Chapter 257: Checking the other departnts
"The only thing that matters now are results. And from the company's track record, there aren't any results." So what if the board mbers are older than him? It didn't matter.
Lu Chen continues, "Just look at how long you guys have been here. Did you guys change the company?"
"..."
"Well, you guys did change it. You turn it into a joke instead. And you still want sobody inside the company to take control? Pathetic."
The more Lu Chen talked, the more the board mbers couldn't say a thing to him. Even though they didn't like Lu Chen, what he said is true.
"I'm going to say this once, so listen clearly. I'm not here to make friends or suck up to anybody. You either follow or leave. I'll give you your paychecks for this month, and then you're on your own."
Lu Chen didn't have the patience for defiant people.
When Lu Chen said that, so of the board mbers stood up and left the room.
So loved the easygoing lifestyle that they had. While so left because they didn't want to follow under a dictatorship.
With the board mbers leaving, only a tenth of the mbers stayed behind.
"Ok, now let's get to work this ti." Lu Chen starts the board eting with what remains. He talks about what he wanted for the company and the future.
Despite his young age, the rest of the board mbers didn't treat him like a child. The way he talked and what he wanted made them realize that Lu Chen is no joke.
The board eting only took a few minutes, but the board mbers left with a new outlook.
After they left, Lu Chen said to Duan Huiling, "I want to examine the company. I need to see what I'm working with."
He wants to see the working environnt. The workers are the ones who make up the company, and he wants to see what he needs to fix.
"Which departnt do you want to go to, CEO?" Duan Huiling knew that all departnts had a lot of problems despite her support.
"Let's go to the PR departnt first." Duan Huiling nods as she leads Lu Chen to the PR departnt.
They only need to take the elevator down two floors. When they were going to go inside, they heard shouting,
"Co on, Don't you want to have a higher position in this departnt?"
"Please let go!"
Both of them can hear the sounds coming from the departnt. Lu Chen didn't need anybody to say anything. He kicks the door open.
What he saw was a middle-aged man harassing a young woman.
"Hey, brat! What are you doing opening the door so loudly! Can't you see that I'm doing sothing here!" Judging by how red his face was, Lu Chen could tell that he was drunk.
Lu Chen didn't respond to him. Instead, he pushes him away from the woman and checks on her, "Are you hurt?"
The lady has so scratches over her arms, and her dress is a bit torn, but she shakes her head. She quickly said, "Please leave! If you get caught by the director, he'll make your life a living hell!"
Lu Chen didn't listen. He takes off his suit and places it around the woman's shoulder.
Hearing what the lady said, the drunk man snarls, "Even if you leave now, nothing is going to change!" Lu Chen is his target the mont he touches him.
Duan Huiling shouts at him, "How dare you talk to him like that! Know your place!"
"Shut up, Duan Huiling! I can easily get you fired. Did you forget my uncle is a board mber? " The drunk man, Cao He, is the nephew of Cao Wei. With Cao Wei's influence, he brought up Cao He as the director of the PR departnt.
"Now get out of the way, brat! I'm dealing with this cutie over-" Before Cao He could finish his sentence, Lu Chen punched his face.
Cao He falls over to the desk and snarls, "What the hell is wrong with you! I can get your ass fired!"
"I don't give a damn who you are. You're ssing with my company, and I'm taking out the trash!" Turning to Duan Huiling, "Call the police and tell them to take him away!"
