Chapter 283: Classes
"Subclasses are a little different, and can be changed or improved upon reaching a specific milestone of so kind, but that’s not what you’re here for is it?" Morrigan touched lightly upon Subclasses, but she was right, that’s not what I was here for.
"You’re her to seek advice for what class you should take, aren’t you?" She was able to hit the nail perfectly.
"Yes, I’m here to ask you what you believe would be the best Class for
to take." I reaffird.
"Well, that’s a tough question, because once you have a main Class, as I ntioned, you won’t be able to ever change it for the rest of your life. Are you sure you want to get one now?"
"Oh no, I’m not thinking of actually getting one now, I just wanted to know so that when the ti ca, I could make the right decision."
"Mmm, I see. Well, do you have an idea of what you want it to include, broadly speaking?" She probed lightly, pushing
to think for myself.
"That’s the thing, I don’t know what to choose, or even what options are available to ." This was my dilemma. I had nothing to go off of and no knowledge of what exactly is available.
Morrigan sighed as she got up and ca round to pat
on the shoulder.
"Look, I know that you’re worried about making the wrong decision and all, but stop worrying, you’ll know when the ti cos."
"But how will I know when the ti cos?"
"You just will, trust . It was the sa for . The longer you wait and the more patient you are, the better. Being hasty will cause you to make a decision you’ll regret for the rest of your life." Morrigan advised in a calm and sophisticated manner, like a sage passing on his wisdom to an orphan.
Thanks to her words, I was able to calm down and think more rationally.
"Thank you for your advice. But I still have so reservations. Like, what if I never manage to find out what it is?" Despite her kindness, there was still sothing knowing away in the back of my mind about this whole matter.
Morrigan sighed once more as she spoke once again and reiterated, "As I already said, you needn’t worry, when the ti cos for you to obtain your Class, you’ll know, you just have to wait."
"And before you say anything else, I just want to say this. You have an impressive heritage, so much more than anyone could ever ask for. You don’t necessarily need to hyper fixate on this. I think, when the ti cos, your Class will co to you, instead of you trying to find it."
When she finished saying her piece, she went back behind her desk and sat down, waiting for my response.
"Thank you, again, for you help. I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you for everything you’ve done for ."
"Oh, no need to thank . I’m just trying my best to keep a good rapport with you, and in turn, your father. That’s mainly why we’re doing this, to keep him on our good side."
"Well, I appreciate the transparency. And thank you again for taking the ti to talk to
about this." I bowed to Morrigan as I thanked her once more.
"Please, I just said there’s no need to thank ." She humbly responded.
Deciding not to push this out any longer, I just nodded at her, to which she nodded back, and then promptly left.
Fortunately for , the crazy and obsessive woman from earlier was nowhere to be found, not even outside the academy’s entrance.
After that conversation, I still felt like there was sothing off in regards to my Class, I could feel it, gnawing away at
in the back of my mind.
It wasn’t intense, and so long as I ignored and forgot about it, I would be fine. But it was there, constantly. And I felt like it was going to remain there forever, or at least until I got a Class.
But, as Morrigan advised, I wasn’t going to do anything rash and just wait for the mont to co.
As for what that mont was? I’ll just have to wait and see.

Another week and a bit soon passed and it was now Ignorath week, and we were on a school break, which most others were grateful for as they were getting a little sick of so much school.
So this was a nice break for them before they had to go back next week.
But for , this was boring. I had plans to go out with my friends, but that was only for two of the eleven days this week. Specifically, on Terravyn and Aquoril.
The four of us spent both days hanging out. The first we spent at the arena that I didn’t break, watching so matches between so brawlers.
No one died because that would be a huge loss to all parties, and nobody wanted to see death like this for now reason, so the rules dictated no death.
It was still a fun show to watch and everyone enjoyed it, cheering for their favourite fighter.
The next day we spent the day hanging out in a little fair ground that was set up in the park, with food, snack, minigas and prizes galore.
We played nearly all of the gas, winning so by pure luck, so by skill, and losing the rest. We didn’t let that get to us though, as we all had tons of fun either way.
Also, I wasn’t the one to pay for everything for once, David actually paid for everything. Apparently, it was his company that set this place up, so he got a discount on all purchases, plus he’d been saving up a lot, he had a hundred gold saved up.
Not a lot compared to what I have, but it’s still a decent amount of money for soone like him to have earned.
Regardless of all that, the four of us had a very fun ti those couple of days. But after that, none of us had any real plans
Fortunately, that gave
so ti to go back to the inheritance for a bit and explore it so more.
Now that I have a map of where in the city they have their private gates, I can use them to get back there, and so long as I let everyone know that I’ll be going away for a little bit, which I have, then I can go without worry.
Which is what I’m doing now.
I was currently in the academy, which I’m allowed to do on school days, even when there’s no actual school. It’s mainly only the library along with a couple of other facilities for those who want to study even over the break, which wasn’t many people.
None of that mattered to
though as I only co here to go to one of the secret spots to access the Illuminati’s gates.
I soon found one in a hidden corner of the library, which is so sneakily hidden, that you would only find it by knowing it’s there.
Once I was in front of it, I just held my ring up to the pedestal that was in front of it, hoping that this would work.
The book that Morrigan gave
said that for this specific gate, I needed to insert sothing that linked back to the Illuminati’s main headquarters. I only had my ring, so hopefully it worked.
Soon enough, a small blue light started to glow within the gateway itself as it humd to life.
I didn’t have to worry about it making too much noise as this area was soundproofed, as was the entire library in general, so all was good.
And after a few minutes of waiting, the gateway finally opened up with a swirling blue light.
I slithered into the portal and just like last ti, I felt like I was floating in the air and falling at the sa ti as I felt my surroundings distort.
That was until a bright white light filled my senses to the point where I had to close my eyes. And when I opened them again, I found myself inside the portal room of my inheritance, not in so random room within the halls of the Illuminati.
’Oh, neat. Don’t have to wander their halls for hours then.’ I thought, as I know that I would’ve one hundred percent gotten lost in there.
But now that I was here, it was finally ti to peruse my inheritance once again.
I was going to start by browsing the treasury again, but this ti, instead of just going straight back ho to Krara city afterwards, I was going to go and take a look at the other section of my inheritance that I didn’t take a look at last ti.
That being the many, many Class rooms.
