Chapter 2011: Chapter 2010: Getting Ahead

Sato Saori and Li Tong were a bit stunned, looking around the room in confusion, then simultaneously asked, "What’s going on?"

"I just sensed a crisis, and then I discovered that there were many drones in the sky. If I’m not mistaken, that city might no longer be there!" Ling Feng said.

"Ah?"

Sato Saori’s eyes widened in shock, "How could that be!"

"You’ll know soon enough!"

Ling Feng took out a satellite phone and called Gu Li.

However, the line was busy, and he couldn’t get through.

Helplessly, Ling Feng had to find Ah Min’s number and dialed her instead.

This ti it went through, and Ah Min breathed a sigh of relief, "Boss, you’re okay? That’s great!"

"I’m fine, but why can’t I get through to Gu Li?" Ling Feng asked.

"He was trying to call you; you two were blocking each other’s line!"

Ah Min said, and then Gu Li’s voice ca through the receiver, "Boss, you’re really okay?"

"No kidding, would I be calling you if sothing happened to ?"

Ling Feng said, imdiately asking, "So? You’ve received the news too?"

"Yes, it’s news from the military high command. The Aricans launched a devastating strike on a city in northern Ahan Country, and knowing you were there, I called right away!" Gu Li said.

Ling Feng acknowledged and then asked, "Is there live footage?"

"Only pictures for now. The city is now a sea of fire, and I doubt anyone survived."

Gu Li said and quickly asked, "Did you detect the crisis and leave in ti, boss?"

"Sort of. I felt sothing was off, and I imdiately teleported away, not expecting sothing indeed happened!" Ling Feng said.

"You better co back first. The matter just happened, and I believe the Aricans will issue a statent soon." Gu Li said.

"Alright, I’m coming back now!"

Ling Feng nodded and hung up the phone.

Seeing the two won still a bit stunned, Ling Feng said with a wry smile, "Let’s go back first, sothing unexpected happened; the Aricans acted first!"

Taking the two won back to Lingyun Island, after arriving at Gu Li’s office, he imdiately said to Ling Feng, "Boss, the Aricans have announced that the Talik Organization has been completely eliminated."

"Hmm!"

Ling Feng looked a bit displeased, nodded, and then asked, "It seems they had informants within the Talik Organization?"

"It seems that way. Once they learned of the Talik Organization’s large-scale gathering, they found it opportune and imdiately took action." Gu Li said.

"What a pity, I’ve been busy for several days only to end up working for others!"

Ling Feng sighed and continued, "The problem is, the civilians in that city were innocent; the Aricans were too ruthless!"

"They didn’t ntion any civilian casualties, only said that all the Talik Organization leaders and a large number of soldiers were killed in the bombing." Gu Li said.

"Got it."

Ling Feng nodded, squinting his eyes in contemplation.

Seeing him like this, Sato Saori asked, "Do you feel unbalanced?"

"No, I didn’t want to kill anyone, but since the Aricans have acted, it doesn’t really matter. However, I worry that now they’ve taken the spotlight, they won’t leave Ahan Country easily, will they?" Ling Feng remarked.

Li Tong nodded, "It’s very possible. They might stay under the pretense of aiding reconstruction and continue to exploit the country’s resources."

"Indeed, so now I’m not thinking about O’Hara and his n—those people deserve to die—but without them, how to get the Aricans to leave?" Ling Feng said.

"That will be very difficult."

Gu Li thought for a mont, "Unless the rulers of Ahan Country demand it, the Aricans won’t leave; even if the rulers ask them to leave, they might stick around, considering Ahan Country’s rich oil reserves."

"Yes, so all my hard work over the past few days provided them with a good opportunity!"

Ling Feng laughed wryly and then said, "Alright, let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll go back and think about it."

He left the office alone, heading back to his residence on the island.

Knowing Ling Feng wanted to be alone, everyone else didn’t bother him and went about their business.

Seeing the disappointnt on Li Tong’s face, Sato Saori smiled, took her hand, and said, "It’s late, stay at my place tonight. Whatever it is, we can talk about it in the morning!"

With that, the two won left Gu Li’s office.

...

...

The night passed, and Ling Feng stood by the window, gazing out at the distant sea, his brows still furrowed tightly.

At that mont, the phone rang, and seeing it was Han Wancheng calling, he answered, "Boss, you looking for ?"

"Co to Capital City, I have so things to discuss with you!" Han Wancheng said.

"Okay, I’ll be right over."

Ling Feng nodded, hung up, and then went to the Capital City’s Security Bureau.

After arriving, he sat down and asked, "Boss, what do you want to talk about?"

"You can’t beco rich overnight. I’ve heard about the Middle East, but for now, focus your energy on South Arica, Slavic regions, and Southeast Asia." Han Wancheng said.

Ling Feng was taken aback, looking at him in surprise, "What? I don’t need to worry about the Middle East?"

"It’s not that you don’t need to, but the ti isn’t right!"

Han Wancheng said, then asked, "Do you really understand that area?"

"Only partially. I just know that it’s rich in resources and constantly plagued by conflict." Ling Feng replied.

"That’s right, but what you don’t know is not only are the Aricans eyeing it, but so are the Russians, and several major European countries also have interests and presence there. The situation is too complicated; you can’t afford to invest all your energy there right now!" Han Wancheng said.

"Alright."

Ling Feng gave a resigned smile, then said, "If you had called

last night, I wouldn’t have spent a sleepless night pondering Middle Eastern affairs!"

"I was very busy last night, in etings most of the night. I had no ti to contact you!"

Han Wancheng said, then looked at Ling Feng, "Now that we’ve discussed the Middle East, let’s talk about Southeast Asia!"

"What’s there to talk about?"

Ling Feng asked, puzzled.

"You’re making quite the commotion over there. The whole world knows and is keeping an eye on it!"

Han Wancheng said, then reminded, "If there’s nothing pressing, try to stay there more often. I suspect it won’t be long before sothing happens!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng hesitated, raising his head in bewildernt, "What could happen?"

"It must be sothing significant. Many people don’t like you, don’t want to see you turning that area from scattered sand into a watertight fortress, as that would affect their interests!"

Han Wancheng said, implicitly pointing out, "Like the English!"
