"But you’ll be in a lot of danger. Still, it’s not unreasonable."
Light waited for a few seconds when he heard this sentence and then stroked his sister’s hair with his right hand.
"You’re not wrong, but we don’t just have each other, sis. Lawrence, Pacifica, Aurora, Leonard, Duke, Kyle, and perhaps more in the future, we will eventually move up a huge echelon. Courage is what I need the most, even though I’m scared. I am going to make sure you survive."
Light’s words touched not only Petunia but also Lawrence and Pacifica who were listening to them from behind the door.
Apart from Petunia, not many people knew exactly what Light’s reason for taking on so much responsibility was. Even Lawrence knew very little, even though he had been by Light and Petunia’s side all his life.
"So you’re going to put yourself in danger anyway, aren’t you?" Light smiled when his sister voiced this question and then replied, "I an, didn’t I swear that I would always protect you? Let protect everyone, not just you...of course, protecting you is at the centre of everything."
These words surprised even Light himself. He didn’t know how long he had been so brave and outgoing, it didn’t make sense that he could have beco so brave with a few actions he had experienced outside.
Nevertheless, despite all this, he knew how to accept everything. The fact that he knew the truth more than anyone else in this house and accepted the truth much better made everything worse.
The world was not all rosy, especially in these dark tis.
Maybe that was the reason why he was working even harder, revenge and the thought of protecting the most important person in his life...his big sister who sacrificed everything for her little brother.
After all, the possibility that a single wrong move could jeopardise not only him but everyone was in a situation that would put the responsibility for everything on him.
It would be the right responsibility.
"Alright then, I had nothing to do anyway, I’ll offer you the best I can, go and rest, you’ll co when I call you." Petunia said suddenly and stood up and stretched her waist, then turned to Light, "Of course not today, it’s sothing that will take a lot of ti, five days maximum, but you get the idea." and walked towards her desk to design.
It was as if this job was completed, now it was just a matter of waiting.

"So how are they?"
When Petunia uttered these words, Light’s eyes were locked on what her sister had prepared. He kept looking at the mask and the clothes and kept looking back at his sister. Of course, he knew that his sister was talented, but weren’t these clothes too threatening?
In fact, the clothes were quite simple, what was troubleso and what made them threatening were different things.
On the left was a plague mask on the table. The mask of the dark ssenger of the dark tis, a mask from the ti when doctors were labelled murderers.
"You will help people as a rchant, but you will show them that nothing is free. We are in the middle of the apocalypse and who knows, maybe tens of thousands die every day, so you will look like an angel to them, but none of them will realise that you are the only devil among them."
Petunia’s words made Light take two steps back, it would not be wrong to say that she was afraid of her sister.
"Sis...you’re scaring ." Light suddenly saw the smile on his sister’s face and cald down a little.
"So these are the facts. You said you wanted to be a rchant, that you had to be nacing, and I presented you with perhaps the most horrible mask that has ever existed. Of course, the doctors did what they could, but the fact that most of these things are horrible cannot be denied by anyone. Perhaps they could have sought a definitive cure, but they chose to burn the whole thing to the ground, didn’t they?"
Petunia’s words were very, very true. In the age of the black plague, people were killed and burned, the plague tried to change the whole system, people accused of witchcraft were executed alive, and many other things existed in the dark history, and most of them were not even carried out by the church.
He thought this choice was the right one, as Light would be considered strange but would look threatening.
He trusted his sister’s judgent as she was a very good designer, and it would be a situation that would be brutal to the brutal society outside and show that he was not afraid of them.
"As for the outfit, it’s a series of clothes that will make you as eye-catching as possible, but in an awkward way. I’ve prepared a few simple outfits, as I think you’ll be wearing military clothing underneath and on top."
Petunia started to speak and lifted the first piece of the outfit and handed it to Light:
"It’s a garnt that won’t lt on the snow, so we can say that those ’high-tech’ fabrics you bought for worked. Of course, it’s hard not to laugh considering that you were ripped off by these fabrics."
"Sis....."
"Okay, okay. However, a hooded, raincoat-like top, when you close the front, has a look that emphasises the plague mask. How you use it is up to you. I also made the symbol of your choice on the back of this raincoat-like garnt."
With these words, Petunia showed the back of the garnt to Light, and Light smiled when he saw this.
"It’s exactly what I wanted, sister." said Light as he suddenly looked at the back of the outfit and just smiled.
Light wanted to form an opposing group to the group with the eagle symbol, that’s why he chose one of the enemies of the eagle, one of the leaders of the heavens. The flying scavengers.
Perhaps the "eagle" group was not bad, indeed that was a possibility but in the end, Light wanted to show the people that he was a crow that would protect what he owned and would eat everything that he was against.
An apex predator.
"I don’t understand why you chose the crow symbol, but I must say that it is better than I expected. The fact that the mask represents the bird’s beak and is jet-black makes it very morable. Good thinking, Light."
After Petunia’s words, Light just smiled and nodded, thinking that everything was ready.
Still, just going out alone made everything stressful. Even if he was a rchant, the fact that one wrong move could put him in danger was daunting.
Despite all this, he was very clear that this was what he had to do. If he wanted to create a strong region, if he wanted to create a place that would protect his current family and his future group, he had to be brave.
Great courage was the only thing Light lacked, and he was very close to it.
