The sun bore down like an incinerating spotlight, quickly evaporating the moisture from the ground. The water droplets, clinging to the broad leaves unique to the tropical rainforest, fell back to the earth and onto Xiao Buli's body.

"Phew, it really is incredibly hot."

He wiped the sweat and rainwater off his face, muttering to himself.

Even though he knew none of this was real, he couldn't ignore the sensations. Sotis using a keyboard to play gas had its advantages—at least you didn't have to suffer through the heat and could comfortably enjoy the scenery on the screen.

This was Xiao Buli's third day in the Barbarian Wilderness. Over these three days, he had flown thousands of kiloters. In the beginning, the landscape below resembled the forests he saw in his daily life, but as he traveled further south, the climate beca hotter and the air more humid. Riding the Immortal Crane high above, he could no longer discern his path below, as clouds and a mist containing so kind of toxic fus surrounded him. Feeling dizzy after flying in it for a while, Xiao Buli had no choice but to land and make his way on foot through the jungle.

Fortunately, with skills like Fleeting Light and Shadow, he didn't move slowly through the thick foliage.

Hissss—A strange noise ca from above, and the Spiritual Energy Shield on his body suddenly flashed white, as though sothing had bitten him. Xiao Buli turned to look and saw a giant python, about seven or eight ters long and as thick as a tree trunk, staring at him. It seed confused by the failed sneak attack, thanks to the protection of the Spiritual Energy Shield. Although the python was fairly formidable, it was nothing compared to the Lava Giant Python. Xiao Buli could not be bothered to waste words and dispatched it with a Mysterious Ice Slash, turning the python into an ice sculpture that shattered on the ground when it fell.

During these three days of travel, such minor foes hardly caught Xiao Buli's attention. He had improved his Mysterious Ice Slash through repeated use, especially with the help of the Ancient Ice Blade, which greatly enhanced the effectiveness of the skill.

Xiao Buli drew the sword closer, and the chilling cold emanating from the blade drove away so of the heat. While he was briefly enjoying the comfort, he didn't notice a small erald green snake peeking out from the treetop above him.

"Hisss—Hisss" Suddenly, Xiao Buli heard a loud snake hiss and imdiately adopted a defensive stance. Was there a companion to the giant python nearby? This sound was more than twice as loud as the previous one, but after looking around, he found no trace of anything.

It seed best to leave quickly, he thought to himself. As he turned to move, nurous little erald snakes as small as droplets of rain shot out from the trunks, grass, and dense leaves around him.

Xiao Buli didn't have ti to see clearly what they were and started slashing with the Ice Blade in his hand, expecting to see countless snake corpses fall. However, these little snakes were extrely agile and, despite their small bodies, sohow avoided the blade with their movent technique, gliding past the sword shadows and either biting him when they landed on his body or spitting sticky venom from their fangs if they were too far to attack directly.

Xiao Buli's health began to drop from the debuff that appeared over his head, feeling his strength draining away. Without further hesitation, he used Avatar Shadow Transformation, attempting to pass through them, but when he stopped moving, he found himself still surrounded by countless little snakes. The endless tide of erald serpents continued to pour in from all sides.

Xiao Buli could escape easily both skyward and underground, but he didn't expect to be outmaneuvered by these tiny creatures. A fighting spirit rose in him.

Summon Heavy Rain, Freezing Cloud Skills!

As Xiao Buli cast these spells, clouds gathered overhead and rain began to fall. It instantly turned into freezing hail, and soon his vicinity was filled with numbers indicating a loss of health. Seeing its effectiveness, he swung his blade, sending wave after wave of Mysterious Ice Slashes around him. The erald snakes hit by the hail beca covered with a thick layer of ice, rendered immobile.

Xiao Buli halted and released a giant Sunfire Spellball, turning the frozen serpents into countless pieces of flash-frozen at that scattered. This cleared space for more snakes at the periphery to rush in. Xiao Buli repeated the process, Heavy Rain and Freezing Cloud Skills, followed by shattering the frozen serpents with a Sunfire Spellball. But the snakes surged forward as if they knew no fear or death. Suddenly feeling weak, Xiao Buli realized his debuff had not worn off and hastily healed himself. Fighting and healing at the sa ti, he was busy till his True Origin Points were about halfway depleted. Finally, the tide of snakes thinned out, with only a dozen or so left, posing no threat. Xiao Buli dispatched them one by one with his Ice Blade. Having expended so much effort against these minor creatures, he caught his breath and took in the stench filling the air. After treating the snake venom, he certainly did not want to remain in this ss of dead flesh any longer and leaped out of the area with a few jumps.
