difference in numbers, the initial tactic was to use mana resonance to leverage their quantitative advantage, securing a significant edge. Simultaneously, several legions of Crazy Demons completed the encirclent of the Divine Armor Mage troops.

Thanks to the powerful defense of their Divine Armor, the Divine Armor troops didn’t care about the magic bombardnt coming from the enemy, and they continued their aggressive attack strategy, advancing directly into the enemy’s magic. Having once experienced a counterattack from an Array’s defense, no one suggested using the firepower of the Ancient Mage Tower this ti.

As the distance between the battling forces narrowed, the advantage of the Divine Armor beca more and more evident. With the proximity reducing the travel distance of the magic through space, it beca increasingly difficult to dodge using agility, and the best thod was to endure the assault with shields raised. At this close range, the defensive superiority of the Divine Armor shone through. There was no need for the soldiers inside to be distracted with special defense efforts—the Rune armor on the exterior and the heavy tal structure of the Divine Armor were largely able to absorb most of the damage, and any residual vibrations that did reach the interior were absorbed by the elastic cushioning layer, leaving the Mages within the Divine Armor completely unhard.

It was this characteristic that made the attack strategy of the Divine Armor troops exceptionally aggressive. They charged forward relentlessly, abandoning all defense, and plunged straight into the enemy’s Legion.

"We’ve won," Long Yi suddenly said.

Elma, who was nervously monitoring the entire battlefield from the top, was startled by Long Yi’s abrupt statent.

"Master, what did you say?" Elma asked.

"I said, we’ve won, this kid Lyd Jon is really sothing," Long Yi said, and then turned around and walked away.

Elma watched Long Yi leave in bewildernt, while also glancing at Lyd Jon not far away, who was intently commanding the battle. He didn’t understand what Long Yi ant. What did he an by saying that Lyd Jon was really sothing? Did he do sothing remarkable?

At least Elma couldn’t see any indication of it, but he felt that sothing bad was about to happen. If those Divine Armor troops just kept charging like this, they would break through all the defenses and rush into the Ancient Mage Tower within five minutes. Once those guys broke in, that day would definitely be the end of the Ancient Mage Tower, and Elma wouldn’t be able to teleport away all the Divine Armor Mages like he did with Long Yi! The so-called confrontation with Long Yi would end prematurely—at least until he mastered all the powers of the Ascenders, that’s how it would be.

But since the Ascender was filled with confidence, could it be that this Lyd Jon had so unknown ability?

As he was pondering, Elma suddenly noticed that a large group of Black Crystal Mages in the rear hadn’t made any offensive moves but were brewing a strategic Magic at the spot.

anwhile, the Semi-Crazy Demons and the Black Crystal Mages were constantly interweaving, attempting to gather as many Divine Armor Mages as possible.

Were they planning to use strategic Magic for bombardnt?! Don’t use strategic Magic recklessly! If the defense counterattacked, the losses would outweigh the gains!

Having been countered multiple tis, Elma had had his fair share of run-ins with the tricks of these Divine Armor Mages.

However, in the next mont, the Magic was unleashed, and the strategic Magic wasn’t any offensive type of Magic but a Space Barrier.

With a Resonance tactic, a large group of Black Crystal Mages cast a massive Space Barrier. Except for a dozen, the majority of the Divine Armor Mages were trapped behind the Space Barrier. As the Space Barrier ford, all the Divine Armor Mages slowed down forcefully, but so were still too late and crashed into the inside of the barrier. Due to the Space Barrier, those free Divine Armor Mages lost the support of Magic Resonance and imdiately stopped, no longer continuing their charge.

"We really have won!"

Elma shouted excitedly.

"All Semi-Crazy Demon Mages imdiately increase the Mana Resonance to the strongest, the third group of Black Crystal Mages join the resonance now, get ready to encircle those outside the barrier!" Lyd Jon suddenly ordered.

"No! What are you doing! They’re no longer pursuing, you should imdiately return, let us leave this place!" Elma shouted.

"Under the premise of ensuring safety, we should expand the results of the battle as much as possible, to maximize the benefits of our operation," said Lyd Jon.

"You’re talking nonsense! You’re not a pirate anymore! Do you rember that?!" Elma yelled.

"No, have you forgotten, Master Elma? We are pirates, we always have been. Pirates never engage in battles without profit. Please trust our loyalty, Master Elma, but also please don’t interfere too much with our pirate way of life," Lyd Jon remained unmoved in the face of Elma’s accusations.

Following Lyd Jon’s orders, the Black Crystal Mages imdiately began their assault on the free Divine Armor Mages. Thousands of Black Crystal warriors facing a dozen Divine Armor soldiers—at such imposing numbers, not even the formidable Divine Armor soldiers could withstand the onslaught. Soon, the Divine Armor soldiers began to fall back. For the first ti, they began to use Mana shields, but the Mana shields quickly depleted, and the Rune armor struggled to offset such a ferocious attack!

"Co back quickly! Let’s leave this place!" Elma urged.

"Just a little more! Just a little bit more! Black Crystal Mages! At all costs, at least bring one Divine Armor!" exclaid Lyd Jon, his eyes glittering with excitent.

"No! It’s too dangerous! We should leave imdiately! The Space Barrier is dissipating!" Elma shouted.

"Stay calm, Master Elma! Please trust my judgnt!" Lyd Jon remained steadfast. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, welco to qi point (qidian) to cast your recomndation votes and monthly tickets, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please go to m.qidian to read.)
