Chapter 238 – I won’t be able to write anymore!
A few more days passed, and the people still hadn't left the front of the gate.
During those days, I kept working on my version of Roo and Juliet and had made considerable progress.
I had already reached the middle of the first book.
The first volu was planned to be 400 pages long, and I had written 200 pages so far.
Even though I had co a long way, those first 200 pages were essentially just the introduction. I'm planning to turn this story into four or five books in total.
It all depends on the pace of the story.
"Luan, I can't take this anymore!" Hestia suddenly opened the door. "Please, make all these people leave! You said they would give up, but it's been more than ten days!"
"..." I looked at her and sighed. "And how am I supposed to do that? These past days, I've already asked them to leave several tis. They go away, but then they co right back."
"I don't know! Try telling them you'll die if they don't stop showing up! Oh, I've got it—tell them you'll stop writing if they don't leave! Tell them you haven't been able to write because of them!"

Saying all the noise is making it hard for
to work might actually be a good strategy.
"Alright, I'll go talk to them again. Are Mikoto and Lili downstairs?"
"Lili isn't back from work yet. Mikoto is downstairs—I was having tea with her, but we were both going crazy! Not even ten liters of tea could calm us down with all that shouting outside!"
"Okay, okay." I put away the pages I had written and took a pen with . Hestia and I went down the stairs together, then I stepped outside. Hestia stayed by the door while I walked to the gate.
When they saw , everyone started shouting.
Then, I spoke.
"Be quiet and listen to !"
Everyone instantly fell silent.
"I don't want to be rude, but I can't take this anymore! All this noise at my front door is driving
crazy! It's gotten so bad that I can't write anything anymore!"
I held up the pen I had brought with .
"Look at this! The pen is full of ink—completely full! Since you all started gathering outside my house, I haven't been able to write a single page! I'm already behind schedule—I need to release the next volu of Re: Zero soon!"
The people looked at
with wide, panicked eyes.
Then I shouted:
"Please, stop coming to my house or I'll have to stop writing! Even if I moved away, I'm sure people would find my new place and start bothering
again! That's why I'm warning you now—please, stop this!"
A murmur spread through the crowd.
"What if he really stops writing because of us?"
"We'd better leave."
"I'm so sorry!"
"We're sorry, Luan—we didn't know we were disturbing you this much!"
People started talking among themselves, gradually apologizing and stepping away from the gate. When I saw that it had worked, I let out a relieved sigh and looked back.
Hestia was standing at the door, giving
a big smile and a thumbs-up.
I smiled and gave her a thumbs-up in return.

I went back inside and resud writing. After a few more hours, it was ti for dinner. Hestia and Mikoto took care of preparing the al. Hestia ca into my room just as I was finishing getting dressed.
"Dinner is ready."
"I'm coming."
"..." Hestia lingered in the room, watching
as I buttoned my shirt.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Can you already buy that thing?"
"The generator?"
I opened my status window to check. I was getting close to 30,000 points. Just over two thousand left to go.
"I'm almost there. Why?"
"If you want… we could do it tonight."
"Sure, no problem."
"But just the two of us! I don't want the other two involved!"
"Alright, hahaha." I laughed, then walked over to Hestia. I gently held her chin and kissed her. "We're going to have a lot of fun tonight."
Hestia's cheeks turned red, and we headed downstairs together.
I sat down to eat, but just as I did, we heard soone yelling outside.
"You've got to be kidding !" Hestia shouted, clearly irritated.
Mikoto and Lili both sighed at the sa ti, visibly annoyed.
I also let out a sigh and stood up. "I'll go check it out."
"No! If you go out there, they'll never leave!" Hestia protested.
So I walked to the window and pulled the curtain aside. I looked outside and saw three people at the gate. Three very familiar people. I smiled and stepped outside.
"Luan!" Hestia called after
and followed, but she stopped at the door.
I looked back and said,
"I'll be right back—just going to talk to them for a few minutes."
Tsk!
I heard Hestia click her tongue and laughed at her reaction.
When I reached the gate, Ais had a smile on her face, and Tiona and Tione looked very excited.
"Good evening," I said as I opened the gate.
"Good evening, Luan. Can we co in?" Ais asked.
"Of course, of course. I'm having dinner with Hestia, Mikoto, and Lili, but you're welco to join us if you'd like."
"Oh…" Ais looked a little disappointed.
"What is it?"
"We were actually going to invite you to have dinner with us at the Hostess of Fertility. We didn't know you were already eating."
I hadn't eaten yet, but I didn't want to leave Hestia and the others alone at the table.
"Can we do it another day?" I asked.
Ais gave a sweet smile and said, "No problem. Co on, Tiona, Tione."
"You ca all the way here just to invite ?"
"Yes, that's right."
"I see. Have a great dinner, then."
The three of them walked away, and I closed the gate behind them.
I thought they might have co for sothing else—maybe about my new book.
I went back inside and sat down at the table. I explained to Hestia what they wanted, and she was really happy that I had turned down their invitation.
After we finished eating, I returned to my room with Hestia and wrote a bit more before going to bed.
Hestia helped
while I was writing. I shared so parts of the story with her and asked for her opinion.
She ended up helping
more than I expected.
I'll have to reward her properly.
