The next afternoon, Gu Wei went out again.
He packed the food he had cooked that morning into a thermal container and then took it to the military hospital.

“What brings you here?”
“I was bored at ho, so I brought you lunch. Let’s eat together in a bit.”

“Then shall we go to the small park behind here to eat?” Su ixi suggested.
“Sure.”
Su ixi linked her arm through Gu Wei’s and turned back to give the group of female doctors and nurses a wave goodbye.
The nurses suddenly felt deflated: “Ah, so he’s Dr. Su’s husband, truly a match of talent and beauty.”
“Why doesn’t Dr. Su go into show business?”
“No need for that, she has a good job, and her husband dotes on her, why bother with that kind of world?”

There was sunshine today, warmly basking Su ixi and Gu Wei as they ate.
“Gu Wei, are you bored staying at ho?” Su ixi asked.

Then, he placed a fried yellow croaker he’d cooked into her small bowl.
She was specifically given that small bowl, while he used the lid of the thermal container to eat from.
He could rough it, but his wife must have the best.
A warm feeling surged in Su ixi’s heart, being pampered felt so good.
Just then, a gust of wind blew a few fallen leaves towards them, seeming like they would fall into the food, but Gu Wei swiftly waved his hand a few tis, getting rid of all the leaves.
The leaves didn’t fall into the food, but a green bean-sized bug did.
The little bug landed on a piece of pork rib, fluttering its wings as if to show off its might.
Su ixi tried to pick the little bug out with her chopsticks, but the little bug reacted very quickly, jumping onto another piece of rib.
Su ixi grew annoyed, how could she eat now?
Her movents beca even quicker, and this ti, she deftly caught the bug with her chopsticks, securely tossing the bug out.
She managed to get rid of the bug, but now those chopsticks…
Gu Wei swiftly took her chopsticks, wiped them with a napkin, then handed over his own pair to her.

“Where is he now?”
“He…” The waiter dared not say.
Gu Wei said, “Call him and say soone’s looking for him. If you’re too scared or don’t have his number, then go ask your manager. Anyway, I need to see him now.”
The waiter, fearing Gu Wei’s presence, quickly went to find the manager.
The manager had just arrived for work and was checking data backstage when he heard soone was causing trouble, so he quickly ca out.
Seeing Gu Wei, he too was sowhat intimidated by Gu Wei’s aura, even though Gu Wei was alone.
“Big brother, who are you looking for?” the manager asked.
Gu Wei coldly replied, “Just bring out Zhao Gongji, don’t worry about anything else.”
If it were anyone else, the manager might have been defiant, thinking, ‘Who are you to order around?’
A bar owner in this area usually had so background and wasn’t easily bullied.
But this was Gu Wei.
He looked every bit the righteous hero who might appear on TV to seek revenge, targeting only his enemy without harming the innocent.
So the manager said, “Alright, I’ll give him a call for you, but whether Ji Ge cos or not, I can’t say.”
The manager put the call on speakerphone in front of Gu Wei and dialed Zhao Gongji.
Zhao Gongji had just woken up and sounded groggy: “Who’s looking for ?”
“I don’t know him, but he’s pretty tall, at least one ninety…” The manager was saying when Gu Wei took his phone.
Gu Wei spoke into the phone, “A week ago, you gave Wang Wen and Xie Cun 100,000 yuan. I want to have a chat with you, where did that money co from?”
There was silence on the other end.
After a while, Zhao Gongji finally spoke, “Brother, we need to keep secrets in our line of work.”
“Fine, then deal with the consequences yourself.”
“Are you threatening ? You know it’s against the law to threaten people, right?”
Gu Wei said, “I’ll be waiting for you at the bar. You can bring your brothers, I’m here alone.”
The call ended, and he handed the phone back to the bewildered manager.
Is this guy an idiot? Coming in alone and even telling Zhao Gongji to bring his gang?
He really did seem more and more like those avenging heroes from the stories.

Zhao Gongji didn’t want to co, but his shift was about to start.
Biting the bullet, he decided to show up.
After all, he had many underlings. With so many people, what was there to fear from one man?
