Chapter 62: A party

Everyone was getting on the carriage leaving Barktown. Damian was upbeat, all things considered. Everyone was still getting used to Jasmine being there however.

Noah quickly got close to him and put his hand on his shoulder. "This is my brother Daniel. He’s the idiot you saved way back when." Daniel was wrapped in a headlock, looking like a fight was about to take place.

Pushing Noah off him, Daniel could finally speak. "Thank you sir. I don’t know how my brother could have coped with

dying. He’s truly too emotional for his own good."

Chase didn’t need to look at the look Noah was giving to know why he said that.

"More so, I promise to make it up to you one day. In your ti of need, call to

and I’ll answer."

It was a bit much, but when Daniel was giving him such a serious look, Chase could do nothing but respect it. He nodded. "I’ll keep that in mind."

With that, they got in their carriage and left.

And with that, Daryl stopped watching. "So crazy people they were." But had had other things to worry about now.

as he got ho, a young boy and girl could be seen. One was playing with his dog and riding it around the house, the girl had a bowl covering the top half of her head, using a wooden spoon as a sword.

"Well, Im gonna need backup." This might have been his toughest job yet.

Once everyone made it back to the guild, they went inside. Chase looked around, between the drunkards, the cloud of people huddled together for quest selection and the room he was going to have to rent out again, it was good to finally be back.

Looking over to Daphne, Chase went over to her. "Thank you for worrying about us. It ans a lot seeing as we aren’t the most seasoned or experienced adventurer’s."

Daphne had a smile plastered on her face but quickly shook her head, getting back on track.

"It’s really no issue, we gotta look out for ourselves. Especially the ones who are new."

She leaned closer. "Can I ask a favor of you however?"

Chase nodded "If it’s in my power, it’ll be done."

Daphne: "Whenever you get the chance, have your leader co my way. Recomnd taking

out to dinner."

At first Chase was confused. ’When did we have a leader?’ Then I ca to him. Who was the main person who spoke when it ca ti to take quests?

Chase looked to Donnie. He seed a bit disappointed for so reason. He’d have to ask about it later, but he knew just the way to cheer him up. Ace slowly began rubbing his hands together as a small smile ford on his face.

"That can most definitely be arranged."

Two hours later it was getting late in the night. Noah walked with everyone to the bar area.

"As promised, everyone’s drinks are on !!"

This quickly caused people in every part of the guild to begin walking closer in search of free drinks.

"The man was talking about his own team. Settle down!" Damian looked a little annoyed.

This didn’t bode well with everyone, small mockery was heard in whispers from the sa people.

Andrew: "Well let’s get to it then." Andrew too needed a drink after that.

everyone was handed drinks, courtesy of Vivian. Chase thanked her and then looked at Noah. Without saying anything, they both started chugging their drinks.

After one cup, they were both a little taken aback, But also both in the ga.

Chase shook his head. "Your not winning."

Noah: "we’ll see. Vivian, could you give us a refill?"

Within seconds the cups were back on the table. Chase saw Noah preparing himself and thought he should too. It was clear they both didn’t drink often.

’But that’s...HOW LOSERS THINK.’

Chase was a new man now. Sotis you gotta take that risk.

He brought the cup to his mouth fast and began chugging once more. After he was done he began shaking a bit.

Noah was a bit shocked. "You alright buddy? Don’t tell

two cups have already taken you out of the ga."

Andrew took notice that Noah’s cup was untouched. "How about you drink yours first?"

Damian: "As far as I’m concerned, Chase is still ahead. You gotta keep up blondie."

Noah took one more breath through the nose before chugging his down as well. He began holding onto the counter now. Chase was feeling a little fuzzy. "One more at least."

Andrew was using this as the perfect ti to pay for wine that was on the more expensive side, but he didn’t go too far, he wasn’t evil after all.

Damian was rooting for Chase, hyping him up.

"Co on brother. One more you’ll knock him out." Chase had on a confident smile.

Daniel took up for his brother. "No way you’d ever let him beat you right? After this next one it’s over, just hold out!" Noah began nodding his head confidently.

Before that however, Chase stood up.

Daniel pointed to him. "He’s forfeiting."

He walked over to Donny and put a hand over his shoulder. Donny turned to him. "What’s up?"

Chase had an evil smirk on his face. "An angel told

that the receptionist would love if you took her out soti in the near future."

Donny scoffed. "And who was this angel? How do you know it wasn’t a voice in your head?"

Chase: "The receptionist."

Donny: "I’ll definitely follow through with that.

But for tonight, beat out that blonde bastard in that drinking competition."

Chase nodded. "Will do."
