( anwhile, out in the garden... Bloodfang territories)

She ran.

Oh, she ran.

But Kieran was already coming faster than her worst nightmare.

One blink later, the Alpha was gone.

In his place was a midnight beast.

Enormous. His eyes burned molten gold, and his claws dug furrows into the manicured lawn of Alpha Velor, as he bolted into the night, leaving only a shredded formal wear behind.

He had hit the stone steps at full speed and ripped free of his clothes mid leap, muscles exploding into a better shape as his bones cracked and twisted, fur bursting from skin like wildfire.

Unmistakably, the pursued was fast.

Too fast.

A flash of silver fur ahead and she had shifted as well. Clever. A smaller wolf, built for evasion, darting between hedges and statues in a dizzying pattern. But technically advanced. Not a mundane rogue.

Every turn was a feint, every straight path a trap. She looped back, zigzagged, doubled over her own trail like a ghost.

"You really think you can outrun , bitch? You have a fucking death wish???" Kieran snarled, voice rough with the growl of his wolf.

She always thought she was clever. Her scent looped in half moons, doubling back in a pattern that would have confused lesser wolves.

But it was child’s play for Kieran. He was the one who had taught her those tricks.

The trees parted for him and if it didn’t, he tore through it.

Branches whipped his sides. Blood streaked his flanks.

Didn’t matter.

She leapt a narrow ravine, scrambled over a rock face, dove through a briar patch.

She didn’t care about the pain either. Not anymore.

Because behind her, death was coming.

And it wasn’t silent.

Kieran roared as he gave chase. The sound rattled through the place like a war drum. The kind of sound that made even the night creatures go still.

She tried to lose him in the high trees. Darted left. Then vaulted into the canopy, claws scrambling up bark, hoping to confuse him with elevation.

But she forgot who she was dealing with... maybe.

Kieran followed like a damn demon.

He scaled the sa trunk. The splintered bark exploded under his claws as he launched after her...more branches cracked, leaves rained down as he closed the distance.

She dropped to the ground and ran again, panting hard, her paws stumbling now. She was bleeding. From the side. From her hind leg.

Good!!!

Kieran tasted that blood in the air and let it fuel him.He rejoiced in her fear!

His mind blurred. Not with confusion but with clarity sharpened by hate. This vixen had caused a lot of pain... not once... not twice... but he had overlooked it all...but tonight... her being there... it could simply an...

Every second. Every breath. Every fucking heartbeat was focused on one thing:

She burst into a clearing.

Dead end.

Too late to pivot.

He feigned left, then cut right, muscles coiling before he slamd into a full sprint. The distance between them vanished in seconds.

She twisted at the last mont..."Shit!"...but he was already there.

Kieran launched...like a teor...all muscle and wrath.

She barely spun before he slamd into her, both wolves crashing into the dirt with a guttural snarl that shattered the silence.

She yelped...panicked, defeated... Scared for her fucking life.

But Kieran wasn’t done.

He bit down...hard !Not to kill, not yet.His jaws snapped shut just shy of her throat, teeth grazing fur as his body checked her into the dirt.

She rolled, kicking up soil and leaves, but he was on her before she could right herself. One massive paw pinned her down, claws pricking skin. She shifted, desperate...her human form twisting from fur to flesh with a gasp. Her arms trembled, cheeks streaked with blood and dirt. One eye was swollen shut. She tried to speak.

" Alpha... please... "

He shifted too, looming over her.His face wild and feral, chest rising with furious breaths.

She coughed. "Alpha Kieran..." She flinched beneath him, trying to crawl back, but he grabbed her by the jaw...squeezed just enough to keep her eyes on him.

His pupils were slits.

His teeth stained red.

"You thought I wouldn’t find you?"

She whimpered. "I didn’t an to...Alpha.."

"You touched what’s mine. You ran before I could tear you apart."

He slamd her back against the dirt, hot breath at her ear.

"You should have stayed hidden, Vera. You should have fucking died when you had the chance."

Vera’s breath ca in ragged gasps, her pulse fluttering like a trapped bird beneath Kieran’s grip. His fingers dug into her jaw, forcing her to et his gaze...those deadly molten gold eyes, now blackened with fury.

" I... I didn’t want to run... Alpha!Believe ...I would have... Dax forced to... "

A slap smacked her head backwards, making blood drip from her mouth and nose.

" How dare you say Dax’s na with that filthy mouth... My Beta is one of the fiercest warriors on these planes but sohow, whenever it ca to you, he beca the stupidest. I know he let you go... Oh! I surely know! And I know about your mate bond as well... "

Vera gasped, crawling back a few inches.

" Oh! Surprised? You didn’t think I would know... Did you?!!! " Kieran bared his tainted canines, snapped at the air that made Vera cower in fear... tearing up... whimpering harder. " You hid the fact that you were mated to Dax while I fucked you, yeah??? You desperate bitch! And that stupid guy stayed mum... endured everything... And when I found out, he stopped from punishing you! I thought you would learn... I let him have his doubts but damn!!! "

Kieran lifted a boulder off its base...so big it would crush Vera and her entire existence in seconds. But he didn’t hurl! " I was willing to overlook what you had done to my Beta... but bitch, you dared to co after my mate??? My mate???...." Kieran took one slow step towards her, a rumble building under his chest! "WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GET THAT AUDACITY? "

It wasn’t a roar... it was thunder from the seventh heaven!!!
