Chloe Grant was originally just trying to cover up, but Matthew Morgan’s words made her blush.

She gave him a glance and quickened her pace to walk ahead.

George Stern quickly tried to ease the situation, suggesting that Matthew and Michael both get in the car, as he would drive them to the hospital now.

...

Matthew Morgan and Michael Taylor’s injuries were just superficial, and after a simple treatnt, there was basically no problem.

However, the evening’s activities were destined to end here.

"Chloe, can I co to your place tonight and sleep with you?"

As they were getting in the car, Michael suddenly whispered.

Chloe Grant was a little surprised.

Michael helplessly raised her hand, "I’ve got an injury, and if I go back like this, my family will definitely ask about it. I really don’t know how to explain..."

As she spoke, she lowered her head sowhat aggrievedly.

Michael was simply too sweet, quiet, and delicate, making people feel a protective instinct just by looking at her.

Not only n, but even soone like Chloe Grant would want to protect her.

"I have plenty of rooms at my place, so staying for a few days is no problem. But you have to handle your own als three tis a day." Chloe Grant agreed without much thought.

George Stern secretly glanced at Matthew Morgan through the rearview mirror.

Soone didn’t look too happy...

"Thank you, Chloe." Michael felt a sense of relief once Chloe Grant agreed.

"Is your family very strict with you?" Chloe Grant couldn’t help but ask.

She looked at Michael as if she were looking at a classmate from school who excelled academically, was kind, obedient, and quiet.

"Yes." At this point, Michael’s eyes visibly dimd, and there was a bitter smile at the corner of her mouth, "Since I was young, my family has always told that I am Michael, the Taylor family’s daughter, and everything I do represents the image of the Taylor family. I can’t do anything that would tarnish the Taylor family’s image."

This was clearly sothing that made Michael very unhappy. She stared out the window, "I’ve always wanted to go to the night market, eating from one end of the street to the other. Unfortunately..."

"My mother said that street food is dirty, and walking around eating lacks image. Food must be eaten in a shop or at ho, not on the street."

"How about we go to the night market now?"

Chloe Grant suddenly suggested.

She and Michael were sitting in the back, while Matthew Morgan and George Stern were seated in the front, with George driving.

Chloe Grant leaned forward, clutching the back of the front seat, leaning closer to Matthew and tilting her head, "Uncle Morgan, can we?"

Matthew Morgan gave her a cold look.

He didn’t reply, but his expression was clear: No.

Chloe Grant pouted, instantly turning into a pitiful look, secretly tugging on Matthew Morgan’s clothes, "Uncle Morgan... please?"

"Matthew..." she lowered her voice.

Matthew Morgan’s expression underwent a subtle change. After a few seconds, he tossed a line to George Stern, "Go to the night market."

George was a little surprised.

At this mont, Chloe Grant bead with a big smile because of Matthew’s consent.

If it weren’t for being considerate of Michael’s presence, she might have excitedly run to the front seat and sat on Matthew’s lap to kiss him!

But...

Chloe still secretly lowered her head, gave a swift peck on Matthew’s arm through the fabric, and quickly went back to her seat.

"Alright." Chloe tilted her head and smiled at Michael.

Her smile was bright and particularly heartwarming.

Michael looked at Chloe Grant, and couldn’t help it—her eyes began to well up with tears.

"What’s wrong? Don’t you want to go to the night market?"
