October 10, Thursday, cloudy with rain.
Early in the morning, Xiaoqi got up and heard the pitter-patter sound of rain hitting the windows outside, tapping on the windows. The trees in the playground downstairs were soaked from the rain and looked lush green.
It seed that this was the first rain since coming to ng City.
She opened the window a little and wind rushed in imdiately, unusually cold. The temperature had dropped a lot in just one day.
It looked like she couldn't go for her usual morning run.
After washing up, Xiaoqi practiced calligraphy, and after finishing that, she started listening to English speeches, Japanese lessons, and Korean lessons. Morning ti spent learning foreign languages felt highly effective and impressions were deep.
Only the last two classes in the morning were scheduled today, Applied Statistics.
It was still raining outside, making her quite sleepy.
Her roommates had all woken up late.
Xiaoqi simply changed into pants, a long sleeve T-shirt, an overcoat on top, little boots, full of autumn feels.
She was planning to go out to eat.
Wei Cheng also woke up and went with Xiaoqi. Wei Cheng wore a n's jacket, her brother's old one. Anyway, she was tall and wearing n's clothes suited her.
The two held an umbrella, a big black one that belonged to Xiaoqi, prepared for her by her aunt, and it was the first ti using it.
Raindrops hit the umbrella with a pitter patter sound, adding to the ambience. However Xiaoqi regretted wearing little boots, although the sole was thick, the leather probably shouldn't get wet. If she had known, she would have worn a random pair of canvas shoes that she wouldn't feel bad getting wet.
The two went to the cafeteria together to eat breakfast, then packed takeout for Honey and Yunshu after eating. Wei Cheng carried them as they headed back to the dorm, giving her umbrella to Wei Cheng while Xiaoqi went straight to class.
There were no early classes but the lights in the classroom were already turned on when Xiaoqi pushed the door open.
And under the lamplight was a shining youth...truly shining bright.
It was classmate Li Weijin, wearing a flashy silver jacket which looked unexpectedly harmonious on him. His hair was a bit wet, rarely looking adorable.
"Morning," although she was a bit surprised that young master would co so early, Xiaoqi still greeted. After all, he had been at the finishing line waiting for her at the last marathon and even sent her back to school. Otherwise she would have been exhausted then, with Jiajia and Captain Lu Chao of the long distance running club, not knowing what to do.
"Morning," Li Weijin was elated inside. He had checked to see that although there were no classes, monitor Su Xiaoqi usually ca to self study in the mornings. And as expected she had co, plus there was no one else right now.
But outwardly, Li Weijin still had on a cool and serious expression,
sitting in Chu Yu's seat behind Xiaoqi, also diagonally behind her.
After exchanging greetings, Xiaoqi sat in her own seat and flipped open her textbook, preparing to review what was coming up: Applied Statistics.
This course was very useful but not simple either.
Xiaoqi who had started learning had high efficiency and soon the flashy young master was thrown to the back of her mind.
But Li Weijin was annoyed at himself. He had deliberately co so early but it wasn't to watch her study from afar, although watching her study was pleasant too. But she didn't even glance his way right? At least if they could sit together to study it would be good too.
It's not easy for soone pursuing a girl.
Asking them out to als, movies and such seems to flow naturally for others. Classmate Su Xiaoqi was simply an impenetrable fortress.
He had joined the Chinese painting and calligraphy club for her, since his calligraphy was actually pretty good from practice. But classmate Su Xiaoqi's calligraphy was even better than so guests and experts...
He had joined the long distance running club for her. His athletic ability was great too after spending the whole sumr break on the treadmill. But classmate Su Xiaoqi completely defied common sense, she had actually broken the national marathon record...
And finding out she worked part ti at a ranch, he wanted to show off his superior horse riding skills, since being able to ride was quite attractive. But classmate Su Xiaoqi's equestrian skills were through the roof. She sat on the horse looking cooler than his tears could embody...
Wanting to flaunt his wealth, he discovered that his allowance now probably couldn't compare to hers.
Completely overtaken without anywhere to complain.
Even studying, he was half baked. If he could actually study properly he wouldn't need to be in Enhua's preparatory class.
His family kept urging him to study abroad, which he previously didn't care much about. Going abroad or staying local was the sa to him before.
But now he felt going abroad was boring. What would he do abroad by himself without friends or people he knows?
Why was chasing after a girl so difficult?
Li Weijin didn't know how many circles he had scribbled in his notebook.
Finally worked up his courage and walked to classmate Su Xiaoqi's side, holding up his assignnt book, and asked, "Monitor, how do you solve this question?"
He rembered this was how his deskmate had struck up a conversation with the girl in front of him back in 1st grade.
Xiaoqi: ......
She had just finished reviewing the content for Applied Statistics and was planning to take a break, maybe go over so English exam papers.
Seeing the Applied Statistics assignnt Li Weijin brought over, surely he didn't co early to do howork right? That's unlikely.
"Which question don't you understand?" Xiaoqi asked.
Then seeing Li Weijin standing by her side, bending over due to his tall height, his entire shadow seed to envelope her, making her very uncomfortable. She moved to Honey's seat beside and gestured for Li Weijin to sit down.
Li Weijin sat down in secret excitent but also sighed internally. He had learned his first grade deskmate's trick and it could actually be used!
The Applied Statistics assignnt was just review questions after each chapter. It should be solvable after carefully listening in class. But for these types of classes, you had to listen carefully right from the start. Missing one class would leave you completely foggy.
Xiaoqi who had experience tutoring, explained three thods to Li Weijin for the question he asked. One was directly from the textbook. Another was from the teacher's lecture notes. And the third was even simpler and more direct, but required previewing content from later chapters to know about it.
The problem Li Weijin asked was one he roughly grasped himself. He could solve it but just wanted an excuse to ask a question, otherwise it would seem like he was really dumb.
But after being taught three solution thods, he still couldn't help feeling he was really dumb...
After asking the question, he felt too embarrassed to keep sitting there and went back to his own seat.
Thinking to himself, sothing didn't seem right. He rembered his first grade deskmate had just kept sitting there and didn't get up at all.
More classmates gradually stread into the classroom by now.
Seeing Li Weijin still there, most were quite surprised. Their flashy young master actually ca for self study ti, surely he wasn't that bored right!
Xiaoqi continued reviewing English exam papers.
After finishing one set, she previewed content for her Japanese night class.
Ti flew. Looking up again, the classroom seats were filled up. Her deskmate Honey had also livened up after a nice rest.
On her way here, Honey had even posted on her Mont. After flexibly adding their assistant Li Ming who had co to pick them up yesterday on WeChat, her friend circle continued expanding.

From her dorm to classroom, along the way this Mont post had already reached max likes, piles of comnts that she didn't even have ti to read through, phone dinging nonstop.
Yet at this mont, chanical sound effects were also chiming incessantly in Xiaoqi's mind: "Host appeared as interviewee on TV show, Host has received 1 Jealousy value, rewarded with 1 Must Truth card, effective on any person for 24 hours, host may ask 3 questions, please use with discretion."
A bright yellow card now appeared on screen - Must Truth.
