"Hahahahaha."
On the ground, Saya climbed up and laughed excitedly. "Black Crow, do you feel it? This is my ability, hahaha."
"My flas are not only powerful but can also heal injuries and absorb the physical energy of the burned target for my own use," Saya hissed, a crazed smile on his face. "You will never be my match. Die!"
Saya laughed wildly, stepped forward, and the black flas on his body surged. Then he flew into the air, raised his hands, and the flas condensed into three black dragons circling above him.
In the next mont, the dragons roared and rushed toward Mio.
"Indeed a troubleso ability," Mio murmured, covering his left hand with Armant Haki and swiping it at the approaching flas, trying to extinguish them.
But the flas didn't go out.
Unless the ability user was killed, these black flas would continue to burn.
And while they burned, they drained his physical energy and transferred it to Saya.
This ability truly lived up to the mythical beast class—both unique and powerful.
"But your IQ may be a bit lacking," Mio remarked calmly. Armant Haki continued to coat his hand, resisting the burning effect. At the sa ti, he looked up at Saya and added, "Did you forget what just happened?"
"What?"
Sayar's expression instantly shifted. He seed to recall sothing and instinctively activated his Observation Haki at full strength, scanning the surroundings and locking his gaze on Mio.
Mio, noticing the heightened vigilance, sneered with contempt. "No matter how careful you are, it's useless. In my domain, the result is always the sa."
Snap.
A crisp snap echoed.
The replacent domain spread instantly.
With a re thought—
Sayar's wings vanished, and his body plumted from the sky.
The black dragons he'd summoned with the flas also instantly vanished.
"Damn it, this again!" Saya cursed inwardly, feeling his ability disappear once more and being replaced by so foreign power he couldn't even begin to control.
With a bang, Saya slamd into the ground. His new, unfamiliar ability faded as quickly as it ca, and his original demonic power returned.
When he looked up, he noticed the black flas on Mio's hand had vanished.
"This guy's ability..."
Sayar's expression darkened.
It was his first real fight against the Black Crow, but the bizarre nature of Mio's powers had already unsettled him.
The sudden ability changes... the power to swap abilities...
They gave him an ominous feeling.
"Demon Dragon!" he roared. Without delay, Saya conjured black flas in his palm and launched them into the sky. The flas rapidly took shape, becoming a colossal black dragon that roared and dove toward Mio.
As the dragon charged, the air grew scorching.
Black wings extended behind Saya, and he soared into the air. Simultaneously, he ford another weapon—this ti, a spear forged from black flas.
"You're destined to be my stepping stone to the throne!"
Mio remained unfazed. Clenching his right fist, he let the devil's power surge. A massive skeletal giant manifested around him, completely enveloping his body.
The towering demon skeleton extended its arm, grabbing the incoming fla dragon and smashing it with a single punch.
But even as the dragon was destroyed, its flas didn't vanish. Instead, they turned into snowflake-like embers that descended from the sky, latching onto the skeletal giant and burning continuously.
Mio ignored the flas. They weren't burning him directly, but rather the energy construct ford by the devil's power. Saya couldn't absorb energy from sothing that wasn't a living body.
Mio's gaze locked on Saya as the skeleton giant struck out again, aiming to crush him.
"Die, and I will beco the new Emperor of the Seas!" Saya bellowed, thrusting his spear forward. As it launched, the spear enlarged, and the black fla tip spun violently like a tornado.
Puff!
The spear clashed with the skeleton giant's fist and actually pierced through, heading straight toward Mio at the core.
"Wishful thinking," Mio said coldly. With a thought, he vanished from inside the giant's body, and the giant dispersed into energy.
In the next instant—
Mio appeared behind Saya, his right fist already drawn back. With all his power focused into one devastating blow, he struck Saya in the back.
Boom!
The overwhelming force smashed Saya into the ground. The entire island trembled, dust rose into the air, and the impact split the ground with deep fractures.
Mio's expression didn't change. He stepped forward and punched again.
Boom. Boom.
The ground shook once more.
Saya's body sank even deeper into the crater.
As Mio was about to deliver another blow, black flas erupted from Saya's body and surged toward him.
Mio disappeared again with a thought, evading the flas.
Saya climbed out of the crater, wiping the blood from his mouth and spitting to the side.
"Black Crow, I admit you've surprised . Your strength is greater than I expected. But I won't lose."
Taking a deep breath, Saya's wings reappeared, and his entire body was engulfed in black flas again. He began to grow rapidly, transforming in re monts into a towering demon wielding a massive spear of fla.
At the sa ti, black flas surged from his body, spreading out across the sky.
In the blink of an eye, he had turned the entire battlefield into a sea of demonic fire.
The temperature spiked drastically.
Even Mio began to sweat under the heat.
He glanced around. Nearly every inch of the space was engulfed in fla, forming a terrifying hellscape.
"Heh."
Mio chuckled softly. He licked his lips, eyes gleaming with excitent—not fear.
"He really is worthy of being a contender for the throne. His strength is genuine. This fight won't end quickly, but that's fine. If he were too weak, it wouldn't be satisfying to kill him."
Buzz—
Mio clenched his right fist. The devil's power surged around him. Armant Haki and dragon power intertwined with it.
The skeletal giant returned once more, enveloping Mio's form. The combined energy forged a massive sword in the giant's hand. With a single swing—
A long, deep crack split the ground beneath them.
