We continued walking for so ti, and everything we encountered on our path was nothing but monsters one after another. We didn’t et any other team, as if we were alone in this cursed place.

Aaron finally broke the silence in a complaining tone:

"Don’t you feel that sothing is strange? Quite so ti has passed, yet we haven’t encountered any team at all... isn’t that a bit suspicious?"

He was right.

It really did seem strange. It made no sense that we were facing this number of monsters without eting anyone else at all. We were supposed to et at least one team, but nothing of the sort happened. There was no logical explanation, and that made a sense of unease creep over .

Drak replied, full of arrogant sarcasm, raising his chin as if the whole world belonged to him:

"They must be hiding sowhere, trembling with fear. Or maybe they saw and ran away... no one can stand before my greatness."

Aaron’s expression tensed imdiately, and a mocking look appeared on his face before he replied sarcastically:

"Afraid of you? Will you... embarrass yourself in front of them? Honestly... if that happened, I’d pity them! Seeing soone act like that would truly scare anyone."

Drak’s face turned red with anger, and he shouted through gritted teeth:

"You one-eyed porcupine! Repeat what you just said, and I’ll make you regret it!"

Aaron laughed, unconcerned, replying with even more sarcasm:

"Don’t worry, I won’t repeat it... afraid you might... embarrass yourself.

Ah... looks like I said it again! Please... don’t do it, I’d die of fright if it really happened!"

I could feel Drak’s anger rising. He seed about to explode. He took a step forward, trying to control himself, but ultimately failed. He grabbed Aaron’s shirt and pulled him violently, raising his hand to strike him—

But an angry, cutting voice echoed in front of us:

"Are you doing this on purpose? Are you just trying to make angry? Because you’ve succeeded already."

Everyone froze in their places. The voice continued with a chilling tone:

"Stop what you are doing and focus on what we are doing. If you don’t, I will put you into illusion, where you will face your worst nightmares.

Now... be silent and let rest for a mont from your nonsense."

Aaron and Drak both swallowed hard and imdiately fell silent, staring ahead without a word.

I was watching what was happening in front of with no real feeling, lost in the depths of my thoughts, until I heard a quiet voice next to say:

"It seems they really hate each other, don’t they?"

I turned to the source of the voice in astonishnt.

Can it really talk?

I didn’t think it could.

I looked at Anzai, who was walking beside , and simply said:

"Maybe."

After that... silence fell upon us again.

In a place different from the Reion...

Baaam!

It exploded.

"Haah... this is the eleventh one indeed!"

Green blood splattered everywhere, and a trendous roar echoed throughout the area. He stood beside the bodies, calm and indifferent, his expression emotionless.

He placed his hand on his face, wiping the green blood off his skin, then sighed quietly:

"The sll is really disgusting... I’ll need a long bath after all this."

Then Zion slowly drew his sword from the corpse of the monster beneath him, preparing to move forward, but suddenly...

"Wow... Zion, you’re really amazing!"

A girl with eyes full of affection and admiration clung to him suddenly. A helpless expression appeared on Zion’s face as he tried to get rid of her, but all his attempts failed, and he was completely ignored.

"Please... let go!"

"That monster was terrifying and ugly to the point that I didn’t know what to do... what would have happened to if you weren’t here? Oh my god... I don’t even want to think about it."

Despite Zion’s repeated attempts to get rid of her, he couldn’t succeed. No matter what he did, she clung to him more and more, approaching with even greater force each ti.

"Your personality while fighting the monsters was incredible to the point that I was completely fascinated by you, oh my god... how can soone be both handso and strong at the sa ti? Oh my god!"

The girl’s na was Zoe Harman. From the mont she discovered Zion within her group, she never left his side. She was constantly attached to him. Every ti Zion killed a monster, she would scream and cheer for him continuously, as if she were looking at her favorite deity.

"What on hell’s earth is happening!"

Jina stood beside them, her mouth trembling in astonishnt. What was happening was unbelievable nonsense. Whatever Zion did, Zoe would rush to him and praise him endlessly. Whether he breathed, moved his hand slightly, or made any tiny movent, Zoe clung to him like a moving adhesive.

Jina couldn’t resist the scene. She quickly stepped between them and stood firmly, saying:

"Guys... don’t you feel that sothing is strange? We haven’t t any team for a while, and all we encounter are monsters!"

Zoe glared at her furiously, with a look that said without words: How dare you interfere at this critical mont? Do you want to die?

But Jina ignored her gaze and focused on Zion, who was lost in thought, until a voice echoed throughout the area:

[Five more minutes have passed without any team being eliminated, so monsters of level E will be added soon. We ask all teams to prepare. The monsters have been added.]

Everyone heard the voice in astonishnt, while Zion muttered in a low voice:

"There’s sothing really strange..."

Everyone heard the voice, and they were all astonished by the situation, before Zion muttered softly: "There’s sothing truly strange..."

...

Inside the monitoring room, George was standing, staring forward in heavy silence, when he heard a hesitant voice beside him. The young man spoke in a cautious tone:

"Excuse , sir, but I think that sothing abnormal is happening. No team has been eliminated for a long ti, and although a large number of students have been eliminated, no team has been eliminated completely until now. This is illogical... there must be sothing happening indeed. I believe it would be better to stop the test temporarily before sothing dangerous occurs."

George slowly turned his gaze toward the young man who was speaking.

The young man froze in his place, his body trembling for a mont under that cold stare. He felt a shiver run through his veins, as if George’s eyes were piercing straight through him to his very core.

After a brief mont, George turned his gaze away and said in a calm voice devoid of any emotion:

"Nothing will happen."

He paused briefly, then continued in the sa calm yet harsh tone:

"And even if sothing happens, we can intervene at the appropriate ti. Moreover, stopping the test does not serve our interests. Therefore, the test must continue, and it will not stop until all teams are eliminated and only one team remains."

A heavy silence followed before George added indifferently:

"The worst that can happen... is rely the death of so students. And that ans they were not qualified from the beginning to fight demons. The death of students during a re test proves that they are of no use. We can dispose of them without hesitation. We do not need trash."

The young man swallowed hard, then slowly nodded his head, trying to hide his unease. He turned his gaze forward once again and did not utter another word.
