Chapter 103: State of Luminiera Kingdom
The reports of the Darcero Kingdom banning anyone who ca from the Luminiera Kingdom caused massive discourse and outrage as news travels into the ears of the masses. Many people who live in the Luminiera Kingdom have relatives living in the Darcero Kingdom; so even hold a business there so after hearing the announcent of the ban, everyone is mad. Due to the ban, everyone started to riot and protest against the emperor about this matter trying to force them to do sothing about this and ask the Darcero Kingdom to lift it.
Of course, the main culprits of the incident didn’t survive the backlash either since they also learned the main reason why the ban was placed in the first place. The church didn’t get that much problem because it was quelled very fast but compared to the church, the business of Elaina’s parents started to tank as most rchants revolted due to losing a big chunk of their custors which is Darcero Kingdom’s citizens and other people living there.
Many people started to boycott the business practices of both and even rejected their products. As a result, so rchants who were against the principle of the two rchants decided to take action and take advantage of this unexpected opportunity that ca to them.
At first, it was a negligible hit but as days passed, things progressively got worse. It’s been 9 days since they returned from their attempt to bring back Elaina and force her to return to Luminiera Kingdom and due to the incident, their business is falling apart.
Victor slamd his hands to the table as he saw the daily sales report coming in.
"You tell
that everyone is no longer doing their part for the business and the villagers are now boycotting our products?! What kind of bullsh*try is this?"
The workers of the market are doing their best to mitigate the losses and ensure that the business won’t fall but things are looking grim. His wife decided to try and see for herself if she could use her skills to mitigate the problem and perhaps salvage it before it continued downhill.

As for the church, although the people who are still worshipping the church continue, there are a few people who have stopped coming and this was a disgrace for them. Not only that but their reputation was tainted after the incident. Due to the embarrassnt that happened in the Darcero Kingdom, the priest who had his hands severed by Elaina is getting sentenced to death for failing his job and also tainting the reputation of the church.
"No, no! I did my best! No, give
another chance. Don’t worry I will be able to get this new chance! Just heal my hands and we can do it again! Please, not this!" the priest begs his forr fellow priests who start to drag him to the floor and put him on the chopping block.
The worshippers were shocked to see this happening in front of them. Never in their life will they be seeing sothing like this before but it seems that it will be unavoidable.
"RESTRAIN THE SINNER AND PUT HIM THERE, AND LET THE GODS JUDGE HIS WORTH."
Before the priest can even do anything, the other priest shoves his head to the chopping block while he tries his best to persuade everyone, even to the point of using his amputated arms to beg for rcy.
"NO! PLEASE, JUST ONE MORE CHANCE IS ALL I NEEDED!"
As he was begging for another chance to redeem himself, chains started to bind his body and even his amputated arms, stopping his movent completely. He is still shouting when all of a sudden, a golden light falls and before the screaming priest can comprehend, his screams are cut off as they pass through his neck and liquefy his head before it even splashes the blood that cos from it.
The people who were watching were surprised and were a bit terrified by the death of the priest. It was all so sudden and even though it was not a bloody one, it still killed the priest in question seeing that happen before their eyes who had not experienced or seen a live execution before was not sothing they expected.
"The gods have delivered their judgnt to the sinner. And for that, we shall always rember that defying the gods’ laws and orders would result in the gods’ judgnt being delivered. So follow the rules and do not engage in any sort of illegal practices that the church teaches you not to do. And in case of pregnant won being pregnant with twins, surrender them imdiately and we will deliver them to their fates as they cannot proceed to continue living and bring this world to ruins. Rember the prophecy!" the archbishop, the one who is currently holding the mass raises his hand, rallying the people of the church.
Despite their initial shock, the people followed suit and scread with all their hearts to cheer as well. They don’t want to die after all. As for the Archbishop, he smiled as he ordered the other priests to dispose of the dead body of the priest who was killed earlier into the bonfire on the altar.
"Now, we offer the body of the sinner to the altar in hopes that the gods will appease us for this little transgression! As for the one who bears the twins, she might be currently staying in another kingdom but we will deliver the judgnt to them for disobeying and openly defying the teachings of the church."
Perhaps on the outside, those who are not familiar with the religion the church is teaching will think that these people are so kind of open cult that is legally doing things. But for the people of the Luminiera Kingdom, the church itself is their moral compass and guidance. Therefore, everything that would disobey the rules of the church, shall never be tolerated.
While the church is continuously preaching, one hooded person clicks his tongue and shakes his head while listening to the preaches and the events that transpired earlier.
"What a load of bull. To normal people, those ways of execution might look like divine judgnt or sothing but to those trained in magic, they should have known that it was a basic Vanishing Light Blade combined with the Chains of the Divine to restrain the prisoner. But now that I have seen this and finally confird the rumors, I think I know where Julia is currently staying."
He smiled before shaking his head. "Just you wait for my disciple. I will be giving you so harsh punishnt for ditching your master and leaving
wondering where you are. That ban on Darcero won’t be working on . Do you think you are that clever huh?"
Walking out of the church, he slowly disappears into the light and left as if he weren’t there to begin with.

Things aren’t so good in the castle either. After learning about the incident and receiving the news of the ban on entry, is also the ti that Alfred finally gets the piece of news that he is waiting for, the entire ti. The location of his wife, Elaina.
But just like what happened, due to the ban, the situation is not going well and Alfred who is so ready to head to Darcero Kingdom is trying his best to communicate and appeal to the Royal Family of Darcero Kingdom to lift the ban.
"What do you an the appeal was rejected?" Alfred furiously looked at the ssenger of the ssage.
"Sir, I am just relaying the ssage, and based on what I have seen, it seems they are in the middle of preparing so festival so they don’t want to get contacted by anyone for a while as they will be quite busy and they will not be able to respond to any kind of appeal like this for quite a while."
"Are you kidding ?! Aren’t they afraid that I would wage war against the Darcero Kingdom for doing this?" Alfred stood up angrily.
"They already know and yet they wanted to reinforce the rule. And they don’t want to make exceptions as well even if you are a royalty or not. Due to the incident of one of the citizens of Luminiera Kingdom forcefully trying to kidnap a citizen of Darcero and force her to return is against their laws and to prevent more things like that from happening, this rule was added as a result."
"But the person that was being forced to return is the empress of Luminiera Kingdom!"
"And that is the thing. Since she applied and beca a citizen there, she has officially beca a citizen of Darcero Kingdom and her status as a resident that lives in Luminiera Kingdom has now been voided as a result."
Alfred grits his teeth. As much as he wanted to argue to the ssenger, things won’t change. And despite threatening to go to war, he doesn’t want to drag innocent people like this just so he can bring his wife back.
"Alright. I shall halt doing this for a month. However, once the month is over, I will appeal again to them to lift the ban. I will not stop until Elaina returns ho, back into my arms again."
Alfred is determined. If this thod does not work, he will find a way.
