Chapter 361: Goodbye Spring, Hello Sumr [II]
For many people, there is a huge number of people who are always excited for the Sumr Season to arrive. One, people who loves to swim. Since Sumr is the perfect ti for swimming and since it was also the best ti to swim without getting attacked by any nasty fishes that are usually more active in other seasons.
Two, the change of scenery and atmosphere. Since Sumr is hot, many people would start wearing loose clothes, which in turn would allow these people to show off their bodies naturally. This is also the best ti so young people are waiting for just to flaunt around their figure.
Three and might be the most obvious reason, the sumr delicacies. Since so things are seasonal, most of the best delicacies are best eaten during sumr and sotis, so food only appear during sumr, making it a ti where so people who are looking for so food to taste would wait until sumr just for that.
In short, Sumr is the long awaited season by many.
However...
Unlike the previous sumrs that hit Darcero Kingdom in the past, there is no known record for the Sumr Season to begin with a big splash of rain to welco the sumr heat. No, that is still possible but it wasn’t the very first weather sumr was supposed to be.
"Weird. In the Almanac, the weather is supposed to be sunny... And yet the weather is pretty much raining hard. Did the Almanac starts acting up?" Elaina scratches her head as she checked the Almanac’s weather prediction many tis. She was 100 percent with the prediction analysis of the Almanac and it has never gone wrong these entire ti she was using the feature. So seeing an anomaly, she quickly noticed it.
"[That’s weird indeed. My powers do not sense any problems with the Almanac but since there is sothing showing wrong here, I think I should look check the Almanac and see if sothing went wrong.]" the God of Farming responded and took the Almanac from Elaina for maintenance and checking on the problem and quickly fixing the matter while it is still pretty minor at the mont. It would be troubleso if the minor incident would suddenly escalate to a major one because he decided it wasn’t worth checking or looking on.
Since working under the rainy weather is not a good idea, Elaina is staying inside the house. The Feys are also doing the sa so the scheduled planting was postponed until the weather gets better but until then, no planting will happen.
It didn’t take too long for the God of Farming to return with the Almanac returned to Elaina.
"[I don’t see any problems with the prediction of the Almanac but I decided to do so minor adjustnts and fixes to it to see if it might be part of the problem. It should be probably fixed now, how about you check now?]" the God of Farming asked.
Elaina nodded and opened the Almanac. With the rain seemingly not going to stop anyti soon, she flipped through the pages of the book and stop at the page she needed to look at.
"Uh... It still looks like it is not working well? It’s obviously raining so hard right now that the sky is dark. There is no sign the sun will co out anyti soon and yet the Almanac’s predictions remained sunny."
"[Okay... That is weird. The predictor might be predicting weather in advance but based it should have been displaying the normal weather with our any problems! It might be off at tis but it also ntions that there should be chances of rain or sunshine depending on the probabilities. It will not just put in inaccurate predictions without showing probabilities if the weather is not set to stone!]" The God of Farming is just not sure what is happening.
"As much as I want to agree, it seems there is indeed happening with the predictor. It says here with certainty that there is no chances for rain right now and a perfect weather to welco sumr and yet... It is raining and I think to be not an ideal sumr weather to welco the hot season!"
Hearing this, the God of Farming decided to take the Almanac again and this ti, not for just a little check up, it was ant the find the probblem and look for any additional things that might co up.
While waiting for the result, the almanac earned its new achievent again when it crashed a few tis on the rocks. This resulted in a few problems that even Elaina is not going to be able to fix.
"Now this isn’t going to be a unique experience but this alone is enough to say that the modern climate is getting abnormal. It’s almost noon and yet the rain won’t let up. It continued to drop and I don’t even know what to say about it either."
And seemingly waiting for a chance, the God of Farming also inserted himself to the conversation without questioning who he was... Even if Elaina is not speaking to anyone either other than herself.
"[I have returned Elaina and reinstated the Almanac and you can access it again like normal. However, as for the problem with the weather predictor, I don’t think I can say with certain what it was but this ti around, I think I am correct that the predictor did not have any problema at all and it is still working as usual and working as usual like it should have been doing.]"
Elaina frowned hearing this.
"What do you an it is working as intended and it is not malfunctioning? It is clear as day that the weather is not a sunny one but a rainy one. Even I would not question that and a kid will even be able to answer that correctly but what do you an the predictor is doing fine?" Elaina couldn’t understand what is happening either.
"[I explained it before that the Predictor will tell you it’s predictions of the weather isn’t it? Even the sessions with uncertain weathers are even calculated with percentages where the certain weather has a chance of occurring in a certain percentage and although it was not always a set to stone weather, they do take up so chances and it was like betting which of the selections would win.]"
Elaina frowned.
"So? It has nothing of those when. I checked. It says that the weather should be perfect for welcoming sumr since it is going to be hot and the sun would be even possible to tan soone. And yet it is raining so hard that I don’t think it is a good way to welco sumr at all."
"[And that is what the problem is. I tried to see if it is currently spouting nonsense and predicting wrong however, I soon realized that was not the main case and also allowed
to slowly realized that the problem did not lie to the Almanac nor it lands on to your eyes either, Elaina. What you are seeing and what the predictor said that the weather was seems to be sothing else entirely.]"
"Then what are you saying? That the weather I am seeing is fake and the weather predictor is telling
the truth? That everything I have experienced was supposed to be not like this right? That the rain is sohow so sort of fake thing?"
"[You nailed it, Elaina. The real weather has been masked by sothing that seems to be mimicking the rain. Whatever it is, it seems it is doing so well that it covered the whole Darcero Empire’s map and it’s surroundings seas with rains.]"
"Isn’t that a bit dangerous? This is a fake rain after all. It would be one thing if this is a real rain then we won’t feel a bit worried but this is a fake rain. Will we get sick if we get soaked on it by chance?"
"[So far, it doesn’t seem to be like it. It’s main purpose was just to mask the sunny day as a regular rainy weather. Perhaps so magician don’t want to move on from spring yet and still needed to have a bit more ti and decided that he didn’t want the sumr heat to ruin whatever project was currently happening and decided to do sothing about it. Anyways, I won’t be too worried about it. In short, the Almanac is still functioning fine. But thanks to this fake weather, things have been skewed a bit and you are experiencing a rainy weather instead.]"
Elaina signed a bit of relief. She was a bit worried that this rain might be sowhat harmful but if it is masking only the regular weather because they didn’t wan’t sothing to be ruined by the sumr weather, the Elaina can tolerate it. She just hoped that whoever it is doing this, will soon be done with whatever he or she was doing. Even if it is for doing sothing he needed so extension, there are still others that will be having so proble with it.
...
...
...
But it seems that things will not be over in a flash. The next day, the rain continued to fall.
