Zhao Gongji and his gang of ten burst into the bar and imdiately surrounded Gu Wei.
Gu Wei remained calmly seated on his chair, showing no sign of fear.

There were surveillance caras inside the bar, Gu Wei wasn’t foolish enough to actually threaten him, as that would be illegal.
“Aren’t you afraid we have more people?” Zhao Gongji said.
Gu Wei scornfully replied, “With just a few of you misfits?”
Zhao Gongji, provoked, grabbed Gu Wei’s clothes, “I want to see what you have—”
But before he could finish speaking, Gu Wei quickly took him down.
Zhao Gongji’s subordinates were stunned, they imdiately rushed forward, trying to defend their boss.

The manager hastily called the boss.

Su ixi, sitting in the car, smiled, “I must say, you’ve been quite clingy these last few days?”
“Not used to it? Do you prefer being at the military camp all day, returning ho only a few tis a month?” he leaned over to fasten her seatbelt and kissed her face.
“Of course not, I prefer you being clingy.”
Su ixi also hugged him and kissed him back.
The couple cooed in the car for a while before Gu Wei drove off.
“Hey, didn’t you bring back your lunchbox this afternoon? Didn’t you go ho in the afternoon?” Su ixi asked.
Gu Wei smiled, “Yeah, went to see a friend this afternoon.”
“Which friend?”
“A police officer, nad Zhang Miao, shall I take you to et him soti?”
“Sure.”
Su ixi didn’t suspect further, thinking that since they were planning to settle down well in Yun City, knowing more people was always good.
They went to a mall and had originally planned to eat grilled fish, but as they passed a Northwest restaurant, Su ixi said, “I suddenly feel like eating lamb.”
Without hesitation, Gu Wei responded, “Then let’s eat lamb!”
“I’m kind of missing the grilled lamb from Wu Bian Town, I wonder how Bi Yuanhang and Weina are doing now?”
“Let’s give them a call later,” Gu Wei suggested.
“Okay.”
They sat down, ordered grilled lamb and lamb offal soup, and while waiting for the dishes, Su ixi made a video call to Weina.

“They said it’s about that batch of aluminum material business from last month, and they want to check so tax data with you.”
At the ntion, Lu Lei’s face went ashen.
The financial records from last month had been tampered with to evade taxes.
He hastily instructed his secretary to let the visitor in.
The person who entered was Gu Wei.
Gu Wei was dressed casually today, not looking like soone from the tax bureau at all.
But upon entering, Gu Wei handed over a report to Lu Lei, “This is your company’s report from last month; I’ve circled a few suspicious points, have a look, are these figures faked?”
Lu Lei glanced over it and, indeed, the data was suspicious.
“If I handed these reports over to the tax bureau, what do you think they’d do to you?” Gu Wei asked.
If it was a case of tax evasion, there would be a warning, but if it was knowingly falsified, it could lead to business suspension.
“Who are you? If you have any demands, perhaps we can talk, I can offer you so… so kickbacks,” Lu Lei stamred.
Gu Wei sneered.
“So you sought out Zhao Gongji because of Xi Wanlin, right?”
