Raze picked up the recording rune that he had made and folded it neatly to avoid destroying the rune.

He moved to the door and used Spatial Zone to check if there was anyone there, but there was no one. He hung the scarf around his neck—he wanted to look natural in case soone saw him coming out by so ans.

He opened the door and walked out quietly. After shutting the door, he walked to the stairs and went down, soon leaving the dorm building.

He looked up at the sky, black and filled with stars. Two moons stood there gloriously, reflecting light onto their world.

This was his second night here, and in just that short while, he had done a lot. He didn't waste any more ti. He wrapped the scarf around his face and walked at a hurried pace toward the chapel.

The chapel was one of the buildings that were open at all tis because they never knew when a student or teacher would have the urge to go there.

When Raze arrived, he looked at the clock up there. The ti showed that there was still an hour till midnight.

'Alex wouldn't be here yet, but the assassin—for sure, the assassin will be here,' Raze thought to himself. He cast Spatial Veil and went invisible.

He snuck over to the other side of the chapel where the window was and carefully climbed in, trying his best not to make a single sound.

Slowly, he managed to get inside without a fuss. He dropped down quietly and crouched, making sure that the statue was not in the sa line of sight as him. Then he slid down, sitting on the ground.

He would wait like this until Alex showed up, but as it turned out, an hour was much longer than one would expect, especially when you weren't doing anything but sitting. He couldn't even scroll through his system because he had no points—it would be pointless for him to.

He let out many tired and low-pitched sighs. He had long deactivated his veil; he didn't have the mana to keep it up any longer.

Slowly, ti trickled by, and a few minutes before midnight, the doors of the chapel opened, and Alex walked in. He had black leather armor on, and a sword hung at his side.

He walked in with careful steps, his eyes darting around, trying to find the person who had called him here.

Raze watched this in amusent. He chuckled and then poured mana into the recording rune. The rune lit up and started recording. Raze held it in his hand and then got up.

"You look ready to fight," Raze said. Only then did Alex notice the figure in the corner. His hands moved fast to his blade.

"Don't pull it. If you do, I'll still escape, and if I do, the whole academy will know that you lied about the issue of that boy," Raze threatened.

Alex paused, his hand just over the blade. The moonlight that fell into the chapel allowed Raze to see the rage in Alex's eyes.

"How did you know about this?" Alex asked.

"What a dumb question. Like I would just tell you how I found out. No, I'll never give away my source, but I don't have ti for all these gas.

I just want you to know—I saw you plunge a blade into the heart of the boy. You didn't think twice before you did it. You saw the body of the girl you were interested in, and you rushed in and killed soone," Raze said, trying to force out the ssy emotions in Alex.

"It wasn't like that! I didn't do it because of the girl!" Alex yelled back.

"Lies. You like the girl. She saved you, or so you think. I'm sure you've had your eyes on her for far longer. You always wanted her, and this was the opportunity that would bring you closer to her.

And now you want to justify it by saying it was the right thing to do? What gave you that right? What makes you the judge, to execute justice on a man without trial?

You had no thoughts before you pulled the blade. You allowed emotions to take over you. You, who were chosen and blessed by the seven divine gods? You stand before them now—tell them the truth," Raze pushed harder, trying to break Alex down.

"It wasn't like that! You don't know what happened!" Alex said, growing very defensive.

"What do you an? I saw it all. I saw everything you did. I watched you do it. And now you've hidden your sins, covered them up with tales that make you look like the hero.

You're no hero. You're no chosen one. You're just a murderer. Imagine what would happen if I told his father. He wouldn't care who you were—he would co against you with all the power he had," Raze said.

"He won't believe you," Alex said.

"Oh, he wouldn't?" Raze asked and raised his hand, showing the recording rune. Alex looked at it and could already guess what it was.

"This is your end," Raze said and was about to move, but a fla arc shot toward him. He reacted at the last mont and stepped back as fast as he could. The fla arc hit the wall and caused an explosion.

Raze looked in the direction of the attack and saw the assassin standing there.

"You planned this out really well. I've been trying to find the perfect angle to attack from since I heard your voice, but I haven't been able to.

I have to say, being able to get in here and hide for so long without noticing is quite impressive," the assassin said. He drew a one-edged straight blade that very much resembled a ninjatō, a Japanese sword.
