Chapter 1763: Chapter 1762: New Mission

The car sped along and upon arrival, they could see Du Song and He Bing’s car from a distance.

Ling Feng and Lin Xue got out of the car and quickly entered the village, soon finding the two n.

When Du Song and company saw Ling Feng approaching, they widened their eyes, not knowing what had happened and feeling a bit confused.

Ling Feng smiled and said to them, "Did you get to the bottom of it?"

"We just asked. Soone saw a big red object flying across the sky, but there wasn’t enough ti to record it," Du Song replied.

"Oh."

Ling Feng, keeping a neutral expression, turned to the villagers nearby and asked in a serious tone, "You all saw it, right? Can you describe in more detail what you saw?"

"Sure."

So villagers recognized Ling Feng and excitedly began to recount their experience.

About an hour ago, villagers were working in the fields when suddenly, with a whooshing sound, a huge red fireball flew over.

Everyone was taken aback, and by the ti soone took out a phone to record it, the object had already flown away.

That’s roughly what happened. After a brief mont of shock, one of the quick-thinking villagers called the police, who then reported the incident to the security bureau.

That’s why Du Song and He Bing ca.

After hearing this, Ling Feng’s heart sank!

What the villagers described was exactly like what he had seen in Arica!

But this was strange. Ling Feng thought to himself: he had teleported here, making several stops before reaching Longyuan. How could that thing have followed?

Even supersonic planes aren’t that fast, right?

He knew that so ballistic missiles could travel thousands of kiloters in just a few minutes, but could a flying object move that swiftly?

Lingering in thought, Lin Xue asked beside him, "Shouldn’t we report to the higher-ups first?"

"Alright, I need to head to the Capital City anyway. I’ll address this issue with Old Han personally!"

Ling Feng nodded, didn’t stay much longer in the village, and quickly returned to the car.

He didn’t leave with Lin Xue by car but teleported back, heading straight to Capital City.

Upon arrival, he entered Han Wancheng’s office and imdiately asked, "Boss, have you been waiting anxiously?"

"You were supposed to arrive in a few minutes. What took you so long?" Han Wancheng asked, dissatisfied.

"It’s a long story!"

Ling Feng chuckled and explained the UFO sighting.

Han Wancheng was taken aback: "How is that possible? Didn’t the local radar detect anything?"

"That’s the strange part, I can’t figure out what’s going on!" Ling Feng said.

Both of them furrowed their brows in confusion, and after a mont of silence, Han Wancheng said, "Let’s put this aside for now. Tell

about your ti in Arica."

"What is there to say? Did Petao co out to protest?" Ling Feng asked.

"Not only did they protest, but they also issued the most serious diplomatic statent demanding an explanation from us!" Han Wancheng said.

Ling Feng was slightly taken aback: "And how did we respond?"

"That it was a personal action and has nothing to do with Huaxia!"

Han Wancheng said.

"Oh, that works then?"

Ling Feng laughed, "I knew the top brass would cover for ."

"Don’t celebrate too soon!"

Han Wancheng glanced at him and continued, "It was indeed your personal behavior because you are no longer part of the security bureau!"

"Huh?"

Ling Feng was stunned, his eyes wide with surprise: "Boss, did you fire ?"

"It wasn’t ; it was a decision from above!"

Han Wancheng looked at him: "If we don’t sever ties with you, every ti you stir up trouble, the state will have to take the bla. It’s not that they don’t want to back you, but sotis what you do is too excessive, seriously affecting the overall situation!"

Ling Feng was speechless for a mont, then let out a bitter laugh: "Alright, if that’s the case, I’ll return my credentials."

He then took out his credential and placed it on the table.

"Feeling a bit lost?"

Han Wancheng looked at him and asked in a calm voice.

Ling Feng nodded: "A bit, yeah. I had just beco a director and hadn’t even ward the seat in Yin Province!"

"Don’t worry, though you’re considered a civilian now, you’re still a supplier for the security bureau. With that connection, Yin Province is still yours!" Han Wancheng laughed.

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was a bit confused, but after seeing Han Wancheng’s smile, he seed to understand sothing and asked, "I see, so this dismissal was just for show to the Aricans, right?"

"You’re so clever, and you haven’t figured this out yet?"

Han Wancheng gave him a look, then laughed: "Though I don’t entirely agree, I must say you did a splendid job dealing with those Hot Blood Society people!"

Ling Feng’s gloominess instantly vanished, his face beaming with joy as he laughed, "Right? I thought so too. It’s just a pity that I only dealt with a small number of people. I bet there are many Hot Blood Society mbers in the Arican military. Their existence is quite dangerous!"

"Don’t worry about it!"

Han Wancheng shook his head: "These people, like the Nazis in Germany, or the militarists in Dongying, are just so prejudiced hot-blooded youths, easily mobilized!"

Pausing there, he then smiled: "But it’s different now than in the past. Information is so accessible, and people’s minds are open. The old thods of propaganda are useless now!"

"They can’t cause much trouble?" Ling Feng asked.

Han Wancheng nodded, firmly stating, "Absolutely not!"

"Then I can be at ease!"

Ling Feng smiled, "Is there nothing else? Can I go back now?"

Han Wancheng looked at him: "Who said that?"

He then laughed: "You’re not officially in the security bureau now, but you still need to do the actual work, especially with supplies. You mustn’t slack there, got it?"

"I’ll just have the farm increase the supply then. Boss, why are you smiling so slyly?" Ling Feng asked, puzzled.

"What do you an by sly?"

Han Wancheng shot him a displeased look and then said, "Seriously, let

tell you, starting now, your supply tasks have increased. The supply of grains and side dishes has to double!"

"That much?"

Ling Feng’s eyes widened: "What’s going on, boss? Is the security bureau expanding?"

"Of course not!"

Han Wancheng shook his head: "The security bureau’s size has been determined, and that’s it. The extra people are from another team!"

Seeing him being all mysterious, as if there were so good news, yet deliberately keeping him in suspense, Ling Feng pretended to ask nonchalantly: "Is that so? Well, I understand now. But don’t expect

to beg you to tell . If you don’t say, I won’t ask!"
