It was so glaringly obvious once I thought about it really. The thing about all the gods I have seen in this world is that they weren't just in charge of a domain but embodied it as well. Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, the lake guardians and even Arceus all acted like the domains they had. Rayquaza was listless or dominating as the sky, Kyogre was as relentless or calm as the sea and Groudon was as still or violent as the land. Each of the lake guardians was wise, willful or emotive as per their domains.-
It fit all too well, godhood wasn't just about a new level of power but embodying what you held as a domain. "I need to thank you. You've just helped figure out the final step I was missing to achieve godhood. All I must do is take that final step now." I said with a smile. "What!?" Rui exclaid and even Wes seed stunned at this. I chuckled "I can see how suddenly saying that could be so surprising but it's true. I was stuck on the final part of becoming a god as I simply didn't know what it was that I needed to do."-
"You've inspired to find it just now so I must thank you. You've likely saved quite the amount of ti or maybe you didn't, reality is funny like that." I said as I felt my divinity shift slightly forward at that statent. "But how though? Surely becoming a god isn't so easy right?" Wes asked confused. "Oh most definitely not. As I said I was almost all the way there already, the really hard part was done. What I needed was less of a challenge and more a matter of perspective shift." I explained honestly.-
"You're welco, I guess?" Rui said confused still. "Don't strain yourself trying to understand it, it's one of those things that makes little sense unless you had the full picture and so rather interesting experiences." I said with a chuckle. At the sa ti I understood how the original Ho ho's offspring never made it to godhood even with it's help. To put it bluntly it was unknowingly cutting off their path to it. Each of it's offspring tried to replicate it's path to godhood not knowing that there can only ever be one god per domain in the world.-
By trying to copy the originals path they trap themselves in a path with it's end point already cut off from anyone else unless the original sohow dies for good. The original likely hadn't figured this out either and it's even possible that the other gods are mostly unaware of it as well. It makes sense as the original Ho ho was the only example of a mortal becoming divine with the other gods being that way from birth, they can't understand this aspect of godhood simply because it was not that obvious to those in that position.-
I shuddered at the thought of how close I myself had gotten to cutting off my own path due to the god that had reincarnated . It had ntioned the higher domains of Creation, destruction and Reality while two of those were already occupied. Ar-ceus held creation and Giratina destruction or at the least nonexistence, depends on what antimatter is actually classified as. Those two paths were sealed off as a result and I had gotten REALLY lucky that I chose reality instead. I certainly had no intention of spreading this knowledge however as the less gods there were the better.-
I don't an that in a negative way but even an idiot could tell that if there are only a limited number of positions available as a god the more there are taken the more desperate those who want them will beco. Even more so if the knowledge on how one actually beca a god was spread. There would be more than a few people or groups that would try to hunt gods like Galactic did but with much more lethal goals in mind. While I would be safe thanks to my reality domain all but letting reject attacks on the sa can't be said of the other gods.-
Even incredibly powerful gods like Groudon and Kyogre could be killed if enough firepower was thrown at them. Rather than introduce that chaos to the world I will keep this little insight to myself even as it ant the likely perishing of my pokemon if their paths to godhood are cut off. So far that isn't a problem as my pokemon all embody domains that aren't being occupied but eternity is a long ti and there's little chance it won't eventually happen.-
That doesn't even get started on the humans I will co to know over the many years who will co and go. "I suppose I should reward you for your help though. How about I let you witness my ascension?" I offered as I put those thoughts aside. "Really!? But isn't this like super private or sothing like that?" Wes asked with a concerned expression. I shook my head with a chuckle "Not to my understanding no. There has only been one other case of a mortal ascending so there is no real protocol or rules here." I said frankly.-
"Is watching dangerous?" Wes asked seriously. "Shouldn't be. If I am not wrong it should be rather boring to watch actually." I said with a shrug. "That doesn't seem right. How could watching soone beco a god be boring?" Rui asked confused. "I think it depends on what the person is becoming the god of, in my case it will be a bit weird but otherwise plain." I said honestly. They looked unsure but agreed to watch anyways, mostly out of curiosity. I closed my eyes and started to move my energy in the way assud the domain would function and from the gasps I heard I assud it was working but I wasn't sure. -
Soon I felt sothing sort of just... pop. In an instant my energy roared within my body as I felt myself disappearing in places montarily while in other places things changed entirely. My groin vanished, turned female and returned to it's normal state. I turned short, fat, thin, frail and with breasts all in monts like so strange shapeshifting event before returning to normal. The final change however was the most dramatic as I beca a paradox where I existed and yet didn't at the sa ti. Was everywhere and nowhere and always was yet never would be.
Finally I manifested in the room fully in my normal form but felt the vast difference between what I was and what I used to be. My body was naught but a construct to house my divine soul and rely another aspect of my domain to manipulate and change as I willed. It was strange really, like seeing all possibilities and existing in them simultaneously yet being none of them at the sa ti. The only thing keeping my grounded and not simply vanishing into the possibilities was my sense of self. I was Alexander Drake, God of reality.
