287 Ch. 287 Jamie Arc (part 1) The Past
The helicopter landed in a small village with very few inhabitants. Anxia and the others got down and were greeted by the rest of the Cerberus team.
i Yin t her mother, who had now woken up from fainting, and the two hugged tightly. “I thought I would lose you. Are you alright?” asked i Yin with tears in her eyes because she was so relieved to see that her mother was still alive.
Jamie shook her head and moved her hand to say, ‘I would never leave you here alone.’
i Yin laughed upon hearing that. “Mom, there is soone I’d like you to et.” i Yin glanced at Xue Min and stretched her hand toward the young man.
Xue Min smiled gently, took the girl’s hand, and officially t her lover’s mother. Seeing this scene, Anxia and Elliot smiled with emotion and were happy for the three of them.
It’s just… where’s Richard?
Anxia glanced through the black-clad Cerberus mbers for her husband. Unfortunately, none of them had the posture of her husband, making Anxia let out a disappointed sigh.
“Miss ?”
Anxia gasped when she heard a seductive whisper next to her ear and turned around, only to find a super duper annoying smile there. Surprisingly, she wasn’t annoyed and even wanted to laugh at her husband’s distinctive smile.

“Pa!” Elliot cried with unstoppable joy to finally see his father’s face again.
Richard embraced his son and kissed the little boy’s face with the sa joy.
“From now on, I will not let you go.”
Elliot grinned widely and hugged his father’s neck while hiding his face in the crook of his father’s neck. He felt too amazed and happy. Elliot never expected that one day he would be free from the bonds that held him down on the island—he had never imagined that he would live with his birth parents. He could not bear his happiness that he could not asure until tears gathered in his eyes.
Is this what is called tears of joy?
Elliot’s embrace around Richard’s neck tightened even more, making Richard also tighten his embrace and not stop kissing his son.
Anxia stroked Elliot’s back, looking at her husband with awe and love.
“I miss you,” Anxia said in a soft voice.
“I miss you more,” Richard replied as he opened one of his arms to embrace his wife along with their son.
Anxia only realized that now Richard was not wearing all black or a mask or other sophisticated equipnt. That ant that Richard had appeared here as her husband and Elliot’s father at this mont.
Richard deliberately did not wear the Cerberus costu because he still wanted to hide his identity as a Cerberus. Even if i Yin or Xue Min were suspicious of him, he also didn’t care. All Richard cares about right now is getting his family back, and he feels complete when his wife and children are in his arms. Of course, if Lori were here with them, Richard would feel even more complete.
Anxia withdrew first while glancing at Jamie’s group, who now smiled at her. Then Anxia glanced at her husband as if she wanted to say sothing.

Anxia smiled broadly and briefly kissed her husband’s cheek before walking toward Jamie’s group.
Jamie opened her arms wide towards her, and reflexively, Anxia rushed into the arms of the kind woman.
Even though Jamie wasn’t her mother, sohow, Anxia felt like her mother was hugging her. It felt warm and peaceful… just like the one she rembered when her mother embraced her in her sleep.
“Jamie, I know you know my mom. Do you mind if I want to know what happened to my mother?”
i Yin and Xue Min looked at each other at Anxia’s unusual question.
Why did Anxia ask what happened to Loraine Shu when the girl had seen how the police arrested her?
Jamie smiled gently and then used sign language to ask i Yin for help.
“You want to translate it? Of course, I will.”
Then, Jamie began to tell how she t the real Loraine Shu.

In a massive estate in one of the cities in China, two teenage girls have fun planting flowers in the backyard.
“Jamie, don’t plant roses. We’ll get hurt trying to pick them.” the girl complained, preventing Jamie’s hand from sprinkling rose seeds.
Jamie, who couldn’t speak since birth, started moving her hands to express her opinion to the girl.
‘Roses are prettier than cereus. Besides, why do you have to pick flowers?’
“To be used as decoration in my room. Don’t all flowers have to be picked for decoration?”
Jamie sighed as she shook her head at her friend’s stubbornness.
“Loraine, Loraine, where are you?” a voice called Jamie’s friend from inside the house.
“I’m here!!” Loraine shouted so loudly that Jamie had to cover her ears.
Loraine Shu was the daughter of the leader of the largest mafia group in China and competed with the triads of the Luen group. Even though the two organizations were competing against each other, neither one dared to trigger a war because they knew both sides would suffer heavy losses if they battled.
In the end, both sides agreed not to interfere with each other and not to establish a cooperative relationship.
Deke Shu had two children whom he loved very much. The first child was Lawrence Shu, and the second was Loraine Shu, born six years after her brother.
Born as the son of a mobster, Lawrence was adventurous and arrogant wherever he was. But only when he t his younger sister did he only show his best side.
On the contrary, Loraine did not have a mother because her mother had died when she gave birth, and she only had Jamie’s mother as a mother figure.
In contrast to troublemaker-lover Lawrence, Loraine had a soft heart and was protective of those around her.
“Brother, you’re ho!” exclaid Loraine enthusiastically as she approached her brother, who had just returned from abroad because of a mission given by their father.
“Of course. I brought you a present from Sydney and put it in your room.”

Lawrence looked at his sister gently, but when his eyes landed on the wordless Jamie, they turned into sothing dangerous, filled with almost unstoppable lust.
Jamie swallowed fearfully and lowered her head silently.
