Xiao Buli kept rolling his eyes inwardly upon hearing all this. It seed Bai Yunfei's Heart Demon was indeed of a naturally innocent and carefree nature, having transford the gloomy Bai Yunfei into what he was today, "So what should I do now?"

"I have a skill, Soul Out Of Body, rember? You're now entering the ga in a state of consciousness, which is sowhat similar to Soul Out Of Body. Anyway, I think if you learn this skill, it should help you wake up," Bai Yunfei finally spoke earnestly, suggesting what seed like a very reasonable solution.

"Soul Out Of Body?" Xiao Buli certainly rembered. Back when they were exploring dungeons, the scouting tasks were always handed over to Bai Yunfei. Back when he was a newbie himself, he had been extrely envious. "That's great, can you teach it to ?"

"Of course!" Bai Yunfei spoke loudly, "Of course not, haha, this is a ga, buddy. Even if I'm now a monster, I cannot break the ga's rules. You can only make use of them."

"Damn, then what's the point of bringing it up? Just to piss off?" Although humor is a good thing, constantly being toyed with by soone else's humor isn't exactly a happy affair.

"You could kill ; I've got quite a few good pieces of equipnt on !" Since Bai Yunfei had a lifeti to spend in this desert, he had thoroughly searched it and, of course, obtained quite a few treasures.

"You..." Xiao Buli was montarily at a loss for words. He understood what Bai Yunfei ant—he was suggesting Xiao Buli kill him so he could drop equipnt for Xiao Buli. Of course, Bai Yunfei also had the Soul Out Of Body Skill Book on him, but how could that be possible? Xiao Buli killing Liu Xing before was out of necessity. As long as there were other choices, he would never lay a hand on his forr teammates. "No, no, impossible, how could I possibly kill you."

"Oh, where's your mind going? You think I'm self-sacrificing to drop equipnt for you? Of course, it is a sacrifice, even though I can respawn, dying still feels just like death," Bai Yunfei said.

"What? You can respawn?? How's that possible, you're not system-generated?" Xiao Buli exclaid in surprise. Everything in this damn ga developed non-randomly, entirely different from those online gas, so the dungeons here were generated randomly and were rarely ford again once broken, making them particularly precious. He had seen naturally respawning creatures, like the small beasts in the forests and the patrol guards of Blackwind Stronghold—even their chief couldn't respawn. But how could a monster transford from a player respawn?

"I don't know, but ever since I was transford, I've been able to respawn. Sotis if I wander too far and when I wake up, ding~, I find myself back in this cave. I guess maybe it's because there are too few monsters in the Endless Desert. Enough chit-chat, hurry up and kill ; let's see if I can drop a Skill Book for you. It's all about luck," after saying that, Bai Yunfei stood up from the chair with his arms outstretched, ready to accept his fate.

Xiao Buli knew what needed to be done, but thinking that it was Bai Yunfei, he still hesitated. What if he couldn't respawn this ti? Drawing out the Glowing Light, he took a deep breath and shouted, "Here I co!"

With a swish, his sword slashed down, -234, a number floated up from Bai Yunfei's head.

"Wow, not bad, your attack power is quite strong. Aim for the head, it's easier to die that way," Bai Yunfei seed not to feel any discomfort and even offered a reminder, which made Xiao Buli feel a lot better. He hacked away at Bai Yunfei's head in a frenzy. With Bai Yunfei not resisting, the task beca much easier. After about twenty or so hits, Bai Yunfei with over five thousand health points finally turned into a pile of dust.

System Notification: You've killed an Undead Boss and gained 500 experience points.

This was great. If Old Bai was willing, this could be a good thod for farming experience. However, upon thinking that it was Bai Yunfei, Xiao Buli couldn't help but feel that his thoughts were a bit too cruel. He hurried over to loot the drops. Plenty of items had fallen, but unfortunately, there was no Skill Book. Xiao Buli picked up the items and set them aside, thinking it would be better to give them back to Bai Yunfei later.

After about an hour or so, Xiao Buli took the ti to drink so water and rested on Bai Yunfei's chair. Suddenly, he heard a rustling noise coming from a dark corner.

"Old Bai?" Xiao Buli whispered. After a mont, Bai Yunfei, wrapped in bandages, finally erged from the darkness.

"Dying for the first ti really does take so getting used to, doesn't it? How long was I out? 24 hours? 12 hours? It's hard to keep track of ti when you're unconscious."

"1 hour," answered Xiao Buli, who by now had adjusted to the darkness. He finally noticed what seed to be a coffin or sothing similar hidden in the shadows from where Bai Yunfei had erged—probably the system-designated place for his rebirth.

"1 hour? That short? So, any Skill Books drop?" Bai Yunfei walked over to Xiao Buli and asked.

"No, but a bunch of other random stuff did. Do you pick these things up every day?" Xiao Buli had killed ti by thoroughly checking the items—a short knife for adventurers, a traveler's leather boots—little things like that, and then he couldn't help but lant how Old Bai's life wasn't much different from a ragpicker's.

"Yeah, what else is there to do? It's even more boring just sitting around. Do you want them? If you like, they're all yours," offered Bai Yunfei.

"Er, let's pass on that. They're your hard-earned treasures. Shall we start again?" With his recent experience, Xiao Buli felt more confident, quickly picking up the fallen items. This ti the loot was much better than before, but still no Skill Book. After about five repetitions, even Bai Yunfei began to feel sowhat despondent.

"I must say, Old Xiao, your luck is really terrible. After I co back to life, I'm going to take a break," lanted Xiao Buli, feeling genuinely sorry about the situation. Maybe soone luckier would have had the drop by now. However, on the bright side, he had gained a lot of combat experience, hadn't he?

Fortune finally smiled upon Bai Yunfei, and the long-awaited end ca. Xiao Buli saw the Skill Book drop and was filled with emotion. Not waiting for Bai Yunfei to revive, he imdiately opened the book.

Soul Out Of Body: Temporarily separates your Primordial Spirit from your physical body. In this state, you are considered a Spiritual Being, constantly in a stealth mode. Physical attacks do not affect you; Yin Attribute damage does not affect you; 90% immune to spells; Yang Attribute damage can cause double damage to you.

Learning requirent: Taoist Heart LV3. Learn?

Naturally, Xiao Buli chose to learn.

System Notification: Learning the skill, Soul Out Of Body.

Xiao Buli imdiately sat down cross-legged on the ground and started to circulate his energy according to the mories imprinted in his mind. Monts later, a translucent Xiao Buli stood up from his body. Looking at the seated physical form, Xiao Buli was filled with delight. His spirit moved freely about, but he noticed that the Spiritual Body was different from a normal human body. It wasn't about freely moving limbs; instead, he had to use Telekinesis. Every ti he wanted to move in a direction, he had to really focus, as if using a telekinetic wheelchair.

Perhaps this was the difference between a Spiritual Body and a physical body. However, after so practice, that strange feeling diminished significantly, and he was able to perform a series of actions fairly smoothly.

"Why are you still here?" Bai Yunfei's voice ca from behind him. It took Xiao Buli a good while to slowly turn around. In this state, he couldn't converse with people, so reluctantly, he walked back to his body and sat down cross-legged.

Xiao Buli opened his eyes: "You're back? Though I can separate my spirit, how do I get back in? Just now, I tried leaving and returning to my body, but I wasn't able to get back inside the base at all." (To be continued. If you like this work, we warmly invite you to vote for it at .
