Chapter 400: Do you know what your son has been doing behind your back?
Deng Yi's whole body was sweating when he saw Lu Chen sitting at the seat of the CEO. Past mories ca back during his final years at school.
One school day, when Deng Yi left the school, a couple of guys captured him and brought him to an alleyway! They beat him to the ground, black and blue.
While Deng Yi was on the ground, confused about why he got beat up, he saw sobody's foot.
"Pick his head up." The cold voice said, and one of the guys grabbed Deng Yi's head to look at Lu Chen. His cold voice resounds throughout the alleyway, "If I ever see you near my Fei Fei and again, I'll beat you and ring you out every single ti."
Those were the only words Lu Chen had for him before he got knocked out. And till this day, Deng Yi still felt fear towards Lu Chen. But when he graduated, he felt relieved.
Deng Yi thought he escaped him, but boy was he wrong. Deng Haoren looks at his son with shock, wondering what is going on with him. But Lu Chen smiles,
"It's been a while, hasn't it, senior?"
Deng Yi wanted to say sothing. But his voice isn't coming out.
His words just ca out in mumbles. The amount of fear Lu Chen etched into his body was enormous. Even after a few years of not seeing him, he still can't look at him.
"Now, Mr. Deng. Shall we discuss our deal with each other?" Ignoring Deng Yi's collapse, Lu Chen focuses on his business.
Hearing that, Deng Haoren nods to this as well. However, he still wonders what's going on with his son. But knowing how his son is usually, this was nothing.
"CEO Lu, instead of the plan that I told secretary Duan about before. I propose a new one." As Deng Haoren discusses the plan with Lu Chen, Lu Chen has a calm expression as he nods.
'This plan is benefitting us more now.' At first, when Lu Chen saw the first plan, the benefits were more towards Deng Haoren's company. But this new one will benefit the two evenly.
"Since I won't be able to manage this collaboration, I want my son to be the one to lead this." If Deng Yi led this project, Deng Haoren thought it would give him a good connection and experience.
Deng Yi stretches out his hand, "It's going to be a pleasure working with you." Regaining his composure, Deng Yi makes a smug smile. He realizes Lu Chen can't attack him anymore. This isn't the school. And their companies are doing business with each other. Thinking all of this in his head, Deng Yi becos more confident.
And a great thing about this is he can have his fun with those female workers and Duan Huiling.
Expecting Lu Chen would shake his hand, he continues to have his hand out. But Lu Chen never reached his hand towards him. He continues to sit there, making Deng Yi look like a fool. Lu Chen looks over to Deng Haoren,
"Mr. Deng. I am willing to work with you as your character is just and fair." Seeing Deng Haoren changing the deal to make it more reasonable to ARCS shows how fair he was.
"But I cannot and will not work with you if Deng Yi becos the one leading this." Lu Chen's voice was frank and kurt.
Deng Haoren's face becos pale again, "Is there sothing wrong with my son? He's sobody that has potential. I know he can do well if-'' Before he can finish his sentence, Lu Chen puts his hand up to silence him.
"I'm not worried about whether Deng Yi has potential or not. I can easily take care of it by myself. What I'm questioning is his character."
When Lu Chen said that, Deng Yi slamd his hand onto the table and got up, "The hell do you an, Lu Chen?! Do you think you can say everything, and I won't do anything about it!"
"Sit down."
"Wha-"
"Sit your ass down." The cold and deathlike voice coming out of Lu Chen's mouth made Deng Yi unable to stand up. The fear ca back and made his leg turn into jelly.
Seeing him sit down like a dog, Lu Chen turns back to Deng Haoren, "Do you know what your son has been doing behind your back?"
