[Donald’s Perspective]

minutes later, I led Elliot and the elite mbers of the assault team toward the cliff, leveraging the faint twilight before us. I raised my hand and gestured for action to Elliot, prompting the Lycans on the boat to start moving imdiately.

They had climbing gear around their waists, and each person was agile, climbing up the rock face in no ti.

I followed closely behind, moving even faster to catch up. As soon as we landed on the island, I heard footsteps not far away!

I gestured for everyone to be on alert and crouched low, hiding behind the lush trees, "It must be the island’s patrol team; try not to alert them."

While squatting, I moved in another direction, but once we left the woods, we no longer had natural barriers, and the patrol team’s surveying intervals seed even more frequent!

"Your Majesty! There’s a patrol team of three approaching us on the right; they’ll see us once they turn at that tree. What do we do now, Your Majesty? Shall we engage?" Elliot asked in a lowered voice.

I narrowed my eyes upon hearing his words; a bloodthirsty danger flashed in my eyes, and without much hesitation, I continued, "Let them co a bit closer, then take them down cleanly!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Elliot responded.

I took a deep breath, leaning against the thick trunk, and looked up toward the light-emanating residence mid-way up the hillside as my brain quickly pondered the situation.

Our landing spot should have been highly concealed since no one would expect anyone to climb up from below the cliff. From what we’ve seen so far, there aren’t many man-made houses in this area, but there are nurous patrolling teams who interact closely, giving the sense that they are protecting sothing.

Such arrangents are rather conspicuous; anyone not too foolish would notice that sothing was amiss.

I couldn’t quite grasp why Henry did this. After pondering without results, I decided to put it aside, thinking to go up and check on it myself soon!

Dealing with the Werewolf Squad on patrol was straightforward for the assault team; I didn’t even distract myself to glance again. After Elliot reported the area clear, I led them toward that residence.

Although the night reduced our visual range, it was also the best ans to hide our tracks.

When I single-handedly pushed open a loosely closed window on the first floor of the building, the strangeness I sensed beca even more apparent.

The house was very quiet, brightly lit but hardly anyone was moving, a stark contrast to the frequent patrols outside!

If there were no important personnel residing here, why were there so many patrol teams outside? If there were important people inside, why were there no bodyguards in the house? These two contrasting scenarios were downright contradicting.

While pondering these issues, I had already climbed through the window and entered, with Elliot right behind , and the other Lycans tense, scanning the surroundings.

A Lycan stayed outside the window to keep watch, a tacit understanding among the assault team mbers.

"...I have reported everything to you just now, what do you think we should do at the mont? How should I deal with that woman?"

A Werewolf’s voice echoed from within the house, and I slowly moved closer, pressing against the wall, lowering my breath to better hear the other person’s voice.

The person opposite was silent for a while, pacing back and forth in the room as if pondering sothing, before finally speaking, "Are you sure she is almost 2 months pregnant? Could there have been a mistake?"

As this voice sounded, my expression stiffened, and the frown on my brow deepened, the air around turning icy cold while my muscles tensed!

A suspicion arose in my heart, but I couldn’t fully confirm it yet.

[Is that the Empress Dowager’s voice? Why would she be here? Shall we go up and save the Empress Dowager, Your Majesty?]

Elliot used the mind-link from behind . I turned to look at him and explained: [Wait a mont, I want to understand who the person they are talking about is!]

[Yes, Your Majesty!]

The Lycans of the assault team silently stood by my side, waiting for my command to rush in and seize the enemies inside and rescue Licia.

I was initially startled by Licia’s sudden ntion, but I quickly cald down.

I thought to myself, of course, Licia’s previous disappearance was not really due to ’pirates’; I guessed she had been invited by her own sister to visit this island.

I snorted softly under my breath, catching every word of Licia and that Werewolf’s conversation without missing a beat.

"I may not be a professional midwife, but I can still tell if a she-wolf is pregnant or not! I am absolutely certain about this, Your Highness, please rest assured!"

Upon hearing this, Licia humd softly, seemingly accepting the explanation, while my heart hung suspended— the she-wolf they were discussing might very well be Margaret, whom I was searching for!
