Chapter 43: Chapter 43 Is She Here to Embrace Him?
Su ixi pointed to the items on the ground and said irritably, “Your mother brought them.”
“My mom?” He walked over, looking at the pile of things by the door.
“She said these things were for and hoped that I would be with you, but I made it clear to her, it’s not possible. Then she just left the things in my office. Dr. Qi, please take these things back to your mom, I can’t accept them.”

“I don’t believe it,” Gu Wei said.
“I have photos to prove it!” Han Ningzhen imdiately pulled out the photos on her phone and showed them to Gu Wei. “Look, isn’t this them? Dr. Su bought a lot of stuff for her ex today.”
Gu Wei felt a pang in his heart.
In that second, Han Ningzhen knew her plan had worked halfway.

She continued, “Dr. Qi’s mother also ca today, she really likes Dr. Su, bringing oranges and gifts, clearly wanting to welco their future daughter-in-law. Those oranges were huge and sweet; their whole departnt is talking about it.”
Gu Wei stopped listening and raised the car window.
Outside, Han Ningzhen shouted loudly, “Gu Wei, really, the hardest thing to forget is one’s first love. Once a first love turns back, not even nine oxen can drag them away. Why not ask them if they were each other’s first loves?”

Su ixi left work to see Han Ningzhen standing next to Gu Wei, talking loudly.

Su ixi’s mood suddenly lightened, and she couldn’t help but smile.

There was a lot of physical contact in practicing Sanda moves, so Su ixi thought she had probably completed her task for the day.
Gu Wei would definitely get a good night’s sleep tonight.
So she didn’t give him a hug.

Without waiting for his response, she walked into the kitchen on her own.
Gu Wei’s heart sank again.
Wasn’t she coming out to hug him?
He followed her into the kitchen.
He saw Su ixi take two oranges out of the fridge and then said to him, “I’m thirsty, suddenly felt like drinking orange juice. Do you want a glass?”
“No, thanks,” Gu Wei said.
Han Ningzhen had said that Qi Anran’s mother had brought her oranges and gifts.
She usually didn’t drink orange juice, so why was she suddenly coming out to make orange juice tonight?
