Chapter 574: Chapter 574: Renad Ling Yao

Even though he knew it was impolite to stare so intently, Ling Feng just couldn’t look away; he even wished ti could stop right at that mont and never move forward again.

Yet the woman’s expression remained serene, unbothered by his gaze as she calmly said, "We must have so destiny, for your inheritance is greatly connected to , so I want to help you!"

"Really? That’s great!"

Ling Feng, hearing this, grew excited, aware that this woman was no ordinary person. With her help, wouldn’t that an he could complete his task right away?

Just as he was about to ask for her na, the woman spoke up first, "What’s your na?"

"I’m Ling Feng, and you?"

"Ling Feng?"

Instead of answering, the woman looked pensive, as if trying to recall sothing.

But after a mont, she simply smiled, "Nice na. Do you rember how you ca by your inheritance?"

"Are you referring to my Classic of the Divine Farr?" Ling Feng inquired.

"Of course, do you have any other inheritances?" the woman asked.

Ling Feng chuckled, thinking to himself that he wouldn’t tell her even if he did!

He then spoke up, "This Classic of the Divine Farr ca from a Jade Pendant that I accidentally broke, and that’s when I received it."

"I see!"

The woman appeared to have an epiphany and muttered to herself, "Who would have thought, after three thousand years, soone would finally inherit it!"

Seeing her solemn expression and the trace of wistfulness in her eyes, Ling Feng’s curiosity grew, prompting him to ask, "So, who exactly are you?"

Instead of answering, she turned to look at him, "Do you know the origins of this Classic of the Divine Farr?"

Ling Feng: "..."

He thought that this woman was perfect in many ways, beautiful with an ethereal air, but she seed to lack a bit of social grace.

I’ve asked you twice now, and you’ve still not answered, only busy asking

questions?

Although he felt slightly aggrieved, Ling Feng obediently responded, "Since it’s called the Classic of the Divine Farr, it must certainly be Shennong’s inheritance!"

"That’s correct!"

The woman nodded, "The inheritance you’ve received indeed cos from my elder brother, and I am his sister."

"Ah?"

Ling Feng was dumbfounded!

Shennong’s sister? Wouldn’t that make her the figure of a deity as well?

But then again, did she truly exist? Was what he saw before him a real person or just an illusion?

"I am real, it’s just that for these three thousand years I’ve sealed off my presence, waiting only for the inheritor of the Classic of the Divine Farr to appear," the woman explained calmly, as if reading his doubts.

"So, that ans you’re only around twenty years old now, not three thousand and twenty, right?" Ling Feng asked.

The woman paused, finding the idea amusing, and the corners of her mouth turned up slightly, "Yes, I’m only twenty."

"That makes things easier, because calling a three-thousand-year-old ’you’ would have left

at a loss for words!" Ling Feng scratched his head.

"You can call

Sister Yaoyao," the woman suggested.

"..."

Ling Feng was speechless; just twenty years old and I’m supposed to call you sister?

Shouldn’t it be you calling

brother?

"My real na is Mu Yao, but from today on, I will change it to Ling Yao."

"Why’s that?"

Ling Feng’s heart raced, almost causing him to faint right there!

Taking on his surna—was this girl going to follow him?

"Since you’ve inherited my brother’s legacy, it ans we are now family. I hope you’ll look after

in the future," the woman said.

"I’ll be damned, looks like I’ve picked up a sister!"

Ling Feng thought to himself.

His heart burst with joy, but on the surface, he had to feign composure. After a mont of contemplation, he said, "I can look after you, but since you’re younger than , I think it’s better if I call you Yaoyao sister, okay?"

"No way!"

To his surprise, Ling Yao was very adamant on this point.

She clearly only wanted to be the big sister, not the little one!

Ling Feng had no choice, now was not the ti to argue about this, so he gave a wry smile and said, "Let’s compromise then. Either I call you sister or Yaoyao, either one should be fine, right? Saying ’Yaoyao sister’ is a bit of a tongue twister, ’Yao sister’, I can’t call you that, it’s too easy to give people the wrong idea!"

"Why?" Ling Yao asked curiously.

"Uh, it’s hard to explain, let’s just settle it like this, okay?" Ling Feng replied awkwardly.

"Fine by ."

Ling Yao clearly didn’t want to waste ti on this issue either, so she nodded, waved her little hand, and the two of them returned to the side of that statue.

"You..."

Just as Ling Feng was about to speak, he saw the statue undergoing a change, and his face instantly showed astonishnt!

The white glow had disappeared, and now so powder was rising from the surface of the stone; the entire statue was actually disintegrating!

"Having left my world, it naturally collapses," Ling Yao said indifferently.

At the sa ti, the statue rapidly decomposed, soon turning into a pile of white stone powder on the ground.

Ling Feng felt a wave of confusion and regret in his heart.

"That girl is your lover, isn’t she? Is she still resting?" Ling Yao asked.

"Not a lover, a friend!"

Ling Feng quickly clarified, then continued, "She’s sound asleep; the storm earlier wore her out."

"It’s my fault. How about this, let

help her relieve her fatigue," Ling Yao offered.

After saying that, Ling Yao slowly walked through the stone gate.

Watching her graceful silhouette, Ling Feng felt as if he was dreaming. Shaking his head, he quickly followed her in.

Upon entering, he saw Ling Yao squat down and touch Zhou Yi’s forehead. She imdiately let out a light hum and then opened her eyes.

As their eyes t, Zhou Yi was imdiately taken aback.

Then, she murmured to herself, "Am I dreaming?"

"Not dreaming. Sorry for the trouble before, making you suffer," Ling Yao said.

Turning to see Ling Feng, Zhou Yi looked bewildered, "What’s happening?"

"You should get up and get dressed first," Ling Feng said with a smile.

Zhou Yi looked down at herself and realized she was only in her underwear. She let out an exclamation and quickly jumped up to grab her clothes.

"This sister is really pretty, and her clothes are also very unique!" Ling Yao exclaid with admiration.

"..."

Ling Feng was speechless. He was insistent on being called ’big sister’ by her, but when it ca to Zhou Yi, she casually calls her sister—why the double standard?

Just because he’s a man?

While he was feeling helpless, Ling Yao glanced at him, "Why don’t you put on your clothes? Looking like that, what kind of image are you presenting!"

"I’m wrong, I’ll put them on right away!"

Only then did Ling Feng realize that he was nearly naked too. So he hastily nodded, scrambled to get his clothes, and dressed in a flash.

After the two of them were properly dressed, Ling Yao adjusted her skirt and elegantly sat down on a rock, saying to them, "You must be full of questions, right? Whatever you want to know, sit down, and I will tell you everything!"

Ling Feng thought, finally, this was the mont he’d been waiting for!

He imdiately pulled Zhou Yi over, and they sat down in front of Ling Yao.

He quickly asked, "Having been here so long, you must know about Chi You’s seal, right?"

"Of course, I created the seal, so naturally, I know about it!" Ling Yao nodded.

"That’s freaking great!"

Ling Feng slapped his thigh and let out a coarse exclamation.
