Seraphina Sterling pulled the trigger on instinct, then quickly rolled to the side.
She saw the silver-haired man simply raise his hand and fire. The two bullets collided in mid-air, creating a brief, dazzling spark that was extinguished in an instant. By then, Seraphina Sterling was already gone, sniper rifle in hand, disappearing from her position to weave swiftly through the forest!
’Who on earth is this silver-haired man? He found in the pitch-black night with a single glance! How can anyone’s senses be that sharp? It’s unbelievable!’
’And his marksmanship... Did he even aim? He just casually lifted his hand and shot my bullet out of the air! This man is terrifying! Truly, utterly terrifying!’
This was the first ti Seraphina Sterling had felt a danger so close it was nearly suffocating. If she had been any slower just now, his bullet would have hit her for sure.
"Seraphina Sterling, from now on, don’t you dare point your gun at that man again! Do you hear ?" Terrence Grant broke out in a cold sweat. ’That reckless girl. Just because she’s got so skill, she thinks she’s invincible. Daring to snipe *him* after only a few days of practice! There’s probably no one alive who can hurt that man with a bullet!’
"Seraphina Sterling, you have to listen to him this ti. That man is too dangerous! The last person who pointed a gun at him... there wasn’t even a body left to bury!" Hughes’s expression was grim. ’But why would he show up here?’
"Looks like my luck is pretty good. I pointed a gun at him, took a shot, and still managed to survive. I’d say our chances of escaping tonight are looking great!" As the suffocating sense of danger subsided, Seraphina Sterling cald down enough to even crack a joke.
"Run when you get the chance. If you can’t, take your sniper rifle and hide. As long as you don’t go up against that man, none of the others should be able to hurt you!" Terrence Grant added, unable to shake his concern.
Seraphina Sterling didn’t reply, a silent agreent.
Hearing the shot, the pursuers imdiately gave chase in Seraphina Sterling’s direction. Only the silver-haired man remained motionless. A faint smile played on his demonic features. ’Interesting. She actually dodged my bullet. It’s been many years since that last happened.’
The trio—Seraphina Sterling, Terrence Grant, and Hughes—sprinted frantically, their pursuers hot on their heels. Then, suddenly, the trail went cold.
The Holy Lord waved his hand, and his eight n imdiately scattered to search!
"king?"
"It seems we’ve run into so trouble this ti," the silver-haired man said. He stood casually, yet his posture was flawless, offering no opening for an attack. His silver hair stirred slightly as his violet eyes gazed into the distance. Even The Holy Lord, who had followed him for years, couldn’t begin to fathom his thoughts.
"AHH!"
A sudden scream pierced the night, and one of the n crumpled to the ground.
As all eyes turned toward the sound, two more n stopped breathing.
Before the others could react, Seraphina Sterling decisively put their plan back into action. She was the sniper. After each successful shot, she would imdiately relocate. While the screams drew everyone’s attention, Hughes and Terrence Grant would strike.
Silent and deadly, they eliminated their targets.
"Fall back!" Having lost six n in quick succession, The Holy Lord imdiately recalled the remaining two. Their opponents were clearly all around them.
But he was too late. Like phantoms of the night, Hughes and Terrence Grant sprang from the shadows, their attacks ruthless and without rcy.
Terrence Grant went straight for the silver-haired man, his punches brutal and unforgiving.
Hughes went directly after the so-called Holy Lord.
And in the sa instant they leaped out, Seraphina Sterling had already eliminated the last two n with two clean shots.
The tables had turned in an instant. Three against two! Seraphina Sterling’s group now had the upper hand!
Relocating to a new sniper’s nest, Seraphina Sterling watched the four n fight. ’No, this isn’t a fight,’ she thought, ’it’s a battle to the death!’ She was speechless with shock. ’Terrence Grant... he’s this powerful? He’s like a ferocious cheetah, his attacks so swift they leave no room for his opponent to breathe! So when he was sparring with , he wasn’t just holding back a little... he was holding back a lot. If he ever fought like this, I wonder how many days I’d end up in the hospital!’
’It seems the silver-haired man’s real skill is with a gun. In pure hand-to-hand combat, he’s no match for Terrence Grant! But I definitely can’t underestimate him. Even though we have the numbers advantage, it’s not good to let this drag on!’
Just as the four were locked in a fierce battle, the sound of more footsteps echoed from the distance.
Seraphina Sterling felt the urge to curse. ’You’ve got to be kidding . The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind?’
She lay quietly in the grass, holding her breath and focusing as she once again aid her sniper rifle at the silver-haired man. ’I don’t know who those newcors are, but our only way out is to deal with this silver-haired man right now and get out of here!’
This ti, Seraphina Sterling didn’t hesitate. Aim. Fire. And a swift retreat. The entire sequence took less than three seconds.
