"Who are you?"

Shen Yanhe’s eyes narrowed slightly.

She quickly recalled all the people she had t before.

She was certain she had never seen this person before.

The visitor bore ill intentions.

"You haven’t seen , but you certainly know my granddaughter," Xia Zhilan looked down on Shen Yanhe with a certain contempt in her eyes, "I am Xia Ran’s grandmother."

Xia Ran’s grandmother.

Shen Yanhe’s eyebrows raised slightly, "What would you like to talk to about?"

"This isn’t a good place to talk," Xia Zhilan did not reveal her purpose directly, pointing towards a nearby café.

"Let’s go there."

As her words fell, she didn’t wait to see if Shen Yanhe would agree or follow; she just walked toward the café.

The bodyguards that Xia Zhilan brought surrounded Shen Yanhe and gestured for her to follow, forcefully saying, "Miss Shen, please."

Shen Yanhe looked at these bodyguards with a flicker of mockery in her eyes.

It seed she had no choice but to talk that day.

She stood up and followed behind Xia Zhilan; the two entered the café on the street and found a secluded spot to sit down.

The people Xia Zhilan brought with her sat scattered at nearby tables, drawing curious looks from other custors in the café.

So even took out their phones to sneak photos.

A waiter ca over to ask what they would like to order, Xia Zhilan ordered a black coffee, and Shen Yanhe calmly said, "I don’t drink coffee, please bring a cup of warm milk, thank you."

Xia Zhilan’s brow furrowed slightly, looking at Shen Yanhe with a bit of disdain.

It seed she thought Shen Yanhe wasn’t presentable enough.

Shen Yanhe couldn’t be bothered with her and cut straight to the point, "What do you want with ? I don’t think there’s anything good to discuss between and the Xia family."

Xia Zhilan’s mouth twitched slightly, "You surely can keep your cool."

She looked at Shen Yanhe with a grave expression, conveying a pressing tone, "Does Ranran’s hospitalization have anything to do with you?"

"No, it wasn’t my doing that she was hospitalized," Shen Yanhe raised her eyebrows, answering very honestly.

Xia Zhilan clearly didn’t believe her; after scrutinizing her for a long ti, she finally relaxed her expression and grudgingly believed, "You should know that there was once a marriage agreent between the Xia family and the Fu family, right?"

"Ranran and Yanhe grew up together; if it hadn’t been for that car accident, they would have already been married by now, and I could have been holding my grandchild."

"Xia Ran has told about this," Shen Yanhe replied unflinchingly, looking at Xia Zhilan with genuine puzzlent in her eyes.

"But your Xia family dissolved the marriage agreent with the Fu family imdiately after Yanhe’s car accident and went on to get engaged to the Yan family, didn’t you?"

"So what’s the point of bringing this up repeatedly now?"

Xia Zhilan was obviously not expecting Shen Yanhe to react this way, with a trace of surprise on her face.

After all, any woman would feel uncomfortable upon hearing that her husband had a previous engagent and fiancée.

But Shen Yanhe was too calm, her emotions barely showing any ripples.

"Then I’ll just speak plainly," Xia Zhilan composed herself.

She took a sip of her coffee and said in a muted voice, "Since you are aware of the engagent between Ranran and Yanhe, you should know that they had feelings for each other."

"Ranran is still in the hospital now, and her mood isn’t very good; the na she calls out in her sleep is always Yanhe’s."

Xia Zhilan’s fingers caressed her coffee cup, "I know she has always held a place for Yanhe in her heart, the person she has always loved is also Yanhe."

"Previously, when we arranged the engagent with the Yan Family, it was my fault as a grandmother for not considering thoroughly. This ti, we will respect her choice."

"So," Xia Zhilan paused, then looked back at Shen Yanhe with a cold and forceful tone, "I hope Miss Shen will take the initiative to divorce Yanhe."

Shen Yanhe sneered, "Old Lady, are the Xia Family’s thods so shaless that they can’t be shown in public?"

"My granddaughter is eager to be soone else’s mistress, now that she’s hospitalized and unable to co in person, you, this old hag, co dancing in front of , the rightful wife, asking to step aside and let her take over?"

"How can the two of you, old and young, have skin thicker than the city walls?"

Shen Yanhe’s words left no face.

Xia Zhilan’s eyebrows furrowed lightly, her tone heavy with a hint of warning, "Miss Shen, don’t forget, the position of Fu Family’s eldest young madam was originally Ranran’s."

"If it wasn’t for Ranran stepping back, you wouldn’t even be considered for that position. Compared to us, you are even less presentable."

"Moreover, I believe that Yanhe does have feelings for Ranran; spending your life with a man who doesn’t love you will only lead to endless unhappiness."

Her tone softened, but the pride on her face didn’t fade, "If you’re worried about not having a place to go or money to live on after the divorce, then..."

Xia Zhilan took out a cheque filled out with ten million and slapped it down in front of Shen Yanhe, "I’ll give you ten million."

"This amount of money is sothing you country folks could never earn in a lifeti of waiting tables, enough to support you for most of your life."

"I hope Miss Shen will think it over carefully."

Xia Zhilan didn’t want to drive Shen Yanhe away so quickly.

But now that the Yan Family wants to dissolve the engagent with the Xia Family and the company’s stock has been falling steadily, she has no choice but to approach the Fu Family again to seek a marital alliance.

Having previously dissolved their engagent, relations with the Fu Family have cooled, and they no longer agree to et her when she cos calling.

Therefore, she had to find another way and turn to Shen Yanhe, this country girl who beca the Fu Family’s eldest young madam.

After all, compared to the astute mbers of the Fu Family, Shen Yanhe, a country bumpkin, seed easier to manipulate and intimidate.

Shen Yanhe stared at the ten-million cheque on the table, slightly amused.

Before she could speak up, a lazy and indifferent voice ca from behind her, "Just ten million? Old hag, are you trying to fob off a beggar?"

Shen Yanhe looked back following the voice.

Hang Mushan was dressed in a casual suit, his shirt collar pulled open, a pair of sunglasses on his face, leisurely rising from the adjacent seat.

It was unclear when he had arrived or how much he had heard.

Hang Mushan noticed Shen Yanhe’s gaze, pulled down his sunglasses a bit, winked at her and mouthed silently: Don’t be afraid, Doctor, I’m here to back you up.

Shen Yanhe: "..."

She silently turned away and quietly continued drinking her milk.

She didn’t know this adolescent boy.

Xia Zhilan clearly recognized Hang Mushan.

After all, Hang Mushan was Yan Yi’s good friend, and Yan Yi had brought him to visit the Xia Family during the new year a couple of years ago, where it was revealed that Hang Mushan was a person from Capital City.

A person of power and influence from Capital City.

Xia Zhilan’s face changed slightly when she saw Hang Mushan, but she maintained her composure, "Little Mountain, how co you didn’t say hello to Grandma Xia when you ca?"

"Oh! So it’s Grandma Xia." Hang Mushan took off his sunglasses, deftly clipped them to his collar.

He pulled out a chair and sat down, grinning, "From what I just overheard, I thought I was dealing with so shaless scoundrel!"
