Chapter 572: Chapter 572: Take Off Your Clothes?

He didn’t know how much ti had passed when Ling Feng began to feel a numbness in his arms, and the sound of the rain gradually tapered off.

The wind also suddenly died down, coming to a quick halt.

Yet at this mont, the two of them were exceptionally disheveled, not to ntion soaking wet, they also felt extrely cold!

If only there were a large fire now.

Ling Feng thought to himself.

The water had risen to twenty centiters at their feet, subrging their ankles. This icy sensation spreading from the soles of their feet made them exceedingly uncomfortable.

The rain had stopped without a sound, and the space returned to silence again, but the two people clinging tightly to each other did not separate.

Zhou Yi rested her head against Ling Feng’s chest, both could feel each other’s heartbeat, but Ling Feng could sense that her body was getting increasingly warm!

At the sa ti, Zhou Yi’s trembling grew more intense, prompting him to ask with concern, "You’re not catching a cold, are you?"

"I, I’m a bit cold," Zhou Yi said weakly.

Damn!

She actually had a cold and a fever!

Realizing this, Ling Feng quickly took out several dicinal Pills from his Space Ring, loosened his numb arms, and told her, "Eat these, and you’ll feel better in no ti."

As the embrace broke, Zhou Yi felt a sense of loss deep inside, and her shivering intensified...

She reached out with trembling hands to take the dicinal Pills and stuffed them into her mouth without hesitation.

Monts later, a warm current spread from her stomach to her limbs and bones, and she instantly felt much more comfortable.

Feeling better, her attention beca more focused. Zhou Yi looked up at the sky, then around the dark surroundings, and asked with concern, "What do we do now?"

"Can you walk? If you can, we’ve got to keep moving. We can’t stay here indefinitely," Ling Feng suggested.

Zhou Yi stamped her feet, splashing water all around, "I can walk, but my feet feel a bit numb."

"Should I carry you?" Ling Feng offered.

"Ah?"

Zhou Yi paused for a mont before shaking her head, "No need, I can walk on my own!"

"Alright, let’s try to move a bit faster, and see if there’s any kind of building up ahead. If there is, we could rest for a while!"

As Ling Feng spoke, he naturally took her hand.

Zhou Yi was taken aback once more, yet this ti she did not resist and let him lead her. Subsequently, the two of them started walking across the rain-drenched wilderness.

Noticing Zhou Yi’s unsteady steps, Ling Feng couldn’t help but ask, "Can you really walk? Don’t force yourself!"

"I..."

Zhou Yi hesitated for a mont, biting her lip.

Though her body had recovered after taking the dicine, the persistently cold feeling from her feet soaking in the water made her gait unsteady and caused a continuous chill throughout her body.

So, hearing Ling Feng’s suggestion, she thought to herself, "Since he’s already carried

once, what’s the harm in one more ti?"

"Besides, I just got held so tightly by him, he’s already had more than his fill of my ’tofu’; why play coy?"

With that thought, Zhou Yi lifted her head and glanced at Ling Feng, "Well, okay then."

Ling Feng nodded, turned around, and crouched down, "Co on up, then."

Pressing her lips together, she climbed onto his back. The wide and solid feeling brought her substantial comfort, and Zhou Yi couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh of relief.

Ling Feng also felt her breath and chuckled to himself. No matter how tough and fierce she acts, she’s still just a woman at heart!

After securing her on his back, Ling Feng stood up and quickened his pace, racing across the wilderness!

Minutes later, he suddenly saw a point of bright light in the pitch-black distance, and his heart gave a jolt. He imdiately dashed toward it!

A point of light in the dark night signified hope!

If it were a village or sothing of the sort, they could get sothing warm to eat and drink, rest for a while, and be two energetic people the next day.

The appearance of that point of light suddenly invigorated Ling Feng, and he hurried forward without stopping.

However, as he neared the bright light, a trace of doubt arose in his heart.

The object emitting the white light seed to be a cylindrical shape, long and stick-like, not at all resembling the light from a villager’s ho!

As he rapidly approached, the glowing object grew increasingly distinct, and soon Zhou Yi shuddered and lowly exclaid, "How can this be?"

Ling Feng was startled, "What’s wrong?"

"That light seems to be coming from a statue we’ve seen before!" Zhou Yi said.

"Huh? Impossible!"

Ling Feng was a bit confused, but upon closer inspection of the glowing object ahead, it really did look like that white statue!

A wave of disappointnt washed over him; if that were the case, it ant that their previous wandering in the wilderness and enduring the elents had been in vain!

They had gone in circles and were back at the starting point!

Indeed, once they got even closer, Ling Feng saw clearly that the light was indeed coming from that statue!

"I’m speechless!"

Despite being steeped in disappointnt, he still didn’t stop moving, and a few minutes later, they returned to the statue.

No matter what, the stone structure still provided a place to rest, and since there was wood inside, they could build a fire, which was much better than the watery wilderness!

So, carrying Zhou Yi, he entered the interior of the building. Ling Feng squatted down to let her off and then said, "You sit for a bit, I’ll go make a fire."

"Okay."

Zhou Yi was also a little dazed now; turning her head to look around, she realized indeed they had been there before and felt full of confusion.

Ling Feng brought over a couple of logs and used the God Slayer Saber to chop them into fine strips; he then gathered them into a pile, creating a makeshift bonfire.

Once the fire was lit, though it had not yet fully caught, both of them felt a surge of warmth and instantly let out a sigh of relief.

The wood crackled as it caught fire, and as the flas gradually grew larger, so did the light and heat.

Zhou Yi, however, started shivering again, prompting Ling Feng to urge her quickly, "Take off your clothes; keeping them on while heating up by the fire can harm your body!"

Zhou Yi gave him a look as if to say, Don’t I know that?

But how am I supposed to undress with you sitting here?

Seeing her reproachful expression, Ling Feng chuckled and said, "How about I turn around? You dry your clothes first, then I’ll dry mine."

After speaking, he turned his back to Zhou Yi.

Seeing him do this, Zhou Yi hesitated.

Clothes soaked through and clinging to skin was an extrely uncomfortable sensation, so, despite her embarrassnt, she gently unbuttoned her clothes and stripped off her tight-fitting outer garnt.

As she placed it next to the fire on a rock, steam could be distinctly seen rising from the clothing, and she sighed softly.

Now she was down to her underwear, sothing she absolutely could not remove. Even if Ling Feng stepped outside to give her privacy, she would never take it off!

Currently feeling her skin bake in the heat wave from the fire, she felt much more comfortable, but glancing at Ling Feng’s back, Zhou Yi thought for a mont, then bit her lip and asked softly, "Or maybe you could turn around?"
