Chapter 106: The Real Plan

For the next few days, Lu Wan diligently ca to the school. Even the teachers were astonished to see Lu Wan attend the school as they knew how hard it was to convince him to co.

Only Ye Jiao knew that Lu Wan rely put on a fa??ade while he was actually busy making new formulas to test at ho. The two of them still practiced occasionally, but Lu Wan would be busy making new poison again after a spar. It seed that the boy was determined to do his hobby no matter what.

In school, Lu Wan would do nothing but listing out the experint he hadn't done. At tis, he would approach Wei Cheng and provoke the other party, making their relationship worse. On the other hand, Ye Jiao listened to the class and used the chance to interact with Mu Xin as much as possible.

With that, their days passed quietly.

"You look sleepy again, Senior Brother Lu," Ye Jiao remarked on their way back.

Lu Wan yawned. "I didn't manage to find the correct composition for the new poison and that annoying Wei Cheng just have to bother

at this ti."

Not long ago, the two of them clashed again because Wei Cheng wanted to flaunt his new position in the military. Lu Wan didn't care about that and he was in a bad mood because he failed to find the solution, making his speech extrely harsh.

"I wonder if Wei Cheng will find trouble for you."

"If he did, it'll be for the best," Lu Wan leaned on the chair. "It'll make things easier for ."

"What do you an?"

Lu Wan didn't bother answering as he fell asleep. As he was with Ye Jiao, he knew that the girl would surely help him out, so he could relax without any care.

'If you're tired, you should just sleep from a long ti ago, Senior Brother Lu!'

Ye Jiao stayed silent as the carriage returned to Lu Family Residence. It didn't take long for Lu Wan to lock himself up in his room to do his experint. On the other hand, Ye Jiao strolled in the garden as she digested the new poison Lu Wan gave to her. By circulating her Eon Energy, she made her body get used to it.

"First Young Master!"

The sudden exclaim startled Ye Jiao as she turned her head to look at the entrance of the quarter. From there, she could see a young man walking inside. His scholarly disposition was apparent from his stance. He has black hair with countenance that was similar to Lu Wan albeit much mature.

It didn't take long for her to recognize him as Lu Su, Lu Wan's older brother.

"First Young Master," Ye Jiao bowed down and hid her face.

Even though the servants called the two of them 'Young Master' in normal tis, they changed it when the two of them were together. As Lu Su was older, he beca 'First Young Master' while Lu Wan was 'Second Young Master.'

Lu Su looked around. "Where's Lu Wan."

"Replying to First Young Master, Second Young Master is in his room," Ye Jiao answered in an unhurried manner.

"Call him."

"This servant understands."

Ye Jiao headed back into the room as she reviewed her answer to Lu Su. Did she pass as a servant in his eyes? She didn't act suspiciously, right?

"Young Master Lu Wan," Ye Jiao knocked the door.

Hearing his junior sister, Lu Wan stopped what he was doing. If it was any other servant, he would not hesitate to throw another tantrum as he hated being disturbed when he was working. "What is it, Xiao'er?"

"First Young Master is here and he asks to et with you."

"I got it," Lu Wan opened the door and strode to the courtyard while Ye Jiao followed behind him docilely. He reached the courtyard pretty quick as he could see his older brother standing there.

"Lu Wan," Lu Su greeted first. "I can see that you're doing well."

Lu Wan crossed his arm. "Cut off your nonsense and say your point. Why are you coming here?"

"I heard from the teacher's report that you and Wei Cheng have a large clash today. Not long after that, Wei Cheng plans on issuing a formal challenge to you. Have you heard any of this, my little brother?" Lu Su's tone didn't change, but there was a hint of danger beneath his peaceful speech.

Hearing his question, Lu Wan sneered. "Isn't it just a formal challenge, if he wants it, he can co to

anyti."

On the back, Ye Jiao felt like face palming. Even though she hadn't heard much from her senior brother, she knew very well that formal challenge. It was the type of challenge that represented their family in a life and death arena. The stake was their family honor and those who lost might even forfeit their lives.

It was such an important arena that no one dared to flaunt lightly.

"Lu Wan, what did you provoke Wei Cheng with?"

"Who knows?"

The two brothers glared at one another. Neither side was willing to back down as they just looked straight at each other's eyes. Lu Wan never cared for the family's honor. As for the challenge, he knew very well that he could win with ease without the need to worry so much.

On the other hand, Lu Su always placed the family's honor before everything else. He couldn't accept the half-hearted answer from Lu Wan.

"Father gives you instruction to stay in your quarter until the matter is resolved. He didn't want to hear any sudden challenge from Wei Cheng and you again. Do you understand?"

"Tch, that annoying man," Lu Wan clicked his tongue. "Tell him that I'm going on another closed door training. Don't bother

until I get out."

Lu Su stared at his younger brother's eyes. "Is that so?"

"I don't care what other people say, but I want my peaceful training session," Lu Wan spread his hand. "is it that hard?"

It took Lu Su several seconds before he answered carefully. "Not at all. May you have good luck in your training, Lu Wan."

"Your concern is unneeded."

The two of them looked at one another for a mont before Lu Su walked away. On the back, Ye Jiao did nothing but listened to their bout as her mind was thinking of many things.
