"I suppose your great Master Elma wouldn’t have failed to inform you of just how close my relationship with Long Yi is?" Lyd Jon said.

"No, on the contrary, Master Elma is quite clear about your relationship with Long Yi, but he believes that it doesn’t preclude you from becoming the commander of our army because after becoming the commander of the Ancient Mage Tower’s army, there will be great rewards for you," the ssenger said.

"Great rewards?" Lyd Jon laughed, he pulled the ssenger over to a star chart and said, "Look at this star chart. Every place marked with a red dot is a market of my Red Skin Clan. My daily inco is even higher than the annual inco of so small countries. As a rchant, I have my own army, I am revered as the chieftain by my own people, and I maintain close ties with the strongest force in this plane, Long Yi. Now, tell , what kind of great reward will you offer that could possibly compare to all these?"

The ssenger actually did feel sowhat at a loss for words because even in his own view, if he had all these things in his possession, he truly would want for nothing. But he couldn’t agree with Lyd Jon because he had to carry out the orders given by Elma.

"Master Elma will provide you with a reward you absolutely cannot refuse, which is immortality!" the ssenger said.

"Turn into a Crazy Demon? Sorry, I’m really not interested. I would rather grow old and pay a heavy price for a Rejuvenation spell from Miss Ailin than beco a sort of Crazy Demon that can’t eat, drink, or even vent my frustrations," Lyd Jon thought to himself.

"No, it’s not like that. In fact, Master Elma has developed a special magic that allows one to be invulnerable to any pain or injury." As he spoke, the ssenger actually drew a Greatsword from his personal space. Upon seeing the weapon appear, the surrounding guards imdiately rushed over.

"Please, don’t worry." The ssenger handed the Greatsword to Lyd Jon.

"What do you an?" Lyd Jon asked, looking at the Greatsword in his hand.

"You may attempt to kill with any ans. If I fail to revive after any of your attempts, feel free to toss my corpse on the trash heap and then forget today’s conversation," the ssenger said confidently.

Lyd Jon looked at the Greatsword in his hand, then back at the ssenger opposite him, and suddenly raised his hand to deliver a slash, decapitating the ssenger. Yet from the body of the headless ssenger grew a new head, while the one on the ground slowly lted into a transparent liquid and rejoined his body.

Lyd Jon swung the Greatsword again, chopping the ssenger’s body into many pieces. However, no blood flowed out; instead, the chopped pieces all lted into liquid, which gathered together and reford into the ssenger’s figure.

"I suggest you try using magic, as pure physical attacks do the least harm to ," the ssenger said.

Lyd Jon nodded at a few of the guards, who imdiately began a bombardnt of magical attacks. But just as before, no matter the magical onslaught, as soon as the bombardnt ceased, the ssenger would recover.

"Alright, you may stop now," Lyd Jon said.

Gasping for breath, the ssenger smiled and received, "How about that, Your Highness, I didn’t deceive you, did I?"

Lyd Jon nodded and said, "You indeed didn’t deceive , but if you think this little trick alone will get to agree to this life-altering invitation, it might still be a bit difficult."

The ssenger smiled and then took out a second tal cylinder, saying, "That’s why Master Ailma has prepared for you terms far more generous than those offered to others."

Lyd Jon took it, and saw only one sentence: "All rights to any planet I conquer will belong to for a hundred years?"

The ssenger smiled and nodded, "Exactly. If you can conquer all the planets, then the entire plane can be yours, and this can be guaranteed by a contract; no one will renege."

Lyd Jon blinked and laughed, "I must say, this condition is indeed a bit tempting."

The ssenger stepped aside, picked up the goblet he had put down earlier, and smiled, "And this is just the beginning. We’ll do everything in our power to keep your existence hidden from Long Yi, ensuring your safety. We will also provide any help you might need—anything that could assist your victory. We acknowledge that Long Yi has achieved so victories, but please don’t forget, the Ancient Mage Tower contains technologies unheard of by Long Yi, which we have not yet utilized in warfare. Now, when all of the Ancient Mage Tower’s technologies are activated, what awaits Long Yi is only one path, and that is destruction."

Lyd Jon fell silent. The ssenger interpreted this silence as a sign of being moved. He did not continue speaking but waited for Lyd Jon to respond further.

After a long ti, Lyd Jon finally spoke, "I need ti to consider."

The ssenger nodded and said, "What do you think would be a suitable amount of ti, chieftain?"

Lyd Jon furrowed his brows, "Give seven days... no, three days would suffice, three days is enough. In three days, I will give you a formal response!"

The ssenger nodded and said, "I understand. I will visit again in three days, and I hope by then I can hear so good news that will make all of us happy! Master Elma extends a sincere invitation to you!"

Lyd Jon turned his back, facing the wall as if deep in thought, while the ssenger left under the escort of the guards. Once he was certain the ssenger had truly left, Lyd Jon did not imdiately release Long Yi from confinent. Instead, he returned to his desk and pressed a device, triggering a sudden, inexplicable ntal Impact. Then, sparks erupted from a certain spot where the ssenger had lded just monts before.

The departing ssenger stumbled, nearly falling over, and the guards beside him looked at him with puzzled expressions.

"ssenger, are you alright?" a guard asked.

"Yes, I’m fine, just a bit too tense and my legs gave way," the ssenger said with a forced laugh, but internally he was taken aback. He had never found the right opportunity to place a surveillance device, and just when he managed to hide it in a corner that was absolutely impossible to detect, he began to establish a connection, only for it to inexplicably get destroyed. It seed the leader of the Red Skin Clan was indeed a cautious person. However, he wasn’t worried, for the more cautious the other party was, the more it ant they would seriously consider the matter. He believed Lyd Jon wouldn’t agree so easily, but the offer he’d made was tempting enough.

After ensuring there were no extraneous objects in the room, Lyd Jon finally reopened the wall, allowing Long Yi to co out.

"Exquisite acting, comparable to the most skilled perforr," Long Yi said, giving a thumbs up.

"Actually, for a mont there, I was almost tempted," Lyd Jon admitted honestly.

"Not just you, even I was tempted. Elma is truly a big spender," Long Yi said with a smile.

"No, impossible, how could he be generous?" Lyd Jon said.

"Why do you say that?" Long Yi asked.

"A greedy person only becos more and more greedy. Once it’s in his mouth, there’s no way he would spit it out again," Lyd Jon said.

Long Yi burst into laughter. Lyd Jon’s ability to beco the leader of such a large-scale tribe and lead his people to where they are today was not just a matter of luck, but typically a sign of trendous wisdom and courage.

"So, do you want to go?" Long Yi suddenly asked.

Lyd Jon didn’t understand the question at first because, logically, it was obvious. How could he possibly go? Yet, Long Yi asked this out of the blue, which puzzled Lyd Jon.

"Do you an you want to go?" Lyd Jon almost instantly grasped Long Yi’s intention.

"You’re even smarter than I thought," Long Yi said, giving a thumbs up. To infer the final answer from a seemingly simple question was not just a matter of being clever.

"Let think, going there does indeed make it convenient. If they arrange any tasks for , I can notify you imdiately; if there are any new tactics or strategic changes, I can also let you know right away. It’s just..."

"The problem is your safety isn’t guaranteed," finished Long Yi.

Both parties were intelligent, fully aware of each other’s thoughts. Though Lyd Jon was willing to devote himself to Long Yi’s cause, nobody wanted to die, especially in such a dangerous matter.

"Yes, that’s actually what I’m worried about," Lyd Jon didn’t offer any pleasantries, as there was no sha in fearing death. Moreover, dealing with Long Yi didn’t require pleasantries but honesty.

"That’s why, of course, I have prepared so little gifts for you," Long Yi said.

In fact, Long Yi already knew what Lyd Jon’s decision would be, so he had prepared a safety guarantee package for him.

"First, I will enhance your body, making you stronger, more agile, and your mind more alert. Second, I will vaccinate you against the Crystal Poison, ensuring you won’t be infected by it—though, of course, if Elma tries to control you by infecting you with Crystal Poison, your body will show symptoms. But I can assure you, they can all be easily cured. Most importantly, I will have my trusted Little Zi cast a spell to conceal your entire consciousness, to ensure no one can control your thoughts; and finally, as the ultimate contingency, I will create an exact copy of your body, so that if sothing unpredictable and beyond my control occurs, I can have Little Zi extract your soul and mory, and transfer them into the new body."

Long Yi said. (To be continued. If you like this novel, feel free to support by voting with recomndation tickets and monthly tickets on Qidian. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read at m.qidian.)
