[From Donald’s perspective]
"Who was that for?" Elliot asked, puzzled.
I glanced at him helplessly and said bluntly, "Were you distracted just now? Didn’t that guy just say that the Bone Flute is used to summon schools of fish!"
Upon hearing this, Elliot’s face turned red, and he looked sowhat embarrassed.
He bowed slightly toward and said apologetically, "I’m sorry, Your Majesty! I indeed got distracted just now and missed that information!"
I nodded lightly, which was as much as accepting Elliot’s explanation. His workload had been intense over the past few days; he probably hadn’t had a good sleep, so it was normal for his mind to be a bit slow.
"Why don’t you take a seat over there in the chair? You’re not needed here for now," I said with a light sigh, my tone gentler.
Elliot clearly understood what I ant, nodded, and bowed before sitting down in the designated spot.
I raised my hand, signaling Benjamin to hand the Bone Flute, "The flute has been played, so why is there still no response from outside?"
Before I finished speaking this perplexing question, a Lycan hurried into the cabin doorway, bowing respectfully and reporting, "Your Majesty! We have spotted a massive school of fish surging beneath the ship; they keep swimming behind us; it looks very strange indeed."
The newly arrived Lycan, unaware of the recent events in the cabin, reported with a face full of confusion and surprise as if he too was startled by such a scene!
At this news, my eyes brightened suddenly. I stood up and took a few steps toward the window, not forgetting to ask for more details, "When did you notice this school of fish? Do you know where they ca from?"
The Lycan shook his head upon hearing this, indicating that they were also unsure of when or from where the fish had co.
Outside, the weather was still foggy with extrely low visibility; I looked at the swirling water and the faintly visible school of fish around the ship, thought for a mont, and then quickly instructed Christian, "Turn the ship around, follow the fish!"
Christian reacted swiftly, imdiately leaving to carry out the order.
Actually, in such extre weather, we could not fully discern our direction. Our only belief was that we had been advancing inward along the correct course. But at so point, we had unknowingly beco lost in the dense fog!
Luckily, we still had an ace up our sleeve. We had captured a minor leader of the enemy, who had revealed information about the Bone Flute, so we were not completely lost in this sea area.
The rumors about Poison Snake Island were largely true. Without an inside guide or soone to et us, it was absolutely impossible to enter such a place. Even if one did accidentally stumble upon it, they would be trapped in the Mist.
We followed the fish for about 40 minutes before finally escaping the fog-laden sea area. It was nearing evening, but the sea was pitch dark, stirring up fear of the unknown.
"My watch shows it’s 5 PM now, but it’s already completely dark here; is there a ti difference from the outside world?" Elliot stood behind , looking out at the darkened sky, his voice filled with doubt.
Because my position was further forward, I was the first to clearly see the faintly visible cliffs ahead. I frowned slightly and motioned to the Lycan piloting the ship to halt our progress.
Almost at the sa mont, the radar, which had been inactive until now, suddenly ca to life. Its screen slowly displayed our ultimate destination, the mysterious and elusive Poison Snake Island!
"Your Majesty! We’ve arrived!"
"My goodness! This island was so well hidden. Who on earth was the first to discover its existence? They must be incredibly clever!"
Christian and Elliot spoke, one after the other, their tones filled with excitent and thrill.
Of course, I too breathed a sigh of relief but could not feel happy at all, because just reaching Poison Snake Island had already cost us so much ti and effort. The crises and challenges we would face on the island, though still unknown, were sure not to be smooth sailing.
After all, my enemies were no ordinary foes.
I nodded slightly in response to their comnts, my furrowed brow slowly relaxing as I let out a cold chuckle and ordered, "Have the command ship stay put for now. Christian, send down a few small boats—we’ll go first and check things out."
At this, Christian sprang into action, and the Lycans in the cabin all perked up, their faces stern and serious as they gazed toward the island we were about to conquer.
After thinking a bit more, I continued, "All of the personal guard force Lycans stay on the command ship, the assault team prepare yourselves. Don’t carry too much heavy gear; let’s go in lightly ard to scout the situation up there first."
At this, Elliot beca excited. He always enjoyed such thrilling and perilous missions.
