Before Terrence Grant and Seraphina Sterling could even react, another bullet tore straight through the windshield!

"Terrence Grant! That’s either an M107 or an M14! What kind of major players did you piss off to have them bring out high-end hardware like this to kill you? This is all imported stuff!" Seraphina Sterling exclaid through gritted teeth, her head ducked low. It was obvious at least two different groups were attacking them!

"Cut the crap! Just protect yourself!" Terrence Grant accelerated again. The enemy had already set up an ambush on this road. If they got out of the car or even slowed down now, they’d just be waiting for the enemy snipers to pick them off one by one.

The car hadn’t gone much farther when—BANG! BANG!—two shots blew out their tires. Terrence Grant made a snap decision. "Jump! Into the woods!"

The mont he spoke, the three of them bailed from the car simultaneously. The pitch-black night gave them the best cover.

Terrence Grant wrapped an arm around Seraphina Sterling’s waist, protecting her as they rolled down the slope. Once they found their footing, he saw several figures surrounding their car. Without rcy, Terrence Grant fired a single bullet into the gas tank.

There was a trendous BOOM, a few screams, and then the sky filled with crimson. Roaring flas lit up the dark night. None of the n who had just been surrounding the car survived.

But the crisis was far from over.

Hughes imdiately rushed over. Without a mont’s hesitation, the three of them plunged into the dense mountain forest.

Hughes took the lead with Terrence Grant bringing up the rear, sandwiching Seraphina Sterling between them. Although Seraphina Sterling had received training, it was for a short ti. When it ca to experience, she was no match for these two n. Placing her in the middle was a way to protect her.

The night wind howled past their ears.

In the silent mountain forest, the only sounds were the rustle of their footsteps and their faint gasps for breath.

Suddenly, Hughes raised his hand. Seraphina Sterling and Terrence Grant both stopped and dropped into a crouch.

’It’s not safe ahead!’

Then, a RUSTLING sound ca from behind them. Soone was catching up!

Seraphina Sterling made a hand signal and imdiately circled around to the front.

At almost the sa ti, Terrence Grant flanked them from the other side.

anwhile, Hughes continued forward to draw the enemy’s attention.

In the dark night, Seraphina Sterling was like a nimble swallow, silently sensing the sniper hidden in a high position.

Seraphina Sterling gave Terrence Grant a look. The mont she leaped forward, the sniper imdiately noticed soone approaching. He quickly adjusted his muzzle, aid, and fired!

But in the instant the sniper pulled the trigger, Terrence Grant lunged out from the other side. With a sharp twist, he snapped the man’s neck.

In the pitch-black night, they needed no words. A single glance was all it took for them to coordinate with perfect chemistry, as if they had done this together many tis before.

Seraphina Sterling snatched the sniper rifle. Terrence Grant had no objection, silently collecting the man’s pistol and other weapons. ’These aren’t ordinary assassins; they’re organized rcenaries,’ he thought. ’She’ll be safer hidden away with that sniper rifle.’

Hughes had also dealt with a few n. His arm was scraped up, but it was nothing serious.

"king, they went into the woods and vanished without a trace!"

"The Holy Lord, do not be deceived by what you see. She is here."

The elegant voice was as magnificent as poetry. Without even looking, Seraphina Sterling could guess what a stunning appearance its owner must have. ’To catch a thief, first catch the king!’ Even though the man was speaking English, she could tell this silver-haired man was the leader of this group.

Seraphina Sterling aid the rifle’s muzzle at him.

The silver-haired man suddenly turned his head, a faint smile playing on his lips as he looked into the distance. ’Interesting.’

Seraphina Sterling, however, froze. ’What am I seeing? How is this possible?’ The sniper scope reflected the silver-haired man’s devilishly handso face. A profound sense of danger rose from the very depths of her being.
