Chapter 1841: Chapter 1840: Confession

Facing the panicked crowd, Ling Feng shouted: "You don’t qualify to negotiate with . If you don’t want this city to go up in flas, bring

Victor imdiately. You have ten minutes!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he sat down on the steps at the entrance of the building.

The scene was silent; the people across were dumbfounded.

At this mont, Yelena also erged from the Jade Token Space. Seeing this scene, she squinted her eyes: "Why are you doing this?"

"A country that doesn’t understand reason. I’m here to teach them so sense!" Ling Feng said.

"You!"

Yelena stomped her foot in anger: "Didn’t I say not to harm them? Do you really want to destroy the entire city?"

Ling Feng nodded: "I didn’t agree to you earlier! Now they have ten minutes to bring Victor. If they can’t, then I’m sorry, I will indeed destroy this world-famous city!"

"Is it just because of your personal grudge?"

Yelena pointed at Ling Feng, her eyes red with anger: "This is outright hegemony, so unreasonable!"

"It’s quite surprising to hear you say that. A hundred years ago, when your people were burning, killing, and looting in Huaxia, did you think of these things?" Ling Feng retorted with a cold smile.

"....."

Yelena was at a loss for words and after a mont of silence, she said coldly, "Since you insist on doing this, our cooperation ends here!"

After speaking, she turned to leave, but Ling Feng looked at her: "Did I say you could go?"

"What do you want to do?"

Yelena was startled and turned back to ask.

"The matter of HZ company hasn’t been clarified yet, you can’t leave!"

Ling Feng smiled lightly, then added, "You can try if you don’t believe !"

Yelena widened her eyes and just as she was about to speak, she found herself enveloped in a red glow. Looking up in astonishnt, she saw a pair of blood-red eyes staring at her from mid-air; it was Jin Gang.

Seeing his gaze, Yelena’s heart trembled, and she dared not move.

Ling Feng knew that speaking further at this ti would easily provoke her, making her unable to stand down, so he stayed silent.

Then he looked at the officer opposite: "You have eight minutes left!"

The scene fell into a deadlock, with Ling Feng’s side unmoved and the other side not daring to act rashly.

As ti passed second by second, Ling Feng’s Divine Sense detected a car with flashing police lights speeding towards them from afar.

Inside the car, Victor sat in the backseat, looking terrified.

Seeing him, Ling Feng smiled and said to the officer, "Alright, the person has arrived. You can retreat now!"

"..."

Although they had received the order, without Ling Feng’s word, the officer dared not order a retreat!

Now hearing him speak, the officer breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly ordered the military and police to start withdrawing.

To be controlled by one person like this, unable to even breathe deeply, was unheard of!

Telling others would be embarrassing!

Everyone left with heads hung low, all thinking the sa.

Once the area around the building cleared out, the car carrying Victor arrived at the scene.

Ling Feng stood up, turned, and glanced at Yelena: "Do you want to co with ?"

"..."

Yelena bit her lip. Although she felt he was too overbearing, she still nodded.

The two approached the car, and Ling Feng said to the individuals in the front seats, "Get out. I have things to ask Victor; I don’t need you listening in!"

The two exchanged a glance, said nothing, and imdiately got out of the car!

Initially unaware of what was happening, they found it odd when rushed orders ca from above to bring soone here.

But once they arrived, seeing two huge monsters on the street, they understood.

Ling Feng got into the car, and after Yelena sat in the passenger seat, he turned to Victor: "Don’t be so nervous, I’m just here to ask you a few questions, not to kill you!"

"Tha- thank you."

Victor, his thoughts jumbled, replied blankly.

Ling Feng ignored him, drove off, heading out of the city.

At first, a few cars followed behind, but for so reason, they gradually fell back, soon vanishing from sight.

Ling Feng remained silent, concentrating on driving out of the city, while Yelena, occasionally glancing at him, wondered what would happen next.

Once the car reached an open field after leaving the city, Ling Feng stopped.

Turning around, he looked at Victor: "Do you know why I brought you outside the city?"

"N-no, I don’t."

Victor was already dazed, shaking his head blankly.

"Later, I’ll need your testimony. If you cooperate well, I might let you go free, without handing you back to the military. Understand my aning?" Ling Feng asked.

"Huh?"

Not only Victor, Yelena was also stunned!

She quickly asked, "How can you do this?"

"Why can’t I do this?"

Ling Feng glanced at her, then coldly chuckled: "He’ll end up in jail if he goes back. Isn’t being free on the outside better?"

"But you’re obviously opposing the French governnt!" Yelena said.

Ling Feng looked at her: "Are you afraid?"

"....."

Seeing Yelena remain silent, Ling Feng smiled: "They did wrongs themselves; shouldn’t they pay so price? Taking Victor as a scapegoat is fine?"

Yelena still stayed silent.

Ling Feng turned back to Victor: "Ready? I’m going to start recording!"

"C-can you ensure my personal safety?" Victor swallowed nervously and asked cautiously.

"I can only assure you that you’ll be safe here. Once you leave, whether you’ll be hunted or how you’ll make a living in the future, I can’t guarantee," Ling Feng replied.

Victor paused, then after so thought, gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, it’s still better than prison!"

Ling Feng nodded: "Good!"

After saying this, he took out his phone and began recording.

Victor then started recounting his experiences as a supervisor at a military base in the Middle East, detailing various events.

The guy, taking a big risk, divulged so secrets he knew regarding France and Arica.

Not only did Ling Feng listen wide-eyed, but Yelena was also sowhat shocked and a bit embarrassed, not expecting her country to have done so many dirty deeds on soone else’s land.

Plundering resources, slaughtering civilians, acting righteous on the surface but committing acts of robbery in the shadows!

When he spoke about August, Victor provided an important clue!

That on the flight back, August had foreseen that he might be silenced, so he told Victor that he had hidden evidence in a safe at ho, able to testify to so illegal activities of the HZ company.

Hearing this, Ling Feng nodded and thought to himself, great, now it’s possible to uproot that company!
