Zuri couldn't understand why she had been seeing things that she shouldn't. She really needed to get her dicine.

She started to lose grip over what was real and what was not...

The next day, she asked Khaos if it was alright for her to return to the Blackthorne pack house because there were a few things that she wanted to take with her and Khaos sent Gayle to accompany her.

She didn't tell him the reason for her sudden outburst and thankfully, Khaos didn't prod further about it. She was glad that he was being understanding, or probably he simply didn't care. Everything was a ss in her head. She didn't know what to believe anymore.

"Logan is the Alpha of the pack now," Gayle inford her as he followed her through the front gates of the pack house. "He made a deal with the King to avoid receiving the death sentence. He spilled all of their plans and also the secrets he knew about Alpha Xaden and his contact with the Great Lunar kingdom."

That was the leverage Logan had used to save his life. After that, he pledged his loyalty to the king and was granted the title of the alpha.

"Apparently, I am not the only traitor," Zuri said flatly. There was no humor in her voice.

Gayle silently observed Zuri, because he had a strong feeling that she would one day beco the luna of their pack, given how much attention the alpha paid to her. Though in his mind, the alpha could have soone better.

He saw her outburst yesterday and was convinced that she still felt sothing for her late mate and probably regretted her decision.

Moreover, the most important thing was the fact that she could turn her back against her forr pack, her current pack, her own mate and also her parents. Despite her information being very valuable for them to vanquish the coup, it was scary to know what she was capable of doing.

If she could do that to them, she could do the sa thing to their alpha and Khaos... he held so many dark secrets that would ruin their lifelong planning if they were all leaked out before ti.

In short, it was dangerous to have soone like Zuri around their alpha. She was not soone that could be perceived as loyal.

"Good morning..." Logan greeted them when they entered the pack house, he had been inford about this visit. "I don't know how to address you because right now, I believe you are no longer the Luna of the pack."

His voice carried a hint of passive aggressiveness. He was still upset, mad even, about Zuri's role in the failure of the coup that killed a lot of people in the process and jeopardized everything.

"You don't need to address with anything, I only need to go to my bedroom." Zuri didn't change her expression at all, she was unfazed in the face of the hatred that Logan exuded and Gayle smirked to see her fierceness.

Logan glanced at Gayle and then stepped aside. He knew Gayle was one of Khaos' warriors, and given whatever relationship Zuri had with Khaos, she was not soone he could ss with, especially since the alpha personally sent his man to escort her.

"You don't need to co with , I know where my room is," Zuri said when Logan tried to follow her. The forr beta stopped and watched her leave.

Gayle snickered, but he was told the sa thing when he was about to enter the bedroom with her.

"You stay here." Zuri then closed the door behind her and the warrior furrowed his brows. He was not happy that he too got the receiving end of her fierceness.

Inside the bedroom, Zuri swiftly rummaged through her belongings. Everything was still the sa, thankfully, Logan had not yet asked soone to clean this room. Since he was the alpha now, this room would also be his.

Zuri looked for her dicine and found the small bottle of pills. There were only five left, which ant she needed to replenish it soon. She had to make a trip to the healer as soon as possible, before Khaos learned about her illness.

'Oh, dear, he will learn about it. I always told you to take your dicine, right?'

Zuri turned around and this ti, the voices in her head had manifested into her mother. She saw her in her favorite blue dress. A mocking smile graced her lips.

'What makes you think that he will not leave you once he learns that you are crazy.'

"No, he will not find out." Zuri's hand was shaking when she tried to take out the pills from the bottle. This ti, she took two at a ti. She wanted her to be gone.

She couldn't believe she would prefer those voices to continue screaming in her head to her craziness escalating and making her see people she didn't want to see anymore.

"No. You are not real." Zuri shook her head, she was hyperventilating, as she swallowed the two pills. "You were dead! You are not real!"

Gayle knocked on the door when he heard Zuri yelling at soone. "Are you alright, Luna?" He tried to listen again, but only silence t him. "Are you there?" He knocked again, but this ti, the door swung open and he almost fell on Zuri, but she stepped aside nimbly and then walked out of the room swiftly.

"Let's go, we need to leave."

"I heard you talking to soone." Gayle was confused. Zuri looked a little bit pale, even her forehead was glistening with sweat.

"I didn't talk to anyone."

Gayle was sure he heard her talking, but he dropped the subject. "Did you get what you need?"

"Yes."

However, Gayle couldn't see anything with her. It didn't seem like she brought anything out

of the room with her.

Both of them then left the pack house and Zuri swore she never wanted to step inside this pack house again.
