"Am I seeing things, or is it an illusion?"

The security guard stood frozen in place, rubbing his eyes in confusion.

By this ti, Ling Feng had already entered the ergency staircase and was quickly making his way up to the tenth floor.

He didn’t take the elevator because he felt it was a waste of ti and that climbing the stairs himself would be faster!

After just a glance, Ling Feng shouted and charged forward.

The person choking Mo Lan released her and leapt up to run upstairs!

Of course, Ling Feng couldn’t let him escape. After taking a quick step forward, his toe aid straight for the man’s lower leg!

If he managed to hit, the other’s leg would surely break!

Unexpectedly, the man’s head seed to have grown eyes because he lifted his leg and dodged the kick.

Ling Feng hesitated for a mont, seeing Mo Lan on the ground. He quickly made his decision, no longer pursuing the man, but instead bent down to help her up, "Are you alright?"

Mo Lan, gasping for breath, pointed at the staircase and managed to say intermittently.

It was a large room, empty and barren, clearly visible from the doorway.

Just as they were puzzled, the television that was hanging on the wall with a blue screen suddenly displayed an image, and then Kong Sheng’s face appeared on the screen!

"Ling Feng, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you. There’s no way you could catch !"

There was a hint of mockery in Kong Sheng’s tone as he said with a sneer.

Ling Feng was still startled, but upon seeing the cara hanging in the corner, he quickly realized what was going on and retorted with a sneer, "Getting better at running away, huh?"

After saying this, Kong Sheng’s image disappeared from the screen.

Even though it lasted for only about fifteen seconds, Ling Feng had seen his surroundings; the guy was on the rooftop terrace.

It was a mystery how he planned to escape, appearing so confident.

Ling Feng gritted his teeth and said to Mo Lan, "You contact Old Wang, I’m going upstairs to take a look!"

"Okay."

"Alright then."

With a heavy heart, Ling Feng walked downstairs and did not see Mo Lan’s figure; she probably had already gone down.

Arriving at the ground floor lobby, the security guard who had seen him earlier glanced at Ling Feng and imdiately widened his eyes: "I’m not seeing things!"

After speaking, he rose imdiately and approached, "Stop right there, what are you doing!"

"Move!"

Ling Feng, already in a foul mood, yelled irritably, startling the security guard, who took a step back while Ling Feng had already walked out the door.

Back at Wang Laogen’s car, he saw both father and daughter inside, Ling Feng imdiately asked, "What now?"

"I’ve already sent people to investigate who dispatched the helicopter; we should have so leads soon," Wang Laogen said.

"I didn’t expect him to be upstairs. If it weren’t for your tily arrival, I’d have been strangled to death by now," Mo Lan said indifferently.

Although her words carried a sense of gratitude, her tone was very flat, as though the matter was unrelated to her.

Ling Feng didn’t dwell on her tone but sighed and said, "Now it seems, we’ve been outsmarted by Mr. Kong?"

Wang Laogen shook his head, "No."

"No?"

Ling Feng was stunned, his eyes wide as he looked at him.

Wang Laogen smiled, "It could have been successful, but sothing must have slipped just now, making him alert and causing him to flee imdiately!"

"If they really wanted to transfer, they would have left long ago. Why wait until we arrived to leave?"
