Chapter 1965: Chapter 1964: Disguise
Ling Feng had made a good plan, secretly sneaking into the manor, ready to dash up and seize Kidd if discovered.
But unexpectedly, as soon as he climbed over the wall, the manor’s alarm system activated!
Soon, more than a dozen security personnel rushed out ard, and Ling Feng rolled his eyes, retreating back outside the wall.
He slapped his head and had no choice but to give up on covert infiltration. Then he activated his Divine Sense.
The entire manor’s environnt unfolded before his eyes, but he was disappointed to see none of the faces familiar to him!
In the manor, he could only see so staff mbers.
Ling Feng was puzzled, wondering if Smack was just misleading him.
But what benefit would he gain from doing this?
Ling Feng pondered, feeling sothing was off, and after a mont of contemplation, he scanned again with his Divine Sense, including a sweep of the manor’s underground areas.
Although several basents were found, there was still nobody inside!
Strange!
Ling Feng sensed sothing peculiar but couldn’t wrap his mind around it.
Half an hour passed, and daylight broke. The patrolling security personnel, having found nothing, retreated.
Just then, a car drove out of the manor, slowly leaving through the gates.
A middle-aged man in his forties was at the wheel; his identity was unclear, but Ling Feng intuitively felt he must be a staff mber of the manor.
After so thought, he quietly followed him.
The car wasn’t going fast, and Ling Feng didn’t even need to speed up to keep up with him.
After twenty minutes, the car reached a market.
Ling Feng then realized what the man was up to; he had co to purchase everyday supplies.
He decided not to continue following him but waited by the car while using his Divine Sense to keep an eye on him.
The man browsed around the market, quickly settling on a lot of food, but took none with him due to the sheer quantity!
It seed he was ordering them, with a specialist to later deliver everything to the manor by truck.
Ling Feng had decided to use this man as a breakthrough point, so he patiently waited until he returned to the car from the market.
By now, it was past seven in the morning, as the day began with most people having to get up.
The man had just gotten into the car when he felt a wind striking him. Then, he knew nothing.
Coming to his senses, he was astounded to find himself in a forest.
The coastal jungle was dense, surrounded by tall trees and shrubbery. After a mont’s confusion, a cold voice ca from behind: "What’s your na?"
Turning around, a stranger’s white face appeared before him, and the man imdiately barked, "You got guts! Do you know who I am to dare kidnap !"
"Cut the nonsense, what’s your na? What do you do in the manor, what’s your daily job!"
Ling Feng stepped forward, lifting him single-handedly, firing off a series of questions.
No need for answers, as he’d already extracted the information from the man’s mind.
This man, called Bronson, indeed worked in the manor, responsible for everyday supply procurent as if he was the steward there.
Once he grasped the situation, Ling Feng chuckled, pinpointed Bronson’s acupoint, stripped off his outer clothing, and put him into the Space Bracelet.
After a while, Ling Feng, dressed in Bronson’s clothing and with his face made up to be identical, returned to the car outside the forest.
With his superb Art of Disguise, nobody could detect Bronson had been replaced.
Ling Feng drove back to the manor, smoothly entering, and swaggered into the manor’s main building.
Though appearances could be altered, voices couldn’t, so he avoided contact with others, quietly searching the building.
Ling Feng was unwilling to give up, convinced the manor held so mystery as he felt Smack had no reason to deceive him!
Since Divine Sense couldn’t search, he decided to rely on his own eyes!
Bronson’s status was advantageous, allowing him to look around the manor, which is why he selected this approach.
Soon, Ling Feng noticed sothing amiss!
Previously outside, his Divine Sense seed to have scanned the manor thoroughly, yet upon entering the four-floor main building, Ling Feng realized the structure was larger than his Divine Sense indicated!
Especially at the back, the building was connected to another two-floor building, yet the Divine Sense hadn’t detected it!
Ling Feng understood now that the Roth Family must have employed so unknown thod to render the building invisible!
Not just Divine Sense, it was likely undetectable to satellites or radar-like devices too!
Ling Feng couldn’t find an entrance to that building from the main structure, so he exited through a side door and circled back.
This two-floor structure was not large, rely the size of a basketball court, with no visible windows on the exterior as though it was a sealed building.
After circling around to no avail, Ling Feng scratched his head, puzzled!
Standing in the corner, Ling Feng reached out to touch, only to be shocked to find that although a wall of blue bricks appeared before him, his hand discovered it wasn’t there!
His hand went right through!
"What the hell? What’s this?"
Ling Feng was baffled but still stepped straight into it!
Once his body had passed through the wall, he imdiately saw the scene inside.
It was a huge room filled with people, each with a computer and piles of docunts on their desks.
The busy individuals hadn’t noticed his arrival, fully focused on their tasks!
Ling Feng squinted at the sight and walked forward as he spotted a familiar space across from him, beyond transparent glass, containing two familiar faces!
Kidd, Jack Ross!
Upon seeing them, Ling Feng grinned.
He didn’t care much about the other seven people in the room; finding these two ant today’s trip wasn’t in vain!
And with him presently having Bronson’s face, he didn’t rush into action, stepping forward into their midst.
The room was smoky, and Jack Ross and others seed to be holding a eting, each showing a grim expression.
Ling Feng pushed open the glass door and entered the room, causing Jack Ross to raise his head in surprise: "Bronson, how did you get in!"
Earlier, he hadn’t observed this building in Bronson’s mind, indicating he wasn’t aware of its presence, so Ling Feng chuckled: "I walked in by accident; what’s this place, why haven’t I been here?"
Upon his speech, Jack Ross widened his eyes: "You, who are you!"
The voice was wrong, the tone was wrong; this wasn’t Bronson!
