[Margaret’s Perspective]

At that mont, Henry put down the teacup he was holding and stood up to press down Levi’s gun-wielding hand. He spoke lazily, "I said this woman won’t budge, hard or soft. Now do you believe ?"

As he talked, he slightly squinted his eyes and glanced at Brand behind , then laughed lightly and continued, "This boy can’t die now. Put away your gun, Levi!"

I didn’t know what was going through Henry’s mind, but I felt relieved when I heard him say those words.

Levi indeed feared Donald and Burton but I wasn’t sure he wouldn’t kill Brand in a fit of impulse, or shoot !

Either of these two situations, should they occur, were sothing I couldn’t accept at this mont.

Levi’s hand slowly lowered, while my back broke into a cold sweat, and Brand even ungracefully collapsed on the sofa behind.

"Neither Margaret nor Brand can be touched; what is this, taking two hostages or welcoming two mighty deities? I can leave those two alone, but you need to co up with a way to deal with Donald, otherwise, we’re all dood!" Levi, sowhat irritable, paced back and forth in the basent, seemingly helpless against Henry’s actions.

My clenched fist slowly relaxed, but just then, I felt a wave of pain in my abdon. Suppressing my increasingly heavy breathing, I leaned on the back of the nearby sofa.

Brand was the first to notice my movent. He sat up straight and moved closer, his shoulder supporting my slightly tilted body. Worry and panic filled his downturned eyes.

"I didn’t ally with you just to watch you bring about your own doom. You’d better think of a solution to these problems fast, or don’t bla for turning my back on you!"

As if wary of being nearby, Levi didn’t disclose all the difficulties they were facing at the mont. Although nearly desperate, his mind was still crystal clear.

Henry remained silent as if he couldn’t feel Levi’s urgency.

anwhile, the pain in my abdon beca more pronounced. A cold sweat ford on my forehead. Taking a deep breath, I slowly sat down with the support of Brand’s shoulder, trying to appear natural.

But Henry was a man with incredibly keen senses. Almost instantly, he noticed sothing was amiss with . Lifting his eyes, he looked straight at , "What’s wrong with you? Why are you breathing so heavily?"

I turned my head, daring not to et Henry’s gaze. Even forcing a cold laugh, I responded, "Nothing’s wrong. Can’t I just sit down and enjoy the show you two are putting on?"

"Really? But the expression on your face tells a different story," Henry leaned in, peering at my expression, his eyes darkening.

I sowhat hated that Levi didn’t continue speaking to distract Henry’s attention. Lifting my gaze, I breathed heavily, my face filled with defiance as I continued, "What does it have to do with you how I am feeling!"

Henry seed montarily speechless at my words, and then got up and ca closer, his large hand seizing my chin, forcing to look directly into his unshielded eyes.

"Let her go! She just ate too much and her stomach is unwell, she needs to rest! Let go of her!" Brand stepped forward, grasping Henry’s hand, and hurriedly offered an explanation.

I grabbed Henry’s wrist, my eyes revealing a bone-chilling coldness and a dangerous warning.

Perplexed by the scene, but seeing Brand dare to physically challenge Henry, Levi imdiately stepped forward, using a few deft maneuvers to subdue the young man to the ground!

"Boy, you’ve got quite the nerve, even daring to touch the hands of this genius dical Practitioner. Do you have a death wish?" Levi looked down at the youth he pinned to the ground, his mouth curling into a mocking smile.

At this point, I could not care about protecting Brand anymore. Pain wracked my belly so severely I nearly lost all my strength. I bit down on my teeth and glared at Henry in front of , unwilling to plead with him but also too weak to struggle!

Henry’s gaze was complex as he looked at . For a few monts, it was as if Donald was watching , but, in brutal reality, Donald would never treat so roughly; he was always a gentle and considerate husband.

Enduring the pain didn’t reduce it one bit; in fact, it seed to be intensifying. A mont ca when I couldn’t suppress a pained grunt, not very loud, but enough to spark surprise and astonishnt in Henry’s eyes.

He seed to act on instinct, easing his grip on , and at that mont, I lost all support and collapsed onto the ground like a puddle of water!

I lowered my head, unwilling to let these people see in my current state of weakness, my hands instinctively protecting my abdon as I started to moan in pain quietly.

"What’s wrong with her? Did she really get sick from sothing she ate?"

"Damn it! Let go! Margaret? You..."

Levi and Brand’s voices drifted in and out of my hearing. Biting down on my pale lips, a fierce sense of unease and fear surged through !

Out of nowhere, Henry’s voice arose, his gaze heavy upon , "This doesn’t look like any ordinary stomach ailnt. Never mind the kid for now, go out and call the dical Practitioner in for !"
