Chapter 187: Lia’s Sister
I shook my head and asked, "What do you an by ’Thanks for this by the way?’ What’s that supposed to an?"
"Oh, right. I should probably explain myself. Haha! Na’s Varia! Nice to et you Traytora!" She greeted with a smile and a cheery, uncaring attitude.
I get up and stared warily at her. "How do you know my na?"
"Oh, shit. Forgot that you wouldn’t know about . Uuhhh... I guess I should start from the beginning then?"
"S-Sister? How do you know who this is? Wh-What’s going on?" Lia asked, just as confused as I was, if not more so.
"Shit, right. Guess I need to start from the beginning of my life then huh?"
She then began her story.
"My story starts at my birth. I was born with great intelligence and Clairvoyance, a power that lets
see into the future, and I saw that if I did nothing, I would just beco another martyr for the gods. I wasn’t going to let that happen, so my future self worked to give
the ability to hide that, by sealing my powers and intelligence until I was eight years old, when it would be safe for
to have them again."
"So using the technique that I would learn in the future, I managed to hide my abilities and abnormal intelligence. My hair however, was a whole other problem, but our parents sorted it out for us. By dying my hair whenever I needed it."
"Everything went smoothly for the next few years, then, a few months after I turned six years old, mother got pregnant again and when I was around seven, I had a little sister." Varia smiled lovingly at Lia when she said that.
"You were born with the sa sky-blue hair you have now, and unlike , there was no way for them to hide it as they had already spent lots of money on the dye for , and they couldn’t afford to waste it on her." She explained with a bitter smile.
Lia then started to cry and apologise to Varia, "I’m sorry... For causing trouble..."
"Ah! It’s not your fault Lia!" Varia said in an attempt to calm her sister down. "Mainly because... You’re not supposed to exist..."
Lia stopped crying due to the shock of that statent, and I had a similar reaction. Not supposed to exist? What the hell was that supposed to an?
"What does that an?" Lia asked fearful of the implications of what her sister just said.
"Well... In my original vision using Clairvoyance, you didn’t exist, even when I followed the sa steps to keep myself safe, you never appeared in that vision, nor any others. And that ans that there was so divine intervention that influenced your birth to happen. And my Clairvoyance cannot detect divine intervention unless I were to be sponsored by a divine will." Varia explained.
And then Lia suddenly burst out in hysterical laughter.
"Ahahahah... Hahahaha! AHAAHHAA! How much of my life has been determined by the gods? How much of my life has been dictated by them? AHAHAHHAAHAHA!"
"Lia..." It seed that despite being older, she was still incapable of handling this situation, especially since it involved the gods...
Varia and I lowered our heads as Lia’s laughter got more hysterical, to the point that she might faint from laughing too much. If only there was a way to be able to get Varia a sponsor of so kind...
’Wait a second! My father can be that sponsor! He counts as a divine entity by a technicality! Surely that’ll be enough to help, and to boot, he’s one of the seven princes of hell, I’m sure that will be a big help!’
"Varia." I called out to the woman.
"Huh? What is it?"
"What if I can get you a sponsor? Soone that isn’t a god."
"But... who would you get? Who do you know who would be willing to sponsor ?" She questioned.
’Does she not know? I guess that makes sense, father would want to remain hidden from prying eyes, so unless I reveal it, he probably wouldn’t say anything.’
"I can get my father to sponsor you. Don’t worry, he’ll do anything for ."
Varia just looked at
in confusion. It also appeared that Lia had stopped crying when she heard what I said. I’m not sure why exactly but it was good either way.
"Who’s your father?" Varia asked in extre befuddlent.
"Well, he’s soone that you might not want to sponsor you, so I understand if you wish to decline." I said with a hint of sorrow. They looked confused but waited for
to speak further, knowing that they would understand once I had told them who my father was.
The two of them looked at
expectantly, waiting for my answer, so I took a deep breath and said, "My father is Asmodeus, the Prince of Lust."
The two of them flinched back, stunned upon hearing that revelation. And then Varia started to go wild.
"Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! HOLY SHIT! Are you SERIOUS!?! THE Prince of Lust himself?!?! Holy shit!"
I looked at Varia in bewildernt at her reaction, and I could see that Lia found it strange too. Why was she acting so... Ecstatic?
"Sis... You’re scaring ..." Lia said in an attempt to make her sister calm down, and it worked.
Varia sat down once again and started to control herself by using a breathing technique of so sort.
"Okay, I’m calm now." She said with a straight face...
Not. "OKAY I’M NOT CALM!!! How am I supposed to stay calm after hearing that?!?! Your father is the most powerful demon in all Hells next to their respective rulers!!! I’m sorry I- I need..." Her eyes rolled back into her head and she fainted from overstimulation just from the information alone.
"Varia!" Lia scread as she rushed to her sisters’ side and caught her before she could crash into the floor.

So ti later, Varia woke up and was actually able to calm down.
"Sorry about that. I’m just... Wow... I can’t believe that your father is a true demon, and it’s a Prince of Hell no less." She said whilst rubbing her head in disbelief.
"Sister..."
"Ah, sorry about my earlier display Lia, I didn’t an to make you worry. But seriously. Wow. I can’t believe that your father is Asmodeus himself. I’m a huge fan!"
"Uhh... Thanks? I’m not sure how to respond to that." I responded with a bit of an uneasy tone. "Anyways... You want to be sponsored by him?"
"DO I???" She shouted with imnse excitent, evident by the literal sparkles in her eyes as she leaned her face right into mine.
I gently pushed her away and said, "Yeah, he should be willing to do it for . That way, you get his protection, and the power to gaze into the divine with your Clairvoyance."
She looked at
with an almost scary fervour and asked, "When do we start?"
