Chapter 258: Hiring
Cao Wei almost beca a thorn to his side if he didn't take him out. Lu Chen wasn't going to let a relative of his stay in his company.
"Already on it." Duan Huiling didn't need Lu Chen to say anything as she called the police. She always hated Cao He as he leers at her from ti to ti. The only reason she couldn't do a thing is due to Cao Wei.
Duan Huiling moves beside the woman, blocking Cao He's line of sight of her.
"Who do you think you are firing ?!" The alcohol in Cao He's body left his system. This incident is amusing to him. 'I'll just tell uncle to fire this fool!'
"Do you think that old geezer can help you out? Go ask him outside the building." Lu Chen smiles as he puts Cao He in an arm hold, "Also, who do you think you are? You just assaulted a lady out in the open. That's more than enough for you to go to jail."
"Get off of !" Cao He tries to move out of Lu Chen's hold, but Lu Chen wouldn't budge. 'Why is he so strong?!' With how much Lu Chen has been training, dealing with a drunk man like him is such a breeze.
Before Lu Chen could put the hold tighter, the security guards ca to detain Cao He. Like his relative, Cao He left with resistance. But Lu Chen didn't look at him anymore.
He checks back with the lady, "Sorry about what happened. I know this won't be able to make up for what happened, but take the next few days off." It wouldn't be enough, but that was the only thing he could do.
The woman shakes her head, "No, you don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong." Hearing his kind gesture was enough. However, she's surprised that Lu Chen could make such decisions.
'Is he a new board mber? But he's so young and handso!' A million thoughts go through her head, wondering who the background of this mysterious person.
Lu Chen didn't say any more to the other people as he left the departnt.
"Which departnt do you want to go to next?"
"No. Let's go back to the office." He didn't need to examine the other departnts. Lu Chen asks her, "Duan Huiling, how many people were hired because they have connections with board mbers?"
Never did he expect such a person would be in charge of a whole departnt. Only sobody with a few screws loose will let him have control.
"There are many. A lot of them have been hired, while a good amount of competent workers were fired." Her anger couldn't be kept in as so of the workers fired were her friends.
Duan Huiling apologizes, "I'm sorry for my tone."
Lu Chen smiles, "Don't worry about it. Hearing your tone shows how much you value the company." However, Lu Chen turns serious,
"Then I want you to fire all the people that were hired like that." Lu Chen wasn't going to have any of them stay here any longer.
Despite her previous tone, Duan Huiling disagrees, "CEO, I don't think that would be a wise choice. Even if we fire all these people, we'll only have 20% of our workforce left."Even if she didn't like most of them, a few hired people knew how to work.
'Hmm, She's right. There should be so competent ones.' Lu Chen apologizes, "Sorry about the rash decision. However, I would rather have fewer people still.
I want you to take a few people you trust and fire the useless people. Also, if possible, hire back so of the employees you think are hard working. "
"I understand."With Lu Chen accepting his faults, Duan Huiling looks at Lu Chen in a better light. Realizing your mistakes allows you to grow from them.
"Also, make sure the people you hire first are for the PR departnt. We are going to need their help to make a big statent as quickly as possible."
The PR departnt is sothing Lu Chen needed to be proper. He planned to make the company's image better using their help. But with it being nonexistent, his plans are going much slower now.
"Yes, sir." Before Duan Huiling, Lu Chen adds one last thing,
"Lastly, I want to let you know that I have sobody I want to hire as an idol."
