Chapter 28: Value To Society (2)

POV: Blaze Kennings

'Why has life always been so unfair? What have my family, or I done to deserve such things happening? Now I must suffer alone in this world with my last light being snuffed out.' A whirlpool of emotions was screaming inside of my body while I was looking down at my mother's dead body.

I didn't even know what to do, I rely sat and held her within my arms. I tried to position my head in a way so that my tears wouldn't distdurb her slumber.

The area around simply did not matter anymore and the only vision I had was her in my eyes. She was my mother, soone who went beyond the word of love. Words couldn't describe the weight she had in my life.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I scread at the top of my lungs, tears were streaming down my while anger was starting to take control.

The ones who killed my mother are only a couple of feet away from , rely standing their talking to each other like nothing happened.

'What's stopping from killing them?'

The law? Our court systems are so backwards and hypocritical to such an extent that sohow, I'd be in the wrong for getting revenge.

'Unless..... a human has talent. Rather people know it or not have value to their lives. The question is where am I in that spectrum.'

It seed I didn't want to wait an answer because I decided they were all going to die.

I laid my mother's body down as gently as I could then proceeded to stand up and let my mana and Ki run wild. Both energy forms react to emotions if they aren't controlled and right now, they are screaming to be released.

I was livid beyond belief, I knew I didn't stand much of a chance since they have guns, but that won't stop from trying.

My eyes locked on to the masked man who fired the gun at my mother, his life was a priority to be taken. I also noticed more gang mbers showed up with all of them looking at , but that simply did not matter.

I noticed two of them raising their guns at with one of them being my mother's murderer.

I instantly reacted with using all of my Ki and shifting it towards my legs to close the distance at a rapid pace, but a mountain of energy was thrown onto .

My body crashed into the ground and I could barely move my body. It was like a boulder was on top of , I used all the force I had to move my head up and saw that all the gang mbers were in the sa condition.

"LET GO NOW! THEY ALL DESERVE TO DIE! THEY DON'T NEED TO LIVE JUST LET KILL THEM PLEASE!" I scread out with my voice filled with nothing but rage.

I didn't even know who this person was or even if they were on my side, but that simply didn't matter. My ntal state was too far gone.

"You want to kill them huh? Hold on just a second then." A man with a deep and cold voice that was terrifying to listen to spoke out. When I heard this man's voice the first thought that popped up in my head was.

'RUN'

I waited a few seconds to hear the answer to my plea. The gang mbers were still implanted into the ground and not voicing out a word making think he might have killed them already.

"Okay you can kill the one who shot your mother, but that's the only one. The rest will be going to jail. Make it quick...."

The pressure was released and I imdiately darted over to the man who took the last light out of my life. It took no more than a second to reach him, I grabbed him by his hair and slowly raised his head.

I ripped off the stupid mask he wore and looked at his regular brown eyes, the man had a normal face and looked absolutely terrified.

I used my other hand and grabbed a hold of his entire face. I used fire magic to incinerate his entire face. Flas engulfed the man's face and was making its way down his entire body.

No sound was made from the man, only ashes were left behind. I let my flas run rampant, hoping they'd kill every gang mber laying here.

They were defenseless after all; this was my best opportunity to make sure all of them got what they deserved.

"All of you are going to fucking die, did you really think you'd make it out of here alive?" I said while looking at each individual.

"Oi" A voice entered my left ear making shoot my head over to see the man who might end up taking my own life.

What t my eyes shook to my very core.

Never in my life have I seen soone with such horrific scaring. A pair of lifeless grey eyes was eting my own, yet it felt like they were looking right through , observing my every emotion.

On top of that, the supposed mystery man was just a teenager, he looked only 2 or 3 years older than .

"You better put out those flas or I'm going to beat the living shit out of you. Am I making myself clear?"

"....No, they need to die, if you want to stop from killing them....Kill yourself." I stood my ground firmly; I wasn't going to listen to so random teen. It was my lack of courage and strength that lead to this, I'm not letting another opportunity slip through my damn hands.

The teen raised his left hand and stopped the raging flas in a millisecond. I was so confused on how he managed to do that without using water magic that I didn't see the fist coming straight towards my face.

It landed directly on my nose and followed through with an astounding amount of impact, which sent flying backwards.

I skidded across the ground like a rock being thrown against the water. After a couple of feet, I managed to stop myself and slowly get my bearings.

I felt the force of a train hit my stomach which made spit out saliva and a little bit of blood. My head ca down on its own and I could see a kneecap was on my stomach.

"Although you have the energy levels of a prodigy, your skill level in using them is awful. If those guys weren't held down by my aura, you would have died just like your mother...."

"You fucking bast.." Before I could finish my sentence, my head was slamd into the ground once again.

"To weak.... This is what you are. You have so much talent which people would die for, yet here you are not using it like a dumbass. Tell , how many people have you let down in your short lifeti?"
