Chapter 2029: Chapter 2028: Snatching the Spoils

Using Divine Sense, Ling Feng began swinging his saber, journeying through the monster’s insides.

The situation outside no longer mattered, as he didn’t feel any upheaval within. The monster seed to lack pain receptors, with no reaction to being sliced.

Heading from the throat towards the brain, Ling Feng pierced through several mbranes with little effort, traversing through bone gaps into a massive spherical space.

Before him was an enormous orb, wrapped in a thick white mbrane. Ling Feng realized this was the monster’s brain.

Obviously, destroying this would certainly kill the monster!

He was surprised at how easy it was to reach this point.

With excitent, Ling Feng rushed forward, slashing the God Slayer Saber towards the mbrane!

To his shock, the God Slayer Saber couldn’t penetrate the mbrane!

Arriving at close range, Ling Feng gripped the saber tightly and stabbed with force!

The result was the sa, it couldn’t penetrate!

"Damn, what is this thing, so sturdy?"

Ling Feng was dumbfounded, imdiately at a loss.

But being here, he couldn’t back down. He had to find a way to break the brain!

After so thought, Ling Feng suddenly had an idea.

If the saber can’t pierce it, use fire!

His Space Bracelet was filled with Five Elents Fruit, and the Fire Water of Five Elents was inextinguishable, surely it could burn the brain!

So, he pulled out a few Five Elents Fruits, weighed them in his hands, then let out a cold laugh and tossed them out!

"Boom!"

Flas surged, instantly igniting the white mbrane!

In the blink of an eye, the flas enveloped the whole brain.

Soon, Ling Feng slled roasted at.

The once-gray brain now turned milky white, looking like tofu pudding!

"The brain’s cooked, I don’t believe you can still live!"

Ling Feng muttered, glanced around the space, then leapt upward.

He still had eyes on the monster’s unicorn horn; it felt hard like jade. He had just tried to stab it, but he wanted to get it first.

After navigating through the thick muscle layers montarily, Ling Feng breached several mbranes, erging from the monster’s eye.

Seawater surged in, washing away most of the bloodstains from him.

Only now he realized the monster was indeed dead.

The enormous body now lay underwater.

With Divine Sense, he detected the monster at almost a hundred ters deep, explaining the pressure!

Feeling alright, Ling Feng didn’t feel oppressed by the imnse water pressure, soon reaching the monster’s head to inspect the unicorn horn.

The creature’s size was too great for his Space Bracelet, so he salvaged useful items first; the rest could be handled later!

Ling Feng arrived at the horn base, attempting to slice with the God Slayer Saber again.

Surprisingly, after the monster’s death, seemingly losing its defenses, he easily cut through the muscles around the horn and severed the thick bone at the base!

A flash of white light in his hand, the over ten-ter-long unicorn horn was stored in the Space Bracelet. Ling Feng glanced at the monster’s corpse, then leapt towards the surface!

...

...

He lost track of ti, only upon reaching the surface did he see the clear blue sky, with the big sun hanging overhead.

A black shadow flashed overhead, and Ghost Dragon imdiately landed on the water, then Amaterasu poked his head forward, saying, "You finally erged!"

Ling Feng smiled, leaping onto Ghost Dragon’s back: "I killed that thing!"

"I know, hours ago the monster stopped swimming forward, flailed in the water awhile, then sank to the seabed!" Amaterasu said.

"I wasn’t aware of any of that, I felt nothing inside its body!"

Ling Feng chuckled, then examined the surroundings with Divine Sense, noticing nurous ships nearby and several aircraft overhead.

Looks like, aware of the monster’s demise, nations dispatched their troops here.

A loud honk arose, as a warship approached.

Ling Feng saw it was Arica’s fleet arriving.

Ghost Dragon ascended, hovering about ten ters above the sea level, while the warship quickly arrived nearby, then a male voice ca through the ship’s loudspeakers: "Mr. Ling, would you care to co down for a chat?"

Ling Feng pondered briefly, looking back at Amaterasu: "Will you join ?"

"No, I’ll remain here." Amaterasu replied.

"Alright then!"

Ling Feng nodded, jumping onto the warship’s deck.

Soon, several officers erged from the cockpit, smiling as they approached.

Seeing them smiling, Ling Feng didn’t keep a stern face, his mouth slightly curved upwards.

"Mr. Ling, thank you for everything you’ve done for Arica!"

A man with the highest rank extended a hand, speaking.

"You’re welco, it’s what I ought to do!"

Ling Feng chuckled lightly, spoke casually.

"Mr. Ling, the monster’s corpse is at the seabed, did you manage to retrieve anything from it?" the officer asked.

Ling Feng hesitated, then shook his head: "Sorry, no."

"Really? That’s unfortunate!"

The officer nodded, then continued: "This thing could withstand hydrogen bomb attacks, we’re not sure of the reason, but our experts are very interested. Can you entrust the monster’s corpse to us?"

"Well..."

Ling Feng pondered, then replied: "The corpse is at the seabed, if you want to research, go retrieve it yourselves. It’s enormous, I’m unable to assist you!"

"No problem, as long as you agree, we have subrsibles on the way, they can dive soon!" the officer said.

"Alright then!"

Ling Feng nodded, then said: "If nothing else, I’ll take my leave now."

"Okay, safe journey, Mr. Ling."

Ling Feng leapt back onto Ghost Dragon’s back, then ordered it to imdiately ascend!

Once airborne, he took out his phone to call Lin Xue.

With Lin Xue taking over Zhang He’s duties, she remained stationed at Longyuan, so to contact personnel, the best thod was via her.

Upon connection, Lin Xue mumbled asking: "What’s going on?"

"Sleeping, huh? I have urgent business, quickly find Little Yu, have her teleport to

imdiately!" Ling Feng said.

Lin Xue responded with an ’Oh,’ then inquired: "Why?"

Ling Feng chuckled: "My bracelet space is inadequate, if I’m to contend for things against the Aricans, she must co."

"Okay, I’ll let her know right away!"

Lin Xue’s voice imdiately awakened.
