Chapter 1624: Chapter 1623: Preparing to Depart
Gu Li nodded, "Alright, I’ll handle the design of the teleportation network. We can take our ti researching it when we have more resources!"
"Mmm, let’s first design the route to Antarctica!" Ling Feng suggested.
In the ensuing ti, the two of them mapped out the plan according to the map, initially estimating at least sixteen small teleportation arrays would be required, or four large ones.
Ling Feng thought it over, realizing he had plenty of Spirit Stones on hand, so there was no need to hold back. Thus, he decided on the large arrays, as this would actually be more convenient to set up, saving a considerable amount of ti.
Next ca the design for the teleportation arrays.
The installation locations for these setups are crucial, because almost the entire route traverses oceans, so they have to be made to float and stay put, fixed in one position.
This wasn’t much of a challenge for Ling Feng, since he had enough materials at hand and Gu Li’s technical staff supported him, making the problem easy to solve.
However, when they sought Zoran, she raised a concern, "Boss, it’s not a problem for us to manage the installation of the first two arrays near the shore, and it can be completed within a few days. But as for the arrays out in deep seas, our fleet simply can’t venture that far. Thus, I suggest you seek help from others."
"Alright, no problem, you and your team can focus on the first two!"
Ling Feng nodded, fully understanding her concern.
Both Zoran and her team co from a pirate background, with little experience in deep-sea navigation and no appropriate vessels on hand, so naturally, they couldn’t undertake the installation of the latter two teleportation arrays.
However, this was easily resolved. Ling Feng contacted Du Hao, stated his needs, and Du Hao promptly agreed to imdiately dispatch a fleet.
With support from the Shakya Tribe, the issue of installing the teleportation arrays was settled.
Following this, Ling Feng remained on the island, spending a few hours to craft four large teleportation arrays.
Zoran quickly led her team to start installing them, while the fleet from the Shakya Tribe was also en route, and upon arrival, directly loaded the goods and departed, completing the task within about ten days.
Ling Feng didn’t stay much longer on the island; once arrangents were settled, he returned to the Yinzhou Sub-bureau.
Later, he gathered Lin Yu, Mu Yuhan, and Chen Hong, saying to them, "I need to go out on a mission for a while, so I’ll rely on you three to take care of things in the bureau!"
"Where are you headed?" Chen Hong asked imdiately.
"I can’t disclose that. It’s a classified mission!" Ling Feng replied.
Chen Hong responded with an "Oh," before asking, "Can I go with you?"
"No, if you were allowed to go, there’d be no need to keep the mission secret!"
Ling Feng chuckled and continued, "Your skills are the strongest in our bureau, so we need soone capable at ho to handle unexpected incidents, hence you’re better off staying here!"
Hearing this, Chen Hong nodded, "Alright, since you said so, I’ll stay put then!"
Having settled work matters, Ling Feng hurried back ho, making calls to notify everyone.
Upon hearing Ling Feng was going away, everyone responded differently, but their main concern was his safety, unanimously reminding him to be careful.
...
...
Two days later, at 10 AM.
Ling Feng arrived at the Capital City, heading straight to the headquarters.
Han Wancheng was already waiting. Seeing Ling Feng arrive, he pointed to a backpack in the corner, "Take this, it’s packed with equipnt that might be useful in Antarctica!"
"Alright!"
Ling Feng nodded, picked it up, and imdiately stowed it in his bracelet, then asked, "So who’s going with ?"
"No rush, she’ll be here soon!"
Han Wancheng said, then looked at Ling Feng seriously, "Let
tell you, this mission is important, and you must protect the person well, got it?"
"Understood!"
Ling Feng nodded and laughed, "Given how much you care, this person must be important to you, boss!"
"Of course!"
Han Wancheng gave him an exasperated glare, "I’ve said my piece, if anything happens to her, or she gets injured, I’ll surely deal with you once you return!"
"Don’t worry, I assure you nothing will happen!" Ling Feng chuckled.
While they were talking, the office door was knocked upon, followed by a clear voice, "Reporting in!"
Han Wancheng: "Co in!"
Ling Feng was already stunned—the voice sounded familiar, it was Mu Yuhan!
Sure enough, once the door opened, Mu Yuhan strode in, dressed in sporty attire.
Seeing her, Ling Feng stared wide-eyed in astonishnt, "You—you’re going to Antarctica with ?"
"Yes, Brother Ling, I’ll be depending on you this ti!" Mu Yuhan smiled.
Turning to Han Wancheng, Ling Feng sowhat puzzledly asked, "She’s an expert in nuclear physics, why go to Antarctica?"
"There’s a reason for it; she’ll explain along the way."
Han Wancheng smiled and then said to Mu Yuhan, "Girl, I’ve sent the best from the Safety Bureau to protect you this ti. Rest assured, there won’t be any danger!"
"I know!"
Mu Yuhan nodded with a smile and then said, "If even Brother Ling can’t protect , there’d be no one in the world who could really."
"Uh, don’t say that!"
Ling Feng chuckled wryly. Previously, he thought it would be soone from the bureau accompanying him; now, seeing it was Mu Yuhan, he suddenly felt uneasy.
Because she was just an ordinary person, with no ability for self-defense.
Then, noticing her outfit, Ling Feng curiously asked, "Are you going to wear this outfit there? It’s extrely cold in Antarctica!"
"I know, but don’t worry, Brother Ling. My gear has already been sent to the plane!" Mu Yuhan replied.
"Alright, it’s almost ti for you to depart!"
Han Wancheng said as he stood up and extended his hand to Ling Feng, "I wish you success with your mission!"
"Thanks, boss!"
Ling Feng smiled, "Wait for my good news!"
Leaving the office, the three went to the parking lot outside, then Ling Feng and Mu Yuhan hopped into a car together.
The plane wasn’t here; they needed to go to the military airport in the suburbs. It took them half an hour on the road to get there.
It was a small jet, seemingly not very large, perhaps with only a dozen seats inside, which left Ling Feng a bit surprised, "Can such a small plane fly such a long distance?"
"Don’t worry, Brother Ling, this is the fastest civilian aircraft available!"
Mu Yuhan smiled lightly, "Due to the nature of the mission, we can’t use a military aircraft, so this is the only option!"
"Alright."
Ling Feng nodded, climbing aboard with her.
The cabin was empty, save for an enormous backpack resting on a seat—clearly belonging to Mu Yuhan. Taking a glance, Ling Feng remarked, "You’ve brought quite a lot of things; it’s inconvenient to carry. Let
store it for you!"
"Alright, thank you, Brother Ling!" Mu Yuhan nodded with a smile.
