Chapter 89: Chapter 89 Ling Feng’s Intentions

The reason Ling Feng agreed to the other party’s terms was that he wasn’t worried about the secret formula leaking.

Even if that old man knew all the necessary ingredients, he couldn’t make the Continuation Pill!

Without the heritage of the Classic of the Divine Farr, it was impossible to extract the essence of the dicine.

After hanging up the phone, Ling Feng took a ride back to Shiliu Village. On the way, he didn’t ask Mo Jiaolan about the matter of the fifty million. Ling Feng felt it wasn’t right to do so.

That was a secret she had deliberately kept hidden; for him to bring it up would be like tearing open her wounds on the spot. It was too cruel.

So, Ling Feng thought that now he knew her secret, he should figure out a way to see if he could solve the problem before the deadline arrived!

Upon arriving at Shiliu Village, Mo Jiaolan intended to help him pick mushrooms, but Ling Feng declined politely.

Watching her drive away, Ling Feng got on his tricycle with his basket and went to his own field.

Before he even got there, he saw a figure standing in the field, which seed to be Li Shiyun. When he got closer, he saw it was indeed her.

Li Shiyun, hearing footsteps behind her, turned back and said to Ling Feng, "My goodness, is this the surprise you talked about? You actually managed to grow these mushrooms!"

"Yeah, this is just part of the surprise." Ling Feng said with a proud smile.

Getting off the tricycle and walking into the weeds, he saw that the mushrooms in the field had grown a lot bigger, so as large as fists, and so even had their caps open, about the size of two adult hands put together!

"So seem to have aged already, we’d better start harvesting. I’ll help you!" said Li Shiyun.

Ling Feng was speechless; he had just declined Mo Jiaolan, and now here was Li Shiyun offering help.

So he nodded, "Okay then, I picked more than two hundred pounds last ti, and today it looks like there’ll be even more. Let’s get on with it."

Li Shiyun stiffened slightly, "You’ve sold over two hundred pounds already? How many days has it been?"

"Hehe, that’s the magic of it, impressed?" Ling Feng asked excitedly.

Li Shiyun didn’t skimp on her praise, giving him a big thumbs-up: "That’s amazing!"

The two chatted and laughed while picking mushrooms, and within an hour, they had filled the tricycle’s cargo bed.

Ling Feng felt that there had to be at least three hundred pounds this ti, which ant an inco of thirty thousand yuan; it was easier than picking up money!

Driving the tricycle back to his ho, he said to Li Shiyun, "Prepare yourself ntally, I’m about to show you sothing even more amazing!"

"What is it?" Li Shiyun asked curiously.

"Co with !"

Ling Feng took her hand and led her straight to the backyard.

When they arrived at the animal breeding area and saw the animals in the cages, Li Shiyun’s eyes widened, and she covered her mouth with one hand, "My God, what... what are these?"

"Hehe, just take a closer look and you’ll know," Ling Feng said with a mischievous grin.

Li Shiyun walked up close and carefully observed each one before turning back incredulously, "These... these are the pheasants and hares you were raising before?"

"That’s right, it’s them. They’ve just grown a bit aggressively these past couple of days!" Ling Feng laughed.

Li Shiyun didn’t ask how he did it and after looking for a while, she said, "At this rate, you’ll need to expand your farm, won’t you? Otherwise, there won’t be enough room for them!"

"I haven’t thought about that yet. I don’t plan to raise every single one to this size before selling them. I guess no one would want to buy them if I did; they’re too big to eat, right?" Ling Feng shook his head.

"Yes, that’s true. If we can guarantee the quantity, slightly larger than the average would be just fine," Li Shiyun nodded.

After she finished speaking, she turned back and looked at Ling Feng, "You’re quite sothing. It’s only been a few days since I last saw you, and there’s been such a big change around here. If it were any longer, I suppose there would be even more surprises, wouldn’t there?"

"I can’t be sure about that. Actually, you missed out on two things. I killed a few wolves and a wild boar earlier, and shared the at with everyone. Because you weren’t ho, you didn’t get to have any," Ling Feng said.

Li Shiyun shook her head, "I’m not that interested in food, missing out doesn’t bother . What I’m thinking about now is, since your mushroom cultivation is successful, should we start considering the constant temperature room?"

"Hmm, but there’s no rush for that, we can start construction work in the fall," Ling Feng nodded.

"Construction is construction, but preliminary planning is crucial. Leave that to !" Li Shiyun imdiately said.

Ling Feng was sowhat surprised, giving her a strange look.

Feeling his gaze, Li Shiyun’s face flushed red as she quickly explained, "What I an is, once your constant temperature room is built, you’ll definitely need labor. In Shiliu Village, there are more won than n, mostly idlers. If they have jobs, they’ll have a stable inco, which is good for the economic developnt of the entire village. Don’t overthink it!"

After a lengthy and sowhat awkward explanation that Ling Feng didn’t quite take in, he just smiled and stepped forward, patting her shoulder, "Alright then, on behalf of the people of Shiliu Village, I’ll thank you in advance!"

With her face growing even redder, Li Shiyun bowed her head and hurried out, "Aren’t you going to sell mushrooms? I’ll be leaving first."

Watching her departing figure, Ling Feng smiled slightly and turned back around.

Before setting off, he first made a phone call to Mo Jiaolan.

"Are you at the hotel?"

"Yeah, what’s up?" Mo Jiaolan asked.

"Today I’ve harvested three hundred pounds of button mushrooms. I’m thinking of bringing a hundred pounds over to you, is that okay?" Ling Feng asked.

"Ah, didn’t you say that the landlady will take as much as she wants? Why send them to ?" Mo Jiaolan asked, puzzled.

"I’ve thought about it, and from now on, no matter what produce I have, I’ll send it your way. Get ready for the chef to co up with new dishes," Ling Feng said.

There was a mont of silence on Mo Jiaolan’s end before she asked, "Why?"

"No particular reason. I just think your hotel is the best in the county, but the business is so-so. It’s ti to introduce so fresh dishes to attract custors. Besides, I have to give my products to soone. If it’s a matter of making more money, why would I give that advantage to others?" Ling Feng laughed.

"That sounds good, thank you," Mo Jiaolan said softly.

"No need to be polite. Just wait and see, I’ll bring out even more good stuff soon. I aim to make a big change to the nu of your hotel!" Ling Feng said before hanging up the phone and heading off to the county town with great enthusiasm.

By the ti he arrived, Mo Jiaolan was already waiting. From the mushrooms Ling Feng brought, he selected the best quality ones to leave her with a hundred pounds.

After all, the hotel hadn’t introduced this dish before, so they couldn’t keep too much. They needed so ti to make a na for it before placing large orders.

When Mo Jiaolan wanted to settle the bill, Ling Feng shook his head and refused, "I’m not short on money right now, you can pay

after you’ve sold the dishes!"

"Hmm?"

Mo Jiaolan was a bit taken aback. Ling Feng was acting a bit strange today. She couldn’t help but ask, "What’s going on?"

"Nothing’s going on, I really don’t need the money. Why should we stand on ceremony with each other?" Ling Feng laughed.

"Still, it’s not right. You should be paid what’s due to you!" Mo Jiaolan insisted.

Ling Feng still refused to take the money and changed the subject with a quick glance, "Jiaolan, I want to ask you, what do you think is the best way to attract custors?"
