[Donald’s POV]
"Then go back! Have soone clear the way ahead! What use are the clean-up crews if they can’t move a rock after all this ti?" I asked in a deep voice.
Seemingly intimidated by my commanding presence, no one dared to respond for a mont, until Benjamin finally swallowed and respectfully replied, "They have only managed to open a gap, our RV is too wide, it can’t get through completely!"
Upon hearing this, I took several deep breaths trying to calm myself, fearful that I might completely lose my composure otherwise.
"You co with , everyone else stays and follows Louis’s orders, thoroughly clean up the battlefield, and capture all the rogue leaders alive!" I said as I hugged Margaret tighter, nimbly stood up from the ground, and turned to walk towards the RV.
While Benjamin and I were busy tending to Margaret’s injuries, good news finally ca from Mark who had been lying in wait to ambush Angel!
I replied to Mark’s mind-link, gently placing Margaret on the couch with my hands.
After glancing at Benjamin, who was holding a bandage ready to treat Margaret’s bleeding, I issued a stern order: "Stabilize her bleeding first, we’re heading back to the Royal City right now."
Benjamin nodded heavily at , clearly not about to defy my orders.
I spun around and sat in the driver’s seat of the RV, without paying much attention to the Lycan driver’s hesitation and surprise upon moving aside. The only thought in my mind was to get Margaret ho.
I drove the RV out from the encircled guard convoy, heading straight towards the gap between the huge boulder and the mountain side of the highway, slamming the accelerator hard!
’Bang!’
’Screech!’
A severe collision noise was heard as the front of the vehicle slamd into the sides of the gap, the body of the RV screeching painfully as it scraped against the boulder and mountain wall. The Lycan beside uncomfortably covered his ears, while I was as if deaf to it all, only Margaret’s blood-stained upper body fuelling my tense nerves!
"Your Majesty! It’s impossible to get through like this, the vehicle will get stuck!"
"Who said it’s impossible to get through? Not even the Moon goddess can stop today!" I gripped the steering wheel tightly, flooring the accelerator.
The RV in my hands beca an indomitable steel beast, plunging forward fearlessly even if the road ahead was filled with knife edges and ravines.
When the vehicle’s body squeezed its head through the gap, I considered retracting the harsh words I had previously directed at my subordinates.
They weren’t completely useless, after all; carving out such a path in such a short ti was no simple task.
The specially reinforced RV was ultimately ruined in my hands, erging from the gap scraped and scarred, we still burst through!
"My God, Your Majesty! We actually made it through..."
"You drive for the remainder of the journey, I want you to get us back to the Royal City at top speed! Do you understand what I an?" Ignoring the Lycan driver’s gasp, I began unbuckling my seatbelt as I issued the command.
He swallowed nervously as I stepped out of the driver’s seat, nodding and taking his place at the wheel.
As I returned to Margaret’s side, the RV surged forward on the road, and by that ti Benjamin had roughly managed to stop her bleeding.
Gently cradling Margaret back into my arms, I looked at Benjamin and asked, "It’ll take at least half a day to get to the Palace from here, can she hold out that long? Tell anything you need to do, just say it!"
Benjamin took a sharp intake of breath, stood up, and grabbed the satellite phone from a nearby desk, looking in the eye he said directly, "Half a day is just the driving ti. If Your Majesty notifies the Holy dical Pavilion at the Palace and asks them to send a helicopter for us, it would only take two hours!"
"We have already entered the Royal City’s territory, using military helicopters is not out of line, Windstorm Pack has its own ss to deal with, and they would hardly dare make an issue out of this! This way, we can save the ti the Lycan Queen would lose on the road, and Elliot could receive treatnt sooner!"
Benjamin handed the satellite phone and continued, "Although I’ve managed to stop Her Majesty’s bleeding, she can’t sustain this condition for long. To prevent further complications, we have to race against ti, Your Majesty!"
