I released Gaia onto the small island of rock but it was hard to really appreciate her own glorious visage when Groudon was sitting right there. Anyways she surprisingly didn't shrink away from Groudon and stood her ground firmly. 'It is not that you are unafraid but that you can overco your fear to protect your human companion , an admirable trait. I find you worthy of my blessing , take it and see the power!' Groudon spoke and deep fiery red energy erupts from her before shooting into Gaia's chest.-

Imdiately Gaia lights up as her carapace darkened to nearly black and there is a dull glow coming from the cracks of her carapace now but otherwise there is no real change to her appearance. This didn't an there wasn't any change to her power on the other hand as that was very much not the case.

She got a massive jump in stats and even gained the move fissure which was one of the strongest ground type moves ever. In addition Groudon had sohow fused both sand stream and sand veil together with an additional component of so sort to produce a new innate ability call desert ruler. I checked what it did with the system and couldn't help but be amazed.-

It still functioned like her previous two abilities where when she hit the field she created a sandstorm and while she was in the sandstorm she got a boost to her evasion. But the new ability took this sandstorm affinity even further and allowed her to now get an all round one level boost to all her stats while in a sandstorm. In addition there was an environntal factor to the ability as well where if she was in a sandstorm she could control it to a degree based on her skill with the ability.-

In all senses this new ability made Gaia equal to any legendary species I could think of. 'I have taken that spark of my divinity you had and transford it into a fla based on your own power. For all intents and purposes you are now the embodint of the desert , a legendary in all but na.' Groudon spoke and my eyes widened. Not only because she confird my thoughts but because she had accidentally told the difference between a legendary and a nonlegendary. A legendary pokemon had a divinity to them regardless of which one it was and normal pokemon did not.-

It all made sense to now , Vulcan had the magma or volcano divinities and Hades had the soul , hatred or disaster divinities. That also explained how legendary variants could transform into their legendary parents species as well. The divinity existed within them already from birth but they just needed to awaken or grow it until they turned into their parents species. And now Gaia likely held the divinity of the desert. One thing that confused however was that besides her carapace darkening where it was already steel grey and the glow coming from under her carapace she hadn't changed appearance at all.-

'You seem perplexed mortal. Speak what it is that confuses you and I may enlighten you on the subject before you depart this place.' Groudon spoke and I sighed before explaining what i didn't understand. 'Your understanding of divinities surprises little mortal but you misunderstand sothing about them. Each divinity takes the place of a facet of the world be it a terrain or even sothing as epheral as that ghost you haves death divinity. You are correct in that the reason the offspring of a legendary can take their parents form is that they awaken their divinity.'-

'What you misunderstand is that each divinity is based on that original legendary so upon awakening that divinity the power turns the pokemon with it into a copy of the original. In this young ones case however there is nothing that holds the divinity of the desert and as a result no transformation is required. Be warned however that any offspring she produces from now on will bear a fragnt of her divinity that can be awoken to take on her form.' Groudon explained seriously. I wanted nothing more than to record this information as it was extrely important for my future goal.-

Still I at least politely thanked Groudon for the boon before we left and I released the emotional suppression I had and had to withstand all that pent up terror, excitent and impatience. Once that was done i imdiately called up Birch to let him know I was on the way back. It was a fast and silent ride all the way back to Littleroot and I was slightly surprised to see that more than just Birch was waiting for my return. Steven and Watson were both there as well when Rune landed and I got off him.-

"Best we take this to a more private location before we start." I said before they could ask any questions and they nodded. Birch led us into his lab where there were two assistants working that he ignored as we went into a eting eting. It was pretty standard with a wide table and many chairs that we each took one of. "Alright lad spill it what did that thing want with you?" Watson asked seriously. "She wanted to give a boon much like Rayquaza did." I said honestly.-

"She?" Steven asked confused. "Oh right I sort of forgot that wasn't common knowledge. Anyways those three actually have genders but are simply too lazy normally to procreate. Groudon and Kyogre are female and Rayquaza is male." I said honestly. "Fascinating! and how did you learn learn of this fact?" Birch asked curiously. "The Articuno bonded with leader Juan told after she felt the boon Rayquaza gave ." I said with a shrug. "Makes sense that that bird would know considering who her mother is. How'd she tell you anyways since as far as I know only soone with a bond or who studied pokemon communication would be able to understand one?" Watson asked.-

"Aura speech, well to be more specific aura to aura speech. Works a bit like telepathy but takes a whole hell of a lot of skill to pull off. I myself can't do so but the older or more powerful legendries like Rayquaza and Groudon can do it. You can ask Steven since he saw talking with Rayquaza himself." I explained and Steven nodded. "Yes it looked like a one sided conversation from my perspective but this explains why." he said honestly.
