The doctor briefly explained the situation and then left to arrange Chloe Grant’s subsequent checkups.
Chloe Grant was holding Matthew Morgan, her chin resting on his abs, as she looked up with innocent eyes.
When Matthew Morgan looked down at her, she smiled foolishly.
Chloe Grant’s smile was particularly lovely. Though her eyes weren’t big, they curved up when she smiled, and coupled with her faint dimples, it appeared especially sweet.
Matthew Morgan’s expression softened, and he reached out to gently pinch her cheek.
Lucas stood nearby watching, feeling quite unhappy.
He wanted to step forward, but was stopped by Lily Grant, "The doctor said not to agitate her. She’s afraid of everyone right now."
Lily Grant looked at Chloe Grant at that mont, naturally feeling uneasy inside.
Especially with the way Chloe Grant was holding onto Matthew Morgan!
Nevertheless, she just wanted to comfort Lucas for now.
From Lucas’s deanor, it seed like he was dissatisfied that the only person Chloe trusted wasn’t him...

Angry, Lucas finally shook off Lily Grant’s hand and walked out.
"Lucas," Lily Grant called softly, then followed him out.
"Chloe, do you not rember anything? Have you forgotten Granny too?"
Granny Grant ca over, looking worried.
Chloe Grant shook her head.
Apart from Matthew Morgan, whenever anyone else approached, Chloe Grant would shrink towards him and cling tightly.
Very guarded against everything around her.
"I think we should leave for now," Master Morgan said, observing the situation, "The doctor ntioned that she’s very sensitive now, and it’s best not to stimulate her emotions to avoid any issues."
Master Morgan, after all, had a significant presence, and in his youth, he had been a dominant figure in the imperial city. His authoritative aura still lingered.
With just a word, those around him instinctively complied and left the room.
Inside the ward, once everyone had left, Chloe Grant heaved a sigh of relief.
Then she looked up and smiled at Matthew Morgan.
"What is my na?" Chloe Grant proactively asked.
With only her and Matthew Morgan in the room, Chloe Grant appeared very relaxed.
"Chloe," Matthew Morgan replied, looking at her.
Chloe Grant nodded, "Chloe?"
"It’s a really pretty na."
She looked up again, "And you?"
"Matthew Morgan."
"Chloe, Matthew?" she muttered, then smiled again.
Matthew Morgan stood beside her, finding himself sowhat srized.
She had never smiled so brightly because of him before.
Her eyes seed to hold a sky full of stars, so beautiful it was captivating.
Chloe Grant looked up again, "Are we a very loving couple?"
"Hm?"
Her question genuinely surprised Matthew Morgan.
"You love very much, right?" she asked again.
Matthew Morgan didn’t respond, just looked at Chloe Grant, surprisingly.
Does he love her very much?
He loved her deeply, for ten whole years, driven mad and crazed for her.
Does that count as... loving a lot?
"When I woke up, my mind was blank. I couldn’t rember anything. I looked at everyone around , and they all seed to have concerned expressions, but only you..."
Chloe Grant lifted her head again, eting Matthew Morgan’s gaze seriously, "When I saw you looking at , your eyes were so focused and gentle. I was initially panicking, but suddenly I felt at ease. I could only see you."
Chloe Grant felt that words weren’t enough to describe her emotions at that mont.
She could only say... at that mont, it felt like the whole world was dark, and he was the only light. If she didn’t stay close, she’d be scared to death.
