At noon on the second day, the other seven people gathered in the basent, except for Qu Jing.

Qu Jing only took a half-day leave from the hospital and left directly from there at noon. Qin Huai and the group of seven set off from Yunzhong District. The drivers were Qin Huai and Cheng Gong; Qin Huai drove Luo Jun's Rolls Royce, while Cheng Gong drove Chen Huihong's Maybach.

Originally, Chen Huihong intended to drive herself, being local and familiar with the route to the funeral ho. But Cheng Gong, claiming to be President Han's versatile assistant with skilled driving techniques, assured that since Chen Huihong's car was the sa model as Han Guishan's, he was comfortable driving it, and Chen Huihong gladly took the leisure.

Once the drivers were set, the remaining five needed to pick their preferred car, which resulted in a twenty-minute delay in the basent.

Firstly, Luo Jun resolutely refused to sit in the car driven by Cheng Gong.

Secondly, Luo Jun didn't want to share a car with Chen Huihong. Luo Jun already disliked Chen Huihong, and saying "Chen Huihong, are you sick?" had beco his catchphrase. Although he previously tolerated her, lately Chen Huihong had been becoming more erratic, speaking and acting without any discipline, and with options available, Luo Jun refused to travel with her.

In Luo Jun's words, during the two-hour car ride to the funeral ho, Chen Huihong would definitely babble on about irrelevant nonsense. By the ti the car arrives at the funeral ho, there would be no need to discuss funeral arrangents; just proceed with his funeral.

Thirdly, Luo Jun didn't want to ride with Gong Liang.

Although the Scamr hadn't offended him much, to wake the Scamr up, Luo Jun showcased an act of kindness, portraying an amiable old man, which to him was a dark history before his death. Stuffing the coconut mooncake into Gong Liang's mouth last ti wasn't enough to vent his spleen.

In response, Chen Huihong comnted that he was a spiteful and narrow-minded Bi fang.

Lastly, Luo Jun wasn't too keen to share a car with Shi Dadan.

There was no reason—just a pure dislike for Dang Kang, the auspicious beast, felt irritated by the auspicious beast.

Furthermore, Luo Jun indicated it would be best not to share a car with Zhao Cheng'an; previously he didn't think much of it, but suddenly yesterday, he felt the Mayfly was also sick in the head.

Regarding Luo Jun's picky behavior, Chen Huihong accurately teased: "Why don't you just say Xiao Qin should be your personal driver and drive you there himself."

"Luo Jun, let tell you, that just won't do. My brother's car is either at his ho or company, and I can't borrow it for a while. In Yunzhong District, you parked only this one car here. Know how much it costs to take a taxi from us to the funeral ho? Don't be so picky, last ti to the amusent park you managed to squeeze in, so quickly choose a few to ride with you, otherwise, I'll ride with you."

Under Chen Huihong's threatening remarks, Luo Jun ultimately chose Shi Dadan and Zhao Cheng'an to share the ride with him.

Shi Dadan was quite happy about Luo Jun's choice. Zhao Cheng'an, however, seed to perceive today's funeral ho site tour as a picnic, carrying two large bags of snacks with puffed food, soda, spicy strips, nuts, bread, and assorted dried ats—all available, even bringing beforehand a portion of spicy potatoes, grilled tofu, and three grilled sausages, quite well-prepared.

As soon as they got in the car, they started feasting. During this season, it was still relatively hot in Shan City; without air-conditioning, they had to open the windows for fresh air. Luo Jun disliked the breeze, so he allowed the aroma of spicy potatoes, grilled tofu, and grilled sausages to perate the car.

After finishing these three hot dishes, the duo began munching on duck necks. The cumin aroma hadn't even dissipated when the air was filled again with the scent of dried ats. Sitting in the front passenger seat, originally intending to close his eyes and listen to music, Luo Jun reached his limit, fiercely turning back, seeing the two happily gnawing on duck necks, montarily at a loss on how to curse them out.

Through Luo Jun's facial expression, Qin Huai read his innermost, genuine thoughts:

Tired, annihilate it, can these two guys accompany in death?

Due to the funeral ho being suburban, the road condition was superb, Qin Huai found the journey growing silently monotonous after leaving the city limits, proactively asked: "Mr. Luo, do you have any plans regarding your death?"

Upon asking this, Qin Huai couldn't help but lightly cough twice, feeling maybe, lately, he's been a bit swayed by the spirits, speaking so morbidly.

Luo Jun slowly retorted: "What plan can there be?"

Qin Huai couldn't resist asking further: "Then do you look forward to it?"

Despite being an even more morbid question, Qin Huai genuinely wanted to know.

After all, according to the spirit's transcendence standards, Luo Jun should've committed suicide and restarted after his failed transcendence half a century ago. He is such a rare spirit, stubbornly sticking around in the human world until natural death, much like the Mayfly.

If following the normal procedure, by now, Luo Jun would've reincarnated two or three tis, around this ti, the neighboring Mayfly had reincarnated eight tis.

Ordinarily, people fear death; no one anticipates death's arrival unless deeply tornted by illness with no hope of life. But even in such circumstances, many still harbor that faint hope of surviving.

Survival is a biological instinct.

But not for spirits.

For spirits, from the mont their transcendence fails, death becos as routine as drinking water and eating. The worst-case scenario unfolds—a complete transcendence failure and dispersal fundantally equates to death.

Luo Jun's approach makes Qin Huai suspect he might actually look forward to death.
