Aegon never bothered with people insulting him, but there was a limit. You wouldn’t intentionally kill an ant, but if it bites you, then matters beco different.

Gabriel was like that ant for him.

He didn’t care about her insulting him, as it seed to be her personality. But if he let her go without doing anything, then she would think he was a pushover.

Especially since this was being broadcasted. Once people saw that he could be stepped on and walked over, they would gain confidence and do it themselves.

House Augustus and House Valeria had way too many enemies, so him showing weakness was sothing they had been waiting for a long ti.

Best to solve it before it beca a problem.

’Sorry, old man. But I don’t care if she is your granddaughter.’

However, he didn’t attack instantly as he wanted to see her abilities first. His eyes told him she had a 5-Star Mana Pool boosted to 6-Star with so Artefacts. That alone put her far above him, so he was curious about her skills too.

In the next second, his instincts tingled hard and he kicked backwards without a second of thinking. Right then, a small flaming bird circled his previous position before exploding loudly.

"Are you not immune to flas?" Gabriel asked, taking a step forward from her domain.

"What can I say? A person can be immune to sothing but not its effects," Aegon shrugged before dashing forward, as Gabriel hurled several flaming attacks at him.

Focusing everything on dodging alone, he tried to understand the flas as they gave him a weird feeling. A thought passed through his mind as he once again backed away to his turret.

"Phoenix?"

Gabriel’s eyes flashed with surprise as she said, "I didn’t think you’d recognise it so soon. Yes, they’re Phoenix flas. Why don’t we see if you’re immune to them?"

"I see where your confidence ca from," Aegon said, impressed. "A good counter."

"I think so too. So, co and face !" Gabriel declared, raising her staff high.

Aegon smiled, but didn’t move an inch from his position. He was honestly impressed with her, mostly because she was a good mage. The rate at which she attacked with such accuracy even while weakened showed her skills well.

Having affinity with Phoenix just boosted her talent to much greater heights.

’No wonder she is so arrogant and confident about her strength.’

Phoenix Flas were different than normal flas, as Phoenixes were creatures equal to the might of dragons. Their race had perished in the Great Doom War, but the concept of Phoenix remained in this world, so anyone could get affinity with it.

These flas didn’t target the physical body. Instead, they burned one’s soul, and unfortunately for Aegon, a Valerian was only immune to flas working on the material plane, not the higher plane of spirituality.

Their physical bodies were immune to flas, not their soul. So technically he would burn from the Phoenix Flas.

’A great choice. But you’re facing soone with a system, Princess.’

Aegon remained calm despite facing such a difficult situation. He just smiled and said, "A good idea, so why don’t we see whose flas are better?"

With that, he closed his eyes, then snapped them open as a black trail lit up the air before him, setting Gabriel’s gown’s edges ablaze in just a second.

Finally, sothing else other than arrogance showed on her face, as she panicked and tried to put out the flas but nothing worked. Her HP bar slowly trickled down just like the gown burning away.

Left with no choice, she cut her gown down below the knees and jumped back. Her gaze stayed fixed on the black flas devouring her leftover cloth.

Disbelief clearly written on her face showed her emotions. She turned to look at Aegon and asked, her voice carrying the sa shock, "Phoenix Flas?"

"Nah uh!" Aegon chuckled and replied. "Sothing much better."

Of course, they were his Eternal Flas which could burn down anything he targeted. And they would last until he gave the command to extinguish or until they had burnt away everything of their target.

Including souls.

So he wasn’t surprised Gabriel mistook them.

He wiped his right eye’s corner and said, "Shall we get serious? Our teammates are already fighting after all."

Far to his right, down the Gold Lane, a battle between four players had already begun. Xavier stayed a little behind Elara, throwing slowing spells at the enemies while healing Elara, who skewered the enemies with her moonlight arrows.

Unfortunately, her opponents this ti were of the sa rank as her. Worse, they had a tank.

She clicked her tongue, as the burly fat man once again took her damage on his shield. anwhile, the Marksman, a slender man with tanned arms, threw lightning bolts at them like arrows.

So hit her, but she was healed quickly too. The worst part about them was the shock they left behind in her body, slowing down her reaction speed sotis.

Just as she sidestepped to avoid a thick purple lightning bolt, she noticed the tank throwing an anchor tagged on a thick tal chain at her or rather at sothing behind her.

Elara wanted to warn Xavier, but things happened too fast and before she knew it, the anchor hooked Xavier and pulled him towards the Tank.

"Not that easy!" Elara muttered, her fingers pulling the strings as three arrows materialised on her bow.

But she didn’t shoot because she saw Xavier smiling. Hesitant all of a sudden, she waited as the tank pressed Xavier down, only for the Marksman to throw several lightning bolts at him.

In just a second, his body turned to particles but right before his death, Xavier cast a Rank 3 Spell, as a bright circle ford under his position, stunning everyone inside that circle.

’Heh! He’s been with Little Gon, so how can he not have his monts?’Elara smiled, releasing the three arrows as they hit both the Tank and the Marksman. "But this mont is mine."

As both of her enemies were once again stunned, Elara smiled and showed the world her masterful archery skills, raining down dozens of Moonlit Arrows in over a second.

With that, she had cleared the Gold Lane.
